I'm sorry I haven't updated in so long. My simple explanation is I hate APUSH (AP US History). I won't be able to work over the next two weeks because I have two show weeks for two different shows in a row. I'm going to die. And I'm spending all day tomorrow performing...

But that's not what this is about. I have been hearing about Article 13 and I just did some quick research on it. It takes five minutes to learn about what's going on. I live in the US, but I have friends and there are wonderful authors and creators and creative people who like in Europe who are having their rights taken away. I thought we had progressed to not taking away people's rights. I guess I was wrong.

So many people, including me, use platforms like Wattpad and YouTube to keep our sanity. I can't describe how much Wattpad and YouTube have helped me with my depression and anxiety. This website has saved my life. I have made so many wonderful friends through these websites. And I'm not alone. These platforms are a way to express ourselves, say what we feel we can't say.

Yes bullying might exist, but that doesn't our way the positives. I've seen the internet bring people together like nothing else can. This is a place where race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and where you live and what your preferences are don't matter at all. The community here is so welcoming. I feel more accepted here than anywhere else and so many others do. Websites like this give me hope for the future; there are people who can overcome all their differences and work together and be friends; there's a place where everyone is equal. Even with everything going on in the world Wattpad and YouTube are like a beacon of hope and acceptance. If someone doesn't know something, they aren't seen as less than- people join together to help teach them in a kind way.

Please don't take away our friends, our community, our undeniable acceptance, our sanity, our hope, our life. This is our haven. Don't take it away.

Spread the message. #protectyourcommunity

PS. Sorry for the misleading update. I just found this video (in the media) and it perfectly summarizes this issue in clear, easy to understand language. This is one of my favorite channels. And it only makes me feel more passionate. I'm getting ready to start a YouTube channel right now, and it's something I've wanted to do for years. This will effect that. Educate yourself. Find ways to make your voice heard. They can't ignore all of us.
