Chapter 3

Louie stared blankly at Jordan, shocked at the question.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" He asked shaking his head softly.
"I asked you if you wanted to go watch a movie with me after school tomorrow." Louie blushed, his hands fidgeting with each other as he looked down at his lap.
"Um, uh, well, I, um......" Louie stayed quiet and simply nodded.
"Cool, it's a date." Jordan looked back and saw that he had to go into the principal's office. "Gotta go, see ya." He stood up and walked into the office. Louie was frozen in his seat, blushing madly. Huey and Dewey walked up behind him, tapping his shoulder. Louie yelped as he felt something touch his shoulder. He turned around and saw his brothers looking at him with a confused look.
"Oh, h-hey guys." He greeted.
"Why were you talking to Jordan?" Huey asked. Dewey and Louie glanced at each other.
"Reasons!" They both claimed in unison. Huey raised an eyebrow at his brothers before making his way into the hallway.
"Um, okay?" Louie looked over at Dewey and let out a breath of relief. "Second period's starting soon and I don't want us to be late." Dewey nodded and followed behind Huey.
"Wait, we forgot our stuff in Mr. Vyse's class." The triplets groaned in unison.
"Now we have to go back." Louie stated.
"Ugh! I don't want to go back in that classroom, can you guys go get my stuff for me?" Huey asked.
"Sure thing Hue." Dewey smiled at his brother. "Let's go Louie."
"Right behind you." Louie followed behind his brother in the direction of the classroom with their school supplies.
"So?" Dewey asked, nudging Louie gently.
"So, what?" Louie asked confused.
"What happened, what'd he say, what'd you say?"
"O-oh, right, Jordan." Louie looked down, blushing lightly. "He, asked me to hang out tomorrow, after school." Dewey smiled at his brother, a small fist formed behind his back.
"Really? Th-that's great." Louie smiled back at his brother.
"I know, I can't believe it, but, he called it a date. What does that mean?" He asked. Dewey's body stiffened as he continued walking.
"Not sure, but, one can hope. Right?" Dewey laughed softly.
"Um, yeah, sure." Louie looked forward, glancing at Dewey. 'Something feels, off.' They reached the classroom and opened the door. Mr. Vyse looked over at the two triplets before looking back down at the papers on his desk.
"Ah, I see that that brother of yours was sent home, huh?" Dewey rolled his eyes at the teacher and walked to his desk, grabbing his stuff and then grabbing Huey's things. Dewey and Louie walked back over to the door and opened it. "And where do you two think you're going?"
"To our next class?" Dewey answered in the form of a question. Louie looked back at his older brother, already outside of the classroom.
"And who said you could? This class is not over."
"It was over, when you sent our brother to the principal's office for the stupidest reasons." Dewey explained.
"Don't use that tone with me young man." Mr. Vyse shot back.
"Whatever, we're, leaving." Dewey turned his back to the teacher and walked out of the classroom, the door closing behind him. Louie smiled at him.
"That was so cool. I can't believe you stood up to him like that." The two brothers began walking to their second class, where Huey would be. Dewey smiled back.
"Thanks." He looked down and saw a piece of paper in his brother's pocket. "What's that?" He asked.
"Hm?" Louie looked at his pocket and reached for the paper. He opened it and read it, closing it and shoving it in his pocket right after. He took the clip out of his hair and put that in his pocket as well.
"Well, what'd it say?" The middle triplet asked.
"N-nothing." Louie answered.
"Louie? Tell me what it said." The youngest triplet took the paper out of his pocket and gave it to Dewey, looking away right after. Dewey read the paper and crumpled it, throwing it to the ground. He sighed and took the clip out of Louie's pocket, putting it back in his hair. "Louie, you are not a 'dork' for wearing that clip, okay?" Louie looked down and nodded. "It's okay, I'll make sure no one makes fun of you for being who you are." They reached their second class and found Huey standing outside the door, waiting for the bell to ring.
"You guys took forever." He complained.
"And we would've taken longer if you tagged along." Dewey joked.
"Whatever Dewey." Huey crossed his arms after taking his stuff back from Dewey. The bell rang and the current students in the classroom left, the triplets walking in once the room was empty. They sat at their desks, Huey's being front and center while Dewey and Louie's were in the third row, with one seat separating the two. The rest of the students walked in shortly before the late bell rang.
"Good morning class." The teacher greeted.
"Good morning Mr. Oleson." The class greeted. Louie watched the door, waiting for someone to walk in. Dewey noticed this and took out his phone to message him.
'Y R U staring @ the door? We just got here.' Louie jumped as he received the message, his phone going off for the entire class to hear.
"Louie, we've talked about this. No texting during class." Mr. Oleson looked over at Dewey. "That goes for you as well Dewey." The class laughed softly, Huey turned around to softly glare at his brothers. Dewey and Louie blushed madly, while still looking down at their phones.
'Jordan.' He simply texted back. Dewey looked at the text after putting his phone on silent.
'Oh, right.' Dewey turned his head away from Louie, looking out the window and rolling his eyes slightly. Louie looked at Dewey confused before looking back at the door when he heard it open. Jordan walked in holding a note. He gave it to the teacher and sat down in the seat between Dewey and Louie.
"Late again, as usual Jordan." Mr. Oleson placed the note on his desk and went straight to teaching. Louie listened as the teacher talked about the elements on the periodic table.
"Hey." Louie ignored the voice, thinking it was some one else's conversation. "Hey, Louie." Louie turned around and saw Jordan trying to get his attention. He blushed lightly and put his pencil down.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Can I get your number?" Louie's blush intensified.
"S-sure." He wrote his number down on the corner of his notes and tore it off, giving it to Jordan.
"Thanks." Dewey listened in on the conversation, rolling his eyes at Jordan's question.
"Can I get your number?" He mocked under his breath. "Whatever man."
"Dewey? Who are you talking to that is more important than listening to my lecture?" Dewey looked up at the teacher.
"Nobody Mr. Oleson." He replied. Mr. Oleson went back to teaching and Dewey went back to listening in on his younger brother's conversation. Jordan was telling Louie corny jokes that made the youngest triplet laugh softly. Dewey sighed sadly and rested his head on his arms.
'What does he even see in him anyway?'
