Where am I?
Six wondered as she stood up. She noticed she wasn't anymore wearing her school uniform but a loose t-shirt and shorts over her bright yellow raincoat. She brushed her raincoat off of dust before looking around.
All Six could gather from her surroundings is that she is in a Forest. At night with the moonlight as the only means of light. With creepy huge tall trees. A while ago she was at her school, then in some hole, and now she was here in some weird forest.
Six heard creaking behind her and snapped to that direction. She saw figures in the shadows walking to her and Six quickly ran to the nearby bushes. Six peeked through the leaves and saw four doll children creaking. One of them that was in the front walked around, holding a sack.
"Where is the girl?"
Six jolted when she just heard one of the doll children talk. They had a squeaky voice and reminded Six of any cursed doll movie she had ever watched. Six shivered.
"She told us the girl would land here," the doll continued while walking around, "The shadow children couldn't get a hold of the girl and told us she would land here!"
"Bill, have faith on her. She wouldn't team up with the shadow children for no reason," another doll children piped in a squeaky, high feminine voice. Bill scowled at her and walked up to her, "She thinks she owns us all. She thinks she is the superior doll child when reality she isn't! I am sure she and that shadow child have a hidden agenda to why they are helping the Bosses! We musn't have faith on her, Annie, we must be wary of her!"
Annie cowered back while Bill shouted at her, the two other dolls shifted nervously. Debating if they should stop or just watch it.
"But... She promise us a better life if we follow what she and the Bosses say. I know she meant it, imagine Bill, a life without fear of being killed! We can be children again!" Annie said with so much hope, Bill frowned and turned, "And if she doesn't?"
"If she doesn't. Well, we can just team up and end her. It's not like she can defeat thousands of doll children," Annie said and the two other doll children nodded.
There was a nearby thud and the four doll children snapped their heads to the sound. "Over there!" Bill shouted as he ran for it, Annie and the other two following behind.
Six waited for the four doll children to be out of sight before standing up from her hiding place. What did the two mean? Who was the girl they were talking about? Or the Bosses?
She slowly stepped out of the bush and looked around, the wind blew and Six shivered on both the cold and in fear. The moonlight peeking through the trees branches only made it look creepier. The trees stood on edge and Six remembered the story Twenty-Three and Mono told about the trees that move.
Oh she hoped they wouldn't move.
Six patted her pockets and felt her lighter. Well seems like she isn't going anywhere without it. She pulled it out and flipped it open, the little familiar orange glow warming Six. She smiled lightly before looking around.
She was in a forest all alone, now where should she go?
Well, she picked the most worst choice. She followed to where the doll children walked off. Maybe that thud could be someone. Hopefully Seven, Mono, or Twenty-Three. Or even just a student from the real world.
Six carefully crept behind and kept an eye around the forest. She heard creaking and carefully quickened her pace. She saw the backs on the previous doll children and Six quickly ran behind a bush before they turned.
She peeked out to see one of them did turn before shrugging and quickly ran to follow the other three. Six carefully peeked out and ran for it, slipping to the backs of the thick trees and into bushes. Then she saw the four doll children stop before Bill held out the sack and ran.
"Wha- HEY!"
Six gasped once she familiarized that voice. It was Seven. She carefully peeked out to see Bill tying up the sack. Six's shoulders sank as fear and worry settled in, Seven was caught. Six took a deep breath, she has to save him. But not now, she was easily outnumbered and she doesn't have a ladle or an umbrella unlike some kids.
Bill slinged Seven-in-the-sack over his shoulder, "Well we got one of 'em. At least we won't go empty handed," he said and the three nodded.
"Quick, let's go back to camp before someone saves him," Annie inquired and Bill nodded, walking off with Seven-in-a-sack at tow.
Oh no I don't think so, Six thought while carefully sneaking behind them. While she was at it she thought of ideas how to save Seven. And she was lacking at that. She doesn't have any powers, she doesn't have any weapons, and her monster side only shows up in high pitched static TV sound. Six was completely empty handed, but she wasn't letting them take Seven.
She peeked out the tree she was hiding behind and saw the four doll children made it to a camp. It had four tents enough for their size and a fireplace in the middle. Bill, Six assumed he must be the leader, tossed Seven-in-a-sack to the ground near a small tent by the left and walked on to the biggest tent. The others sat by the fire, enjoying its warmth.
Can dolls even feel? Six doesn't really know about that.
She scanned the campside once again. The nearest place Six could hide is the small tent to the left and that was also the closest to Seven. But what can she use to kill off the dolls? A stick?
Six's eyes widened upon realizing it.
A stick!
Six smiled while looking around the place she is hiding at. There was only bushes covering the ground and Six carefully pushed them aside, there has to be a big pointy stick somewhere. If she wouldn't find a frikin pointy stick in the Forest, it's like saying water is wet.
Six walked on until she felt something on her foot. She reached down to see a pointy stick. Six carefully pulled it closer to her, suddenly her foot crunched down on some leaves, very noisily.
"What was that?" Six heard Annie squeak out and Six quickly shot down to the bushes. Hand on the stick and her body close to the ground, Six carefully crawled to the edge of the bushes trying not to make a noise.
"Toby, check it out," Annie ordered and Six heard something squeaking to her direction. Six froze as she felt the doll - or as Annie says it, Toby - move the bushes, she quickly peeked out to see the other dolls weren't noticing Toby push the bushes.
"Probably was a bunny," Toby shrugged while turning around, quickly Six silently shot out and stabbed the doll's chest before dragging it down into the bushes. It strangled and choked before Six punched it's head, it hurt but she managed to crack Toby's head to shatters.
Oh geez what strength, Six winced silently while shaking her numb hand she just punched and crawled away from the dead doll. The others seemed to notice that Toby was gone and Annie stood up, "Toby?" She called out while walking up to the bushes. Six crawled away and quickly ran to the tent while the dolls were busy looking for their dead friend.
"Maybe he ran off to find what caused the noise," the other doll guessed. Six blinked, how thick can they get that their friend is in that bush dead? Annie didn't seem to be convinced by it but sighed, "Alright then," she said as she and the other doll went back to the campfire.
Six crawled around the tent once more before the two dolls spotted her. She side-stepped and peeked out to see them both have their backs on the tent, and so on the sack too. Six took a deep breath and carefully made her way to Seven-in-a-sack if Bill didn't walk out the tent, making Six quickly hide behind the tent, once again.
"I just contacted the Puppeteer," Bill announced, "She'll be happy to hear we got at least one of the children from the Real World."
Six blinked and stayed silent, it sounded like an important conversation that could give Six some information on where they were. So she leaned back and eavesdropped on them.
"I wonder how would they feel that they are in the Nightmare World," Annie said, "That this place isn't like the time our worlds mashed up and messed the whole universe."
Six's eyes widened. Did she just say, that they were in the Nightmare World? Did that mean that the monsters here are going to be more ruthless and scarier than the ones Six and her friends faced back at the Incident? All the same, but now the monster wouldn't be like back at the Incident - the one where the adults still had a conciousness about another life other than being a horrid monster. Now, it would be just that horrifying monster with no conciousness about another life.
Six shivered, well that information is just... interesting.
"I'm sure the Lady and the Broadcaster will handle the machine better rather than the North Wind," the other doll said while rubbing their hands together in expectation, "I mean they prepared for two years just for this day! And it's about to happen! This will be a better world colliding than last time."
"Well, what happened two years ago was the worlds mashing up real bad. But now there can be a chance to create a portal. Actually, I've heard from the Puppeteer that phase one is ongoing. The Real World has been rattled," Bill said while looking around the campfire, "Now all we have to do is find the other three and join them-- Hold on where is Toby?"
"He went to look for something," Annie said and Bill frowned, "I don't think so," he said while walking off to the bushes.
Six held her breath once she heard their footsteps once again. She peeked out to see them walking to the bush where she first hid and killed the doll. Bill pushed the bushes aside while the two watched.
It was now or never.
Six quickly crawled out and held on the rope of the sack. She heard Seven groan inside and move, quickly she shushed him, "Don't worry Seven it's me," she whispered as she quickly dragged him away as quietly as she can go. She went inside with Seven-in-a-sack along.
Once she was inside she pulled out the rope and Seven pushed out from the sack. He wasn't wearing his uniform too but a blue jacket, his sloghtly tattered demin pants, and that cuff on his leg. Brings back memories.
He gasped, "Six!" He exclaimed silently and hugged her. Six hugged back, glad that she wasn't alone anymore after finding out that information.
They parted and Seven smiled, "Thanks, I nearly thought I would stay in that sack forever," he said. Six smiled back, "Of course I would save you dummy."
"Well, not really since we are still in this camp full of dolls," Seven said while looking around the tent and stood up to the desk. Six stood up and tilted her head while following behind, "What are you doing Seven?" She wondered and Seven picked up a flashlight.
"Well I found this. It's still dark outside and I guess we would need it," Seven said while slipping the flashlight into the pocket of his jacket and continued to rummage, only to sigh out defeated, "Well only paper and stuff that won't help us that much."
"I have a stick," Six said while raising her pointy stick she found, "And I have my lighter. How about food? I think we will need that the most," Six said and Seven nodded, "Of course that is very important before I become the snack," he said while walking off to a set of crates on the other side of the room. There was a cloth covering it and he pulled out some bread, he wrapped it with some clean cloth and put it in the pocket of his jacket.
There was a scream outside and the two jolted, "Okay, I think that is out cue to leave," Six said while walking out of the tent and Seven followed behind. The dolls were ghastly standing over the bush and Six slowly tip-toed out and was ready to run, yet one of the dolls spotted her.
"There! The girl!" They called and the other two turned. Six gulped and held on Seven's hand before running away. "What are you doing? LET'S GET THEM!" He screeched before he and the other two chased Six and Seven.
Six and Seven picked up their pace as they ran past the forest. It was still dark and Seven turned on his flashlight so they could see the Forest better. They heard the schreeches of the dolls behind them and Six looked behind to see them dashing through the Forest.
"How are we gonna lose them?" Seven asked while the dolls continued to chase them. Six took a deep breath and looked around, thanks to the moonlight, Six could see a big log just a little far away. If only there was a way to lose them...
Suddenly the clouds flew overhead and covered the moonlight, Six's eyes widened and she turned to Seven, "Turn off your flashlight!" She ordered.
"Uh, okay," he said and closed his flashlight. It was clearly dark, but Six took a deep breath and held on Seven's hand tighter as she ran to where the fallen log was.
Six squinted her eyes in the dark and saw the fallen log. She ran for it and crawled under, Seven followed and they both stayed inside the fallen log.
Six heard the dolls screeching and Six gripped on Seven's arm, and Seven quicky hugged her protectively. They both froze and waited.
"We lost them!" Bill growled just nearby and Six heard him kick something out of frustration. "We can't lose them, or else the Puppeteer will kill us!"
"Of course I know that Annie!" Bill spat and sighed, "C'mon, let's go find them. We can't just lose two of the children that quickly," he said and Six heard them walk away.
Six sighed once she heard the footsteps ger farther and farther. They were gone.
