Chapter 16 Part 2: No One Believes Us

Tessa: H...Help!

The people inside stopped what they were doing and looked at them.

Melody: T-There's something inside the Warehouse! It attacked us! We need someone to get a gun!

......

Melody: We're serious! Don't you believe us?!

The people inside the bar didn't say a word. They just continued staring at the two girls like they were insane...before ignoring and going back to what they were doing beforehand.

Tessa: (What the hell?)

Barkeeper: You girls probably saw a coyote or another animal. Most of them are always around~!

Melody: I know what we saw! We're not crazy!

Barkeeper:....You sure about that? Unless you're here for a drink or something, please leave the bar. You're disturbing the other customers.

Melody:....

Melody didn't say a word as she let Tessa pulled her out the bar. The younger girl looked so loss, scared, and confused.

Tessa: Let's...Let's go find the boys... they're probably back at the Motel.

Melody: *Tears*....(Why...Why does no one believe us...I'm not crazy...I'm not...I'm.....)

Tessa lend a shoulder to the girl as Melody cried all the way back to the Dusty Creek.

*Later*

The girls had returned to Dusty Creek Motel. The boys were already there. Both were shocked to learned what happened from the girls' side...

Tessa: And just like that...no one believes us...

Jake: Whoa...What the fuck...

Jake had a hard time processing what the girls had told him and his brother. From what he had learned. A vicious monster is loose in the town. The girls managed to trap it inside the Warehouse but no one believe them.

Tommy: *Whimpers*

Tommy on the other hand, looked ready to cry again.

Tommy: I wanna go home...I wanna go home...I don't want to stay here anymore.

Jake: Don't worry. I will find a way back home. Just be a little more patient.

Tommy: But I wanna go home now!!!

Jake: We can't Tommy! How many times that we have to tell you we can't at the moment!

Tommy: Well it's not fair! I'm hungry! I'm scared! I don't want to stay here! I WANNA GO HOME!

Jake/Melody: SHUT UP ALREADY!!!

Tommy: WAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

The boy started crying obnoxiously while the other siblings groaned. Seriously. Cry. Cry. Cry. That's all he can do.

To them, he was such an annoying brat and they wish he just shut up.

Tessa: Tommy...Please... Don't cry. We'll find a way out. We promise. Just please. Like your brother said. Be a little more patient.

Tommy: *Sobs* *Hiccup*

Jake: Tch. Spoiled Brat.

Tessa: *Motherly Tone* Jake. He's your brother. Like he said, he's scared. He has every right to be.

Jake: But he's soooo annoying!

Melody: So are you!

Jake: Tch.

Tessa: Anyway. What happend on your end?

Jake: Nothing much. Unlike you guys, we didn't find much. In fact, we did went to the Bar earlier but we couldn't find Dudley anywhere.

Tessa: Huh...I wonder where he could be...?

Jake shrugged. Who knows.

Jake: Maybe he's looking for a way out of this town.

Tessa: I hope he didn't abandoned us! That's poor sportsmanship!

Tommy: Sportsmanship?

Tessa: Yeah...meaning not being a team player! We're supposed to be in this together right. Someone had locked us in that Warehouse on purpose. Which means someone does not want us snooping around.

Jake: So playing it safe is out of the question. We better be more careful for now on.

Melody: Whether we're being careful or not....Did you remember what we said about the Misty posters...and locking us inside the Warehouse with that creature...Someone did that on purpose...

Jake: Which means someone is indeed watching us in this town...

Tommy: I'm afraid...

Jake:....We all are, Tommy...We all are...

Sensing the atmosphere turning a bit sour, Tessa decided to ask another question.

Tessa: Did anything else happen?

Jake: Not really...Oh...but we did happened to find a weird occult symbol behind the alleyways.

Melody: Huh...We happend to find one in the Warehouse.

Jake:....Fuck. Are we dealing with a bunch of satanists people in this town?!

Tessa: Oh God...Do you think they could be sacrificing Misty to some dark overlord?!

Jake: Did you get that straight out of a movie!

Tessa: I'm being serious!

Jake: Right. Sorry.

Melody: .....That monster...what was it...?

Tessa: It was black...scaly...had wide teeth and sharp claws..

Tommy:...

Tessa:....

Jake: I wish...we knew...But then again, I probably don't want to find out.

Tessa: (I just want to find Misty....)

Melody: (That monster...was it the same thing Jake saw in the alleyway two days ago when we got here...the same very being...that killed that dog...?)

Melody still didn't know what to make of it. But she did knew one thing. She knew what she saw. She wasn't crazy.

She's never been so anxious in her entire fifteenth years of her life.

That thing was no coyote...

It was a monster...

A monster from HELL...

And she got a bad feeling that...this won't be the last time she'll that thing again.

Deciding to hit the hay for the next day. Jake and his siblings leave Tessa's room to return to theirs. They stopped mid-tracks to see the old lady again in traditional native american clothing front of their room.

Jake: Hey...that's...

Tommy: Howie's Grandma...?

Melody: What is she doing here?

Jake: More importantly...what is she making on our door?

Melody: Umm...Excuse me...?

The old lady turned to them, stared at them for a moment or two before putting a charm with a strange arrow symbol on their door.

She then proceeded to do the same to Tessa's door.

Then she finally turned to them again giving them her full attention with a intense look on her face which startled the Parker Siblings.

Old Lady: These charms are symbolized to help ward off any evil for tonight. It's for protection.

Jake: What?

Melody: Protection...?

Old Lady: You kids must get out of this town before the end of the week....before it is too late...

She walked down the stairs. Before Jake and his siblings could even bother to chase after her, once she had reach the next floor. She had vanished.

Tommy: ...W-What does she mean by that...?

Melody: ...Before what is too late...?

Jake:....(Disappeared Outsiders? Shredded Missing Posters? Monster Attacks? Cult Symbols? Just what the fuck is going on here in this town?!!)

Whatever the Old Lady meant by that, the Parker Siblings had a bad feeling that if they stay in this town any longer than they should.

Something...much terrible was going to happen.
