Author's Note
The art isn't mine again and I feel kinda lonely so I really hope someone reads this book and I hope you enjoy the chapter also there's violence and bloodshed in this chapter.

Nightmare's POV
Me and him kept vigilant for any danger and as 8:30 rolled around and we heard large footsteps outside and it sounded like a grizzly bear so we quickly walked outside and we were battle ready as I had a knife and he has an entire sword and we saw that it was a giant red panda and it's definitely corrupted and the second the creature saw us it charged forward and it quickly lunged at Slenderman but he quickly teleported out of the way as I tried to stab it in the throat but I missed and it was also moving around as my tentacles weren't big enough to fully wrap around the enemy so I ended up just giving it a decently sized cut on the shoulder and suddenly it got it's jaw's around one of my tentacles and I screamed in pain for a moment before I suddenly had an idea but I needed to ask first.......

Nightmare: hey bro do the corrupted react to pain or is their rage too strong for that to work, I screamed loudly both from the pain and so that he can hear me.

Slenderman: no that won't work just hold on while I figure out how to use this sword.......

Nightmare: YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE A SWORD THAN WHY THE FRICK DID YOU CHOOSE THAT AS YOUR WEAPON!!!!!, he screams in pain as the grass is getting sprayed with a black gooey substance (Nightmare's version of blood) and the creature is biting down hard but because his tentacles are made of goop it's impossible to get bitten off but it still hurts him because he can feel all the pressure of the bite due to the fact that it's still one of his limbs.

Slenderman's POV
I eventually got a good grip on the sword and managed to thrust it into the beast's chest and it lets go as it bleeds out and dies and the blood is all over both them and the sword and it's all the way up to his ankle (which is quite high because Slenderman is very tall) but eventually as the blood was soaking into the grass the creature awoke with no sign of any injuries and began to freak out but anxiously mumbling, where am I and why so much blood! As they began hyperventilating and panicking..........

Slenderman: relax you got the corruption virus and we cured you the blood is just a side effect of us curing you, I say softly and calmly while thinking oh this girl has no idea and I gotta figure out how to tell her about all this later oh and nightmare passed out from the pain and I picked Nightmare up and held him gently in my arms.

???: oh! Well my name is Meilin Lee but you can call me Mei........ is he okay, she pointed to Nightmare in Slenderman's arms as she transformed into a human.

Slenderman: he's passed out but he'll be fine after— wait you're a human that's perfect than you can live with us until we find your home and your family and she mumbled "fine" and I opened the front door to the cabin but I quickly said, please no shapeshifting indoors but feel free to use your powers if you're outside and I have a bunch of guest bedrooms and you can sleep in one for a while. I say as she goes into the house and I show her which room to sleep in and she lays down and instantly falls asleep as I walk upstairs and gently place the passed out Nightmare on a bed in another guest bedroom and tuck him in tightly before going to my bed as I know for sure that Mei is deeply asleep so I'm good to go to bed and I hope that Nightmare is gonna be okay as my eyes drift shut and I fully drift off to sleep.
