Night Mist And A Normal Family
"Who are you?" asked the boy in white shirt to Mist, who was still crying while sitting at the beach. When the boy saw she was crying, he hurriedly came over to her. He looked about Mist's age.
"Are you okay?" he asked. Mist wiped her tears away and looked at the guy. He had spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, and pale skin.
"Yes I'm fine, just a bit lost," she said trying to hold back her tears.
"Lost?" he asked looking confused. "How did you get lost at Heaven City?"
"Heaven City?" asked Mist confused. "Where is that?"
"Heaven City? The largest city in the world?" he said. "Are you sure you are okay. I could take home for the night, my family lives near here."
"I guess I could go," said Mist. Not like they can take me hostage. She though as she followed the guy.
"Name's Austin Wyatt , by the way," he said.
"My name is Mist," she said as they kept walking. They got out of the beach, and Mist looked around at the city. It looked pretty normal, like the ones her father had showed her when she had asked to see pictures of other worlds. It didn't seem as advanced as other worlds she had seen, but it still looked nice. When they finally arrived at his house, it looked normal too. The light were on, and through the window she could see a woman cooking, a man reading a newspaper while talking to a young boy. It looked like a normal family. She had grown up only with her dad, so she never had a mom. Her dad had raised her alone, and taught her how to control her powers, even though there was an infinite amount of them, he took the time to teach her as much as one can about something like that. Mist stopped, and a tear came out of her eye. Had she not been reluctant to use her powers, she could have healed her father.
"Hey, are you okay?" asked Austin as he was getting his keys to open the door. Mist wiped her tears.
"Yes, I'm okay," she said. Austin opened the door and walked inside. There a the woman came to check. She had blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail, wore a pink sweater and jeans, and a white apron.
"Austin! You are home, did you have fun with your friends at the-" she said but interrupted herself when she saw Mist. "HONEY! Austin brought a girl home!" A man in a brown suit and tie came out, unlike his son and wife, he had brown hair.
"What are you talking about, Austin has never-" he interrupted himself the same way she did when he saw Mist. "Impossible! I would have never thought my boy would bring such a beautiful girl home!"
"To think my boy would have a girlfriend!" said the woman. "This is an amazing day!" Mist was just confused at what was happening.
"Mom! Dad!" yelled Austin looking rather flustered. "She's not my girlfriend!
"What's your name sweetie?" asked the woman shaking Mist's hands up and down quickly.
"I'm Mist," she said. What's a girlfriend, she thought secretly. Her father had never taught her that.
"Beautiful name!" she said. "Mine is May Wyatt, and my husband over there is Miles Wyatt. Now come, we can have dinner together and tell me all about it."
She took her to the dining room, and Mist sat down. May took out a lot of delicious food that made Mist's stomach grumble. Austin was trying to tell his parents about Mist, but they were too delighted about their son having a girlfriend, whatever that meant. Mist then felt someone watching her, she turned to see a boy that looked about twelve. He wore a regular black t-shirt, and brown shorts, like his mother he had blonde hair.
"Hmm, you are my brother's girlfriend?" he said with a bored look.
"Who are you," she asked.
"I am Trevor, Austin is my big brother," he said with the same bored look. "So you are his girlfriend?"
"What's girlfriend?" asked Mist.
"What do you mean?" asked Trevor, but he was interrupted by May who just sat down.
"Now tell us! How did you meet our son?" she asked.
"Mom! She really isn't my-" Austin tried to complain, but he was stopped by his father.
"Let us hear boy!" he said trying to listen to Mist's story.
"Well I was at the beach when your son found me," said Mist explaining.
"At the beach? How splendid!" she said looking happily. "I would have never imagined it! My boy finding a beautiful girl at the beach!"
"So Mist, tell us about your family!" said Austin's dad. Mist remembered all the good memories she had with her father. She started talking about him, and everything they had done. How he had taught her everything she knows, apart from her powers, she focused and all the other good memories. But the she remembered the last time she saw him. Tears started streaming down her face.
"Oh, poor girl," said May. "Sorry to hear about your father. But, where are you staying now?"
"Nowhere, I guess," said Mist wiping away the tears.
"Well, the it's settled" said May standing up. "You may stay here with us."
"What!?" yelled Austin looking at his mother confused. "But we have no more spare rooms!"
"Well, I assume she can stay in the same room with you," said his dad.
"But dad," said Austin, but then he realized they wouldn't listen. "Fine. I will show her the room."
"Mist, please go with him," said May. Mist nodded and followed Austin.
------------
Austin took Mist to his room. It looked like any normal bedroom. There were posters on some walls. A desk, with a computer on it, next to it was a bookcase with some books on it, and pictures. Austin took out a bed futon from his closet and put it next to his bed.
"Why are you putting that on the floor?" asked Mist.
"Well, it's not like we can sleep on the same bed," said Austin.
"I can just get a second bed," said Mist.
"Wait, what?" said Austin confused. Mist pointed her hand to his bed, and suddenly a second one that looked exactly the same appeared next to it.
"What the heck!?" he said backing up. "What did you do!?"
"What do you mean?" asked Mist, not seeing what was wrong.
"What do I mean!? You just brought another bed out of nowhere!" yelled Austin.
"Is this one of those universes?" said Mist realizing what was wrong.
"What do you mean by one of those universes!?" said Austin confused.
"Well, I am an Multiod created by my father," said Mist, "I am a combination of the DNA of every single being in every Multiverse."
"Oh man, what have I gotten myself into," said Austin. "My parents are gonna freak out if they find out."
"Hey Austin," said Mist looking at Austin seriously.
"What?" asked Austin.
"What is a girlfriend?" asked Mist.
