Cherry Moon
April 12th, 2017
...And again, another week drags on.
Arthur doesn't know what to think anymore. Every night, as the moon rises, he hopes that Carmen will return.
It is spring, and cherries are just beginning to blossom. The coastal village has become a vast array of colours, streaked over trees and grassy floors like a bright, painted canvas.
He had set his alarm earlier than normal last night, 6:25 instead of 7:00.
Even then, he somehow awoke before anyone else did, before 6 o'clock A.M.
He and Soline had barely exchanged any words today before they left, just headed their separate ways to their first classes of the day.
Soline sips a mug of coffee while hurriedly completing an assignment at the last minute, right when she arrives at her first period classroom. She hates waking up early for school. Soline finishes everything in school so quickly that it isn't much of a problem, finishing writing at the last minute like this.
Today is the first day that she has her dark hair streaked with a bright orange colour. She is wearing a thin, silver necklace, with a single pendent hanging in the center of her chest. Her lips are highlighted with a bubblegum pink colour, and her dark eye makeup makes her eyes open up like they are two vast oceans every time she looks up.
Arthur has taken several walks around their apartment complex in the past few days, hoping to find Carmen, but to no avail.
Again, however, he is still not deflated or depressed to any extreme extent.
