CJ's P.O.V

I watch as Cinnabun walks around the cave and sniffs the ground. I pick up a stick and throw it to her. She turns around and picks it up. She comes up to me and drops it into my lap. I smile and throw it. Cinnabun catches it in midair and brings it back over to me.

"Good girl Cinny." I whisper. Amethyst groans and opens her eyes. She quickly lifts her head up and gasps.

"C-CJ?! Where are we?! How did we get here?! What-"

"Amethyst, calm down." Amethyst takes a deep breath as she remembers where she is. "You ok now?" She nods.

"Have you heard or seen any sign of them being around here?" She asks. I shake my head. She sighs and leans back against the wall. Cinnabun climbs into her lap and curls up, basically shivering. It's pitch black out and the only light available is the moonlight, which isn't very bright. I can see in the dark, only because I'm a cat hybrid. Amethyst is unable to though, since she's not a hybrid like me. She leans against me and that's when I notice that she's also shivering. I take my jacket off and hand it to her. "CJ, aren't you going to need this?" She asks.

"I'll be fine. You're the one wearing a tank top and it's probably almost 50 degrees outside." I say. Amethyst nods and takes my jacket. She puts it on and wraps it around Cinnabun. She zips it up to where Cinnabun is trapped inside the jacket. My stomach then growls really loudly. Amethyst looks at me.

"You hungry?" She asks. I stare at her.

"No. My stomach just likes to growl for entertainment. Yes I'm hungry. I haven't eaten since basically lunch." I explain. Amethyst reaches into her pocket and pulls out a little container of chips. "Why do you always have chips with you?"

"Just in case of an emergency, like now." She says. She opens the container, but just as she does, I hear someone yell in the distance. "Her-"

"Hush!" I say. I head over to the entrance of the cave and look towards where the sound came from.

"Ceej, are you ok?" Amethyst whispers. A figure suddenly appears and stops and looks at us. He has short blonde hair, bright blue eyes, a blue jacket, black jeans, and black and blue sneakers. The guy then walks up to us.

"Who are you?" I ask. The guy smiles.

"You don't need to worry about that. I need you guys to follow me." He says.

"Yeah I'm good. Come on Amethyst, let's go!" I yell and pull Amethyst beside me as I run away from the guy.

"Go where? You guys are lost!" The guy exclaims. I look behind me and see the guy chasing us. I turn around and instantly bump into someone, knocking the both of us over. I sit up and meet eyes with Ty.

"CJ! Someone's grabbed me! Help!" Amethyst screams.

"Calm down Amethyst. It's Gabby." Gabby says. Ty and I get up and I look over at Amethyst, who is still a little freaked out.

"Well, look who I have found." Someone says. I turn around and see that guy who was chasing us. Ty suddenly grabs my arm and pulls me behind him.

"You two go with Gabby. I'll catch up in a minute." He says.

"Come on." Gabby says and runs off. Amethyst and I follow her.
