Chapter 6
A/N: Hello Readers!! I am back from vacation and as promised I am here to update the sequel. Thank you guys for the comments on my previous Author's Note and for wishing me a good break. I will say I enjoyed it as I got to see some old friends but I'm also glad to be back home and able to post a new chapter.
Hope you guys enjoy it!
Y/N's POV
"So, Y/n, where will you and Katelyn be staying?" Dipper asked me as he glanced at the two of us. That had also grabbed everyone else's attention since that was a good question to ask. Where were we gonna stay? I was hoping that maybe we could crash at the shack but I've been thinking about it and there's no possible way that it could fit two more people.
"Well, I was wondering... if maybe we could stay at the Mystery Shack? I understand about room and everything and if we can't I'm sure my cousin wouldn't mind us over at her place-"
I begin to ramble before Dipper cuts me off, "You guys are welcome to stay with us. I'm sure Ford and Stan won't mind when they get back and don't worry about space; Bill and Markus actually upgraded the bunker to make it an actual living space underground so we can find you two a room down there."
I smiled at him and said, "Thanks, Dip-Dop, sounds great."
After Bill fixed Katelyn's car and drove it to the shack we brought all our stuff inside and decided to rest in the living room. Dipper told me that the two grunkles were actually out on a trip at the moment but reassured me that they should be coming back any day now. I can't wait to see Ford again, I've missed having a dad to go home to and know he was there waiting to hear about my day and know that I was okay.
Ford is basically the foil of D/n because he actually cares about me and worries about me especially when he hears I'm still being considered a freak. Stan actually heard about it one day and ended up finding out where Clarissa lived and went to her house with a shotgun. He didn't shoot anyone in particular, just some furniture and pictures and the cops were never able to catch him for the crime that he had committed.
Mabel had ran into the kitchen to get us snacks as the green humanized keyhole started flipping through channels to see what was on after he had gone to clean the sharpie off his face. The rest of us got settled with Bill and I on the floor and K.C. in the yellow chair with Dipper on the arm of said chair.
"So, how long have you been hiding this from me?" Bill asked as he leaned back on my lap with my fingers immediately going straight to his messy, golden hair to play with. I hummed in response and pretended to think about how long exactly it had been, prolonging my answer and making his patience run out.
"Stop teasing, Star, I want to know." Bill huffed as he sat up and glared at me.
"I've had this entire scheme planned since the end of senior year. You know how hard it was to keep my excitement in so I couldn't tell you?"
He laughed as he gently took my hand and began to caress it; he lifted my hand up to his lips and placed a soft kiss. I smiled in response, missing these simple, loving actions he use to give me. I could see Katelyn behind him still sitting on the yellow chair as she "secretly" took pictures of us. She is my best friend and I love her to death but she really needs to work on her stealth with taking secret pictures of her "OTP" as she likes to call us.
"Well, if your friend didn't come get me you would've been married to an entire colony of gnomes. It could've been worse, Gravity Falls isn't the safest place not knowing what type of demon you could've ran into."
"But nothing happened to me, I'm fine, Bill!" I protested as his grip tightened.
"Hey, Kitten, thanks for getting me when she was in danger." Bill said turning to look at Katelyn.
"It's Kool-Aid, Billie. Man, Y/n, you weren't kidding when you said he liked to give nicknames."
I laughed as Bill frowned at the nickname she gave him. He let go of my hand and wrapped his arm around me to pull me close to his chest beginning to stroke my hair. He moved himself so he could lean against the wall and closed his eye, our breathing becoming in sync.
"It's been so long." Bill finally said, breaking the silence as a weak laugh followed. I wrapped my arms around his torso tightly while nodding my head in agreement. Two years and the only way we have talked has been through technology.
Once Mabel returned with refreshments, I took a good look at everyone and slightly frowned. Everyone seemed to have changed while I was gone. None of them look as I remember them looking back only two years ago, it's incredible how things seem to change like that. I looked over at Mabel who seemed to have the same enthusiastic smile, minus the braces, but where were all her sweaters that she knitted? She looked more mature yet she still seemed to have her childish attitude just as I remember her having. Dipper now looked like he could be my older brother with the facial hair growing in and now the change in his voice. My Pines twins all grown up.
I took a peek at Markus; I haven't known him as long but I can definitely see a difference in his appearance. His leather jacket and hat seemed to stay but he seemed less rebellious and could pass as an average citizen in Gravity Falls and not some common thief seeing as he has cleaned himself up. Looking over at Bill it is hard to see a difference. He looked older, he didn't have that mischievous glint in his eye anymore. That cocky smile never left and his hypnotizing eye still continues to reel me into his grasp.
Bill stood while stretching his arm out to me, "Come on, Star, let's show you and your friend here where you'll be living."
Markus Locke laughed as he stood up as well and ran over to the gift shop. Katelyn took her backpack and skipped beside me as we linked arms. Bill rolled his eye as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him. It was literally a game of tug-o-war.
"You know, I'm all up for new things but how exactly am I going to sleep inside a vending machine?" Katelyn asked as we stopped inside the gift shop with Markus leaning against the secret door to the bunker.
"Sweetheart, do you know nothing? And here I thought you were Star's friend." Markus punched in the code as the elevator opened up for us.
I could tell her eyes were widening with curiosity as she stepped in, the demons and I following close behind her. Before the elevator doors could shut, however, Mabel ran over with Dipper following behind his enthusiastic twin.
We went down until it stopped on level two. I never visited level two, I wonder what types of upgrades they added exactly.
"Well, Y/n, Daggers and I needed a place to stay and no way was I leaving the shack so we were able to remodel one of the levels to our liking. You could say it's a house inside another house. The upgrades to this level were of course made by me and basically puts the upstairs to shame so we mostly spend our time down here now. I'm sure you will enjoy the newest upgrades to this level as well."
The doors opened to reveal what looked to be like a living room but calling it a living room as if it was like every other room in any other house would be an understatement seeing as it was Bill who created it. In the center of the room sat a leather black couch in front of a brick fireplace below a 500 inch flat screen tv. On the ceiling hung a chandelier that seemed to be made out of real crystals which would be accurate to Bill's taste. On the left was a hallway that went to who knows where but before you entered the hallway there was a giant pool table. On the right you could see another hallway which is where Bill was leading us.
"So, we tried to make it as modern as possible but then again we're demons and 'modern' isn't our specialty. Down this right hall is all the bedrooms which we have plenty of spares so choose one and it's yours. The left hall is the dining area, kitchen, and if you go to the far end I was able to add a movie theater for those rainy days that I'm just bored out of my mind and have nothing to do. I'm working on adding more rooms to it later but for now I guess I'm just stuck with this."
I widened my eyes at my blonde boyfriend as he didn't believe this to be enough. He walked forward to one of the doors and twisted the brass doorknob. Inside was a queen-sized bed with soft (f/c) quilted sheets. Across from it was a vanity filled with jewelry and different types of minerals. At the opposite wall to the one we were standing by was an entire bookshelf filled with some of my favorite stories and what appeared to be fanfictions I have read. I start to walk inside as I notice a (f/c) curtain hanging next to the bookshelf. Curiosity got the better of me as I pulled the curtains apart to see what looked to be the galaxy right in front of my eyes.
"Actually, it's just an illusion. A trick to the eye, if you will. This window can let you see anything you want. So...do you like it? I-I mean, is it enough because I can...w-well, I could always-"
I give him a quick kiss on the cheek to shut up his stuttering. His cheeks become dusted with a bright red as I laugh at this reaction.
After showing Katelyn her room which wasn't as decorated or prepared as mine, we spent the rest of the day in the shack. Mabel told me about her new clothing store downtown with her own fashion line. She even showed me some of her latest works which I couldn't help but try some on. Dipper showed me his new journal where he has put some of his latest discoveries of the paranormal in. Bill had to leave for a couple hours to go to a meeting with all the demons in town accompanied by Markus. When they returned, we ate dinner and ended the night with my golden demon and I cuddling on the chair together watching a movie with everyone else.
Once midnight struck, everyone had passed out on the living room floor with Bill and I being the last ones awake.
"Come on, my beautiful Star. Let's head to bed, we got a long day to plan for tomorrow."
We bid each other a goodnight as we went to our separate rooms. One word I can explain for all of this:
Perfect.
