Chapter 9: The Plan

-Sam's POV-

I so don't get why Dean has to have that girl here. She's gonna be nothing but a distraction to him or worse... be a harmful distraction. Cas even said that she's a potential threat to not only us, but to society as well. How can he not be freaking out or have her locked in a cell until we know what she really is? I've been pacing back and forth in my room for what seemed like hours. Then out of nowhere, Cas appeared in front of me and just about made me fall over.

"Jesus Cas what have I told you about doing that?" I said in a frustrated tone.

"Sorry but it was urgent that I saw you first before I went to Dean. I fear that his judgment in this matter might be clouded by Hannah" he sighed.

"Tell me about it" I said rolling my eyes.

"While your brother and I were talking with her, I felt a very strong, very powerful... and evil presence in her room. Now it wasn't emitting directly from her, but something was in this bunker and either tried or did communicate with Hannah. I feel that whatever this thing may be wants to get her on their side and use her against us" he explained.

I looked at him in disbelief.

"That can't be possible Cas. This bunker was built by the Men of Letters and made it undetectable for supernatural things. Even angels and demons, unless we either give them the location or use a summoning spell" I replied running my hands nervously through my hair.

"I know. And I also know that we need to tell both Dean and Hannah, and that the best thing to do right now is to keep her locked in her room until we can find this thing and stop it from corrupting her" Cas added.

"Dean would never go for that! Even if he won't admit it, I know that he has feelings for her. And that is something that can't happen right now! Until we know exactly what this girl is and what she is capable of, we need to keep her locked up and away from Dean as much as possible. But I know there's no way he's letting her out of his sight. Especially after what both you and I witnessed earlier" I explained with a heavy sigh.

"What if there was a way we could get Dean away from her? If it was something he couldn't ignore such as... a hunt" Cas suggested.

I looked at him with bright eyes and knew this would be just the thing to get Dean away from Hannah and then lock her up.

"It would have to be something that is believable, not super easy but not super hard, and would have to give you enough time to put that girl in chains somewhere that's not here" I said trying to keep my volume low so that no one could hear us.

"I know someone that could help us and convince Dean so that he won't suspect anything from us" Cas replied.

"Who?" I asked in a bit of shock.

"Her name is Astrid. She's loyal to me and I trust her. Even after everything that happened when the angels fell, she has stayed true to me and I would trust her with not only my life, but yours and Dean's as well" he replied.

"Okay Cas, I believe you. But if we're gonna do this, then you better call her over and we'll work out some more details. I'll go back and keep a close eye on Dean and Hannah. Text me when Astrid has arrived" I explained.

We both nodded at each other and went our separate ways for now. I couldn't wait to get that girl out of this bunker and away from my brother and I... for good.
