Jake: Wait What? Nightmare Town?

Dudley: Well honestly, it's hard to say. I dugged some research in the library not too far ago. From the archives it was called "Nightmare Town" while this town used to be mostly famous horror/supernatural legends, is also one of the most confusing.

Tommy: Confusing? Why is it confusing?

Dudley: Well it's a good example of the way folklore can get really complicated and convoluted.

Melody: So like you're saying...there's no single haunted farmhouse here, no headless train conductor or ghostly children running around in the woods...

Jake:...Or some of whatever shit horror movies come up with?

Melody gave him a glare to which he ignored while waiting for Dudley's answer to confirm their suspecions.

Dudley: Exactly... according to local legend. Nightmare Town is home to four or five separate legends, each with dozens of variations in its own right. It is a dark, foreboding place where there are ghosts, cults summoning monsters from hell, and even a serial killer were said to lurk around nighttime.

Jake:....

Melody:....

Tommy:....

That would explain the ghosts they were seeing and the cult symbols they discovered at the Warehouse.

Dudley: Has anyone told you guys yet the entire town was cursed, warning that it was dangerous to be in the area after dark?

Jake: Well...this was Howie's Grandmother.

Dudley raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Dudley: Whose Howie?

Melody: O-Oh right. We never introduced you to him. He's one of the people that live here. His grandmother is from an Native American tribe. She spoke to us telling us this town in haunted and have to leave before the week is over.

Jake: She was the old hag we were talking about when we first got here.

Dudley: Hmm...I see...

Jake: Anything else about this town we need to know?

Dudley: Well...needless to say, people were intrigued and wanted to learn more about this town. Back then in the summer of 2001. Some person had wrote in a book if you ever make a first visit to the area known as Hell Town. You may be surprised at what they could find.

Melody: Hell Town?

Dudley: A town that is similar to Nightmare Town which had their own local legends. Hell Town is a nickname given to the northern part of Summit County. The areas most often associated with the Hell Town legends are Boston Township and Boston Village.

Melody: But that's far away in the portions of Sagamore Hills and Northfield Center Townships.

Dudley: Yeah...In most of the legends, all of these areas are combined into one large region, which is referred to as Boston Mills. Nightmare Town which is located in the desert highway of California.

Jake: Well whatever about that. We need to get the fuck out of here. Do you know anyway, Dudley?

Dudley: I could hitch a ride again...if I ever find one. What about you guys?

Jake: Tessa is trying to see what's taking her car so long in the shop. She's thinking of taking us with her. If not, we could go to other pension on the side of the city.

Dudley smiled at that and nodded.

Dudley: At least you guys know a way out. BTW, I was wondering something.

Jake:....Which is...?

Dudley: Could you guys take me to the warehouse? I want to check out this black monster you speak of?

The siblings all stared at him in horror like he just grew a second head.

Tommy:....

Melody:....

Jake:....Have you gone insane?

Melody: I second that! Please excuse me...but what the actual fuck?! Have you lost it?!

Tommy: Y-Yeah! Why would you want to go to a place where a monster is at?!!

Dudley: *Sighs* For some reason, I knew you guys would yell at me. The reason is I want to know is because I'm intrigued. You may call be a cryptic but I think it's kind of cool that this town has their very own monster!

Jake: So you're a risk taker?

Dudley: Yep. I am! Life is full of many adventures and mysteries. Which is one of very reasons I've came to this town.

Melody: Yeah. But it's better to stay safe and avoid things that could kill you!

Tommy: R-Right! That's right!

Jake:....

Dudley: Please Jake! Let's go see that monster! I just want a peek.

Jake: Has anyone ever even told you that you're crazy?

Dudley: I've been called a thrill seeker sometimes. But come on dude. I just want a peek just to make sure.

Jake:....

The eldest sibling looked at Melody who was shaking her head no. She didn't want to go back there. Can you blame her. She just saw something that was utterly traumatizing. She and Tessa were barely able to get out of that situation with their lives.

Tommy was also shaking his head no even though he has yet to see said monster.

Jake: *Sighs* Fine...We'll only go and take a peek but I can't put my siblings at risk. They're too scared.

Dudley: That's okay. It's just a small peek.

Jake: Hmm...

*Later*

The siblings went back to the abandoned Warehouse. They were now at the exit door as Jake looked at them.

Jake: Okay. We're only going to be in there for a few minutes and then we'll be out. If you guys see anything. Holler. Okay?

Both Melody and Tommy nodded.

Tommy: B-Be careful.

Jake: Yeah...

With that, both him and Dudley went inside.

Jake: Man. This place is spooky. Especially since all the lights are off.

Dudley: You said it dude.

Jake: Okay. So Melody said Tessa had trapped the creature behind a door with three large boxes. We're just going to take a small peek at that and leave.

Dudley: Gotcha.

Jake: No tricks, Dudley.

Dudley: Come on Dude. I promise I won't do anything.

Jake:....(I find that hard to believe, TBH.)

They went further into the warehouse and stopped at the door where Melody had told them where the monster was at.

But...

Both males had stopped in their tracks. An horrific sight met their eyes as both their stomachs dropped to the ground.

There were shredded boxes with claw marks everywhere with a scent of blood spewed everywhere hitting the room.

Along with the door which had contained the monster inside...was now wide open...for who knows how long.

Jake:.....It's Gone.

Dudley:......

Not wanting to stay any longer, Jake and Dudley ran out of the Warehouse out of fear.
