Chapter 2
I awoke in my room, and I was really confused on how the fuck I got there until I remembered that I was hanging out with Clint last night and he probably took me back to my room. I got up and took a shower, once finished I dried my hair and got dressed. Once I looked in the mirror, I did a little gasp. I still wasn't used to the russet hair, and my brown roots were probably at an inch already.
"I need to get hair re-done soon," I said to myself, making a mental note. I reached into my white hoody pocket then remembered I have Bruce my cigarettes, all I had was my lighter.
'You could just buy another pack ya know. . .' The Voice said.
'No, I wouldn't betray Bruce like that. If I did that he'd be heartbroken. I promised, and I plan on keeping it.' I said back to it.
'Whatever.' I huffed and walked out of my room to the meeting room, since a meeting was going to be held. Already in the room was Natasha, Thor and Loki. Loki had a muzzle on and he had cuffs on that covered his whole hands up to his wrists. Thor would glance over at Loki once and a while to make sure he wasn't doing anything and Loki would roll his eyes each time. Natasha didn't seem to care less that the God that had tried to take over the world just a couple months ago was sitting two chairs away from her. She just sat in her chair, on her phone.
I sat across from Thor, and as soon as I sat down Bruce walked in, Clint trailing behind him. Bruce sat beside Natasha, and Clint beside me. Steve walked in a few moments later, looking kind of angry with himself. He was also wearing a pair of glasses.
"Sorry, I couldn't find my contacts." He said as he sat down at the head of the meeting table. It got kinda quiet and it was starting to get awkward.
"So Tammy," Steve had broken the silence. I looked up at him.
"I heard that you were in the Marines, what's it like?" Steve asked.
"Oh, it's pretty extreme if you ask me. The training is brutal and almost all the people who walk out of the Marines without having a lost limb are batshit crazy." I answered.
"Lady Tamitha, do you have any tales of war?" Thor asked, joining in.
"Well, uh, which kinds do you wanna hear? The stupid things me and buddies did when we had free time, or actual fighting?" I said, hoping that Thor wouldn't pick the fighting because I still haven't gotten over the experience of war.
"But let's refrain from the fighting, war here is taken a whole different way here than it is in Asguard." Steve said, stepping in. I looked over at Steve, smiling, giving him my thanks. Steve smiled back. I ended up talking about all the stupid things me and my friends had done when we had free time, ranging from 'Truth Or Dare' to setting our Commanding Officer's hair on fire. Tony came in in the midst of this, and just sat down at the empty seat which was on the other side of me.
Fury finally walked in and cleared his throat once he got to the grit of the room.
"Welcome back Agent Banner and Barton, and good work bringing in Sandfurrow," Fury said. It sounded weird whenever Fury gave a compliment, it always sounded forced like he seriously hates everyone and would rather just keep it that way.
"Sandfurrow is finally awake since Agent Banner thought it'd be appropriate to knock him unconscious for eight hours." Fury shot a glare at me. I only shrugged.
"He deserved it, the bastard. . ." I grumbled to myself. Fury continued though, acting like he didn't hear my comment.
"Sandfurrow is up for questioning. We will be using Loki mostly for this though."
"Why Loki, sir?" Steve asked. Fury looked at Steve, quoted an eyebrow at his glasses but proceeded with what he was saying.
"Loki has what you call, a 'Silver Tongue' meaning he can negotiate things out of you that you wouldn't normally say." Fury explained.
"Anyway, to continue, Loki," Fury went up to Loki, and looked him straight in the eyes.
"We need you to interrogate Sandfurrow. After you've helped with our dilemma, you'll get what you've been wanting." I started to wonder what Loki could've wanted. Freedom? More than likely that would be it.
"Everyone else," Fury looked to the rest of us, "You are allowed to interrogate Sandfurrow as well. Loki will be starting to interrogation in two hours. Meeting dismissed." Fury then left the room. Loki's shoulders heaved and he looked down in his lap. Bruce and Tony left the room, Tony's arm around Bruce's shoulders. Natasha left after them, Steve leaving after her. I got up and started to leave as well, but I looked back at Loki.
"Hey, Thor, can I take Loki back to his cell?" I asked.
"I am sorry Lady Tamitha, but no, Loki is my responsibility." Thor said, sounding like a kid who was insisting he could take care of his puppy. I nodded.
"Okay then." I then left to my room, since I had no where else to go.
