Inside I am a monster
A lying conniving monster
Who hides in the shade of trees
Waiting to pounce on its next prey
A monster waiting for the sun to set When the clock strikes midnight,
I howl into the night
Letting my imagination run rampant
And take flight until dawn is in sight

I pop up in a cold sweat
Realizing where I went
Was every bit as painful
As it was eventful
Seeing that there's more to me than it seems
That I'd been hiding the wild side of me,
That longs to be set free
And leave all innocence behind me

Despite the other night terrors, Surrounding me about my broken family
I now see that I cannot control anything
Just like my mother is lost
And my sister is lost,
I am lost too
Lost in the lies piling up
About my truest desires
My fear of all fatal attractions
Sleeping does not provide any distractions
