I saw the eyes from my nightmares. Leaning though a hole in the wall they had just bombed, they scanned the room. Red and gold clashing, fighting.

I looked around careful to make no noise. Superboy looked dazed, Aqualad was fighting 3 ninja assassins, Miss M was knocked out, Robin and Kid flash was no where to be seen and Cb and Kitty were protecting the Princessa.

Wait why was I still on the floor. Demon eyes or not its time for me to fight.

I stood up and coughed. Loudly.

A pair of eyes whipped to me.

"ahhh Nightshade I didn't know you'd be here." red eyes spoke.

Yea sure you didn't. Liar.

"by the way my brother's sorry he couldn't make it, but he says hi, and he'll be seeing you soon." I snap my eyes up to the girl with the red eyes, blonde hair, tall, two guns strapped to her side.

Her brother's not here! The devil who wants to kidnap me isn't here! Only his sister, wow maybe life doesn't hate me. In some sick twisted way.

"Nike I didn't know you were still being a poor little slave for the Assassins, " I snapped.

Her eyes hardened, "oh me and my partner decided it would be good to mess up the leagues little sidekicks, and you know how my brother misses you." she giggled.

Wait partner.... Oh don't let it be..... I can't be that unlucky can I....

"yes and you still are." I slowly turn around to see a ghost of my past.

"Venus." I hissed

Looking at the girl who stood in front of me now. I saw familiar long brown, black hair, piercing brown eyes. She held a staff, it looked cute from over here but I knew it could be charged with deadly electricity.

I should know I gave it to her.

I looked at Nike and Venus's wrists they looked the same. A black tattoo crossed over their veins, my eyes glanced down looking at my pale wrist.

Deep beneath layers of makeup, I knew I had that very same mark.

"Come on its the last day of summer! We should do something!" Nike squealed.

"like what you already get drunk every night, and I'm think your high now." Venus snickered.

Nike scowled "I mean something for our friendship Venus. We need to do something lit! Come on Casey what should we do! "

I smiled and shrugged.

Venus pouted "What do we need to do now, I just want to go eat sorrbetto,"

"yes food is good." I said nodding my head.

"Fine I'll pick and you guys can't argue."Nike got a wicked gleam in her eye.

"uh oh" I mumbled

"To the tattoo parlor!"

I shook my self out of these memory's

No these are not my friends anymore, no my friends died that night at the lab. It was my fault that never should have happened. And now...

"Nightshade we heard you got a new team, I met a two as we walked over here. Oh boys could you come here." Venus smirked her eyes glowed pink.

"yes Venus," two echoing voices answered her.

Robin and Kid flash walked out of the shadows, their faces blank,

"now Nightshade give us the Princessa and I will release your friends from my control."

"You monster stop mind controlling my friends! "

Nike spoke "oh don't worry she can only control the boys, so 4 of your teammates are fine. Well five since the boy of steal is out cold. "

I glanced back to see Superboy lying on the ground. Not moving. I can't tell if thats a blessing or a curse.

Aqualad walked up next to Nike, under Venus control now.

"No"

"What?"

"I said no your not getting the Princessa! Miss M get her to safety, birds of prey circle up!" I shouted

I felt Crossbow and Kitty rush to my side as Miss Martion ran out with the Princessa.

"The boys are under mind control. Keep them off me, I'll take those two." I told the girls, they nodded getting in fighting stance.

"let's rumble." Kitty mumbled.

I charged Nike as she put up her fists, Venus reached up to strike with her staff, electricity crackled.

I ducked under the staff, and flew at Nike. she side stepped, but I kicked her legs out from under her.

I screamed, sharp pain was corseting though my body. I rolled to the side, looking up at Venus standing above me with her staff.

"Why can't you want patiently for you turn." I gritted out.

She raised the staff above her head, about to knock it across my skull. Until I punched her knee, she collapsed to the ground moaning, I think I dislocated her knee.

Well too bad she desserved it.

Girls I got the Princessa to safety.

I looked around started.

N:What the crap is going on!

M: Hello Megan, I set up a mind link so I can talk to all of you during the mission.

K: hey this is cool.

Cb: Kitty duck! Oh and useful too!

I was tackled from behind. Nike was on top of me with a gash on her head bleeding. She reached for one of her guns, and held in against my cheek.

"oh don't worry I'm not going to kill you my idiot brother made me swear."

Oh isn't that a shame I thought.

She flipped the gun around and smacked me with it. My vision swam, my lip busted, and I could feel the bruise growing on my cheek.

She had me pinned, I fought her until I got one hand free and elbowed her hard in the ribs. She jerked back, and I scrambled to my feet, and punched her hard in the jaw. She stumbled and I took the opportunity to roundhouse her knocking her back five feet, and groaning.

She looked me in the eyes. "This isn't over Casey, I'll be seeing you I mean my brother wants you back anyway, and he always keeps his promises. "

She whisked a long, high note and I lunged towards her, she dived behind me. I wheeled around to face her only to find her and Venus gone.

Crap how could I let her get away! Now she and Venus were on the loose and they wanted me. Not to mention the brother, the boy with the red eyes.
I turned to look at my team, only to find the boys pinned to the ground by Cb and Kitty.

The boys suddenly fell limp, shaking their heads they looked around confused.

"Why are we on the ground? And Aqualad and Supy got knocked out, wait where's Miss Martion! " Kid Flash asked.

The girls started to explain the fight, with Miss M chiming in telepathically that she and the Princessa were fine.

Until I heard something, a soft click.

I turned around and heard a gun shot, then there was a flash of white hot pain and the world started spinning.

Why is the world spinning, and why am I so tired now, I think I'm gonna close my eyes for a minute. Just rest a little.

"Nightshade!"

What, someone's calling me but who? They sound worried but I'm just going to take a nap. What's wrong? And that dull trying pain where's it coming from.

Wait that gunshot. Was someone shot? My brains too tired to think.

"stay awake Casey!"

But why I'm so tried, and why do they sound really upset. I open my eyes just a little to see messy black hair, and tan skin above me. That smell, like rain, and the mountains, storms, I know it.

"keep your eyes open!"

They sound so upset, so frantic, but I can't

"I'm sorry," I whisper as I slip into eternal darkness.
