BUS STOP

I sat with nonchalance
You walked onto the bus
Immediately my eyes noted your brilliance
That big fluff of coarse hair
That covered your head
And cascade down to your shoulders
My stubborn eyes still like boulders
Every stop the bus made
Had me on the edge of my seat
My rapid heart skipped a beat
I longed for us to meet
I prayed to God I got the chance at least to say the words that hung on the tip of my tongue
"Hey, I like your hair"
My stop arrived
And you stepped off too
Your eyes glanced my way
I froze
And you were gone.
