032.

LANA HEARD the team over the comms.

"Stark, you worry about getting the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off," Steve said.

"So encouraging, Steven," Lana muttered.

The three helped people to safety and killed the robots at the same time.

A robot shot down towards Wanda and Lana blasted it away. She didn't know how what Ultron had done to her but she felt deadly. More powerful than she had ever been and it scared her slightly.

A few descended from the sky and Clint directed them towards a building. One fired and they jumped through a window.

An orange barrier surrounded them as they landed. They shuffled behind a wall and Clint looked at her, "How are you doing all this?"

"I don't know. He gave me something and I passed out," Lana shrugged.

"How could I let this happen?" Wanda mumbled.

"Hey, hey, you okay?" Clint asked.

"This is all our fault."

"Hey, look at me. It's your fault, it's everyone's fault. Who cares?" Lana snapped.

"Are you up for this? Are you? Look we need to know. Because the city is flying. We're fighting an army of robots, and I have a bow and arrow," Clint added, "None of this makes sense." A shot came through the wall and Clint fired back through it.

"But we're going back out there because it's our job. Okay? And we can't do it and babysit. It doesn't matter what you did or what you were. If you go out there, you fight, and you fight to kill. Staying here, you're good. I'll send your brother to come to find you. But if you step out of that door, you are an Avenger."

"All right. Good chat," Lana said. Clint stood and went out. Lana glanced at the younger girl, "You ready?"

Wanda nodded and they followed him. Wanda blasted robots as they emerged. Lana lifted her hand and the heads of the metal figures exploded into the air.

"All right we're all clear here," Clint spoke.

"We are not clear! We are very not clear!" Steve shouted.

"All right, coming to you," Lana replied. Pietro sped up and grabbed Wanda.

"Keep up, old man!" he shouted.

Clint groaned, "Nobody would know. Nobody." The two had some sort of rivalry.

"I would. Let's go," Lana laughed.

They started to run, "The last time I saw him, an Ultron was sitting on him," Clint pretended, "Yeah, he'll be missed, that quick little bastard, I miss him already," he joked.

They came up to the rest of the team and helped civilians into buildings.

Lana ran up to Steve as he and Tony were talking.

"Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're gonna have to make a choice," Tony said gravely.

"Steve these people are going nowhere," Lana told him.

"If Stark finds a way to blow this rock..." Natasha trailed.

"Not till everyone's safe," Steve denied.

"Everyone up here versus everyone down there? There's no math here," the younger Romanoff told him.

"I'm not leaving this rock with one civilian on it," Steve insisted.

"I didn't say we should leave," Natasha replied.

Lana nodded, "There are worse ways to go."

"Yeah, where else are we going to get a view like this?" Natasha smiled at her sister.

"Glad you like the view, Romanoff," a voice came, "It's about to get better." A helicarrier rose up over the clouds, "Nice right? Pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do."

"Fury, you son of a bitch," Steve laughed.

"Language," Lana teased.

"Ooh! You kiss your mother with that mouth?" Fury chuckled.

"This is S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Pietro asked.

"This is what S.H.I.E.L.D. is supposed to be," Steve corrected.

"This is not so bad," Pietro shrugged.

"Let's load them up," Steve ordered. They began directing the people out of the buildings and onto the lifeboats, "I got about 50 to 100 more coming after this group."

"Thor I got a plan," Tony called.

"We're out of time. They're coming for the core."

"Rhodey, get the rest of the people on board that carrier," Tony spoke.

"On it."

"Avengers, time to work for a living."

The team advanced towards the church.

"Romanoff. You and Banner better not be playing 'hide the zucchini'," Tony joked. Lana's nose scrunched in disgust.

"Relax, shellhead," Natasha replied, "Not all of us can fly." She entered the church a moment later, "What's the drill?"

"This is the drill," Tony said pointing at the mechanism in the centre of the building, "If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose."

Hulk roared as they stood united, "Is that the best you can do?!" Thor asked.

Robots came from all angles, "You had to ask," Steve said.

"Idiot," Lana mumbled.

"This is the best I can do," Ultron replied, "This is exactly what I wanted. All of you against all of me. How can you possibly hope to stop me?"

Tony sighed, "Well, like the old man said... Together." The robots advanced and Hulk roared.

Adrenaline pumped through Lana's veins as she fought.Using her powers to rip off heads and disintegrate limbs. Lana killed as many robots as she could.

"They'll try to leave the city," Thor said as some flew off.

"We can't let them, not even one. Rhodey."

"I'm on it."

"We gotta move out," Steve said, "Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats. I'll sweep for stragglers. Be right behind you."

"What about the core?" Clint asked.

"Lana and I will protect it," Wanda offered.

"What why me?" Lana asked.

"Because our powers are similar, maybe you can help me control them better," Wanda replied.

Lana nodded and the team left.
