"You can call me Jungkook or Daddy, whatever you prefer....."
"I'd rather prefer daddy but since I don't hit on my boss's friends on the first day of work-" That's what cooked up in my brain but saying it out loud could get me fired so it was a clear no no.
He kept stroking my arms with his cold fingertips as my breath hitched within. I looked over to Jimin with alarm in my desperate eyes.
Anger. The only emotion I sensed though he was displaying calmness through his face.
Fast, impossibly fast, he crossed the room, grabbed Jungkook's wrist and slammed his hand onto the table cracking the glass placed upon it.
His display of strength left me wowed as Jungkook didn't quite seem to get hurt. At all.
An awkward silence consumed the air around the three of us. Taehyung still didn't seem to care.
"Hands to yourself Jungkook." Jimin commanded the latter while he only puffed a warm breath out of his nose trills irritatingly.
With a scowl, he jerked his hand back and sat on the chair still staring at my figure whilst a smirk danced on his lips whatsoever.
Once the atmosphere became stable enough for me to puff out the air from my breathless lungs, Jimin tapped my shoulder gently.
"I apologize for the younger one's behaviour Y/N since he doesn't have the manners to do it himself. Can we be back to business now ?"
"Yeah sure." I regained my posture after rotating my shoulders, keeping my mind off the most recent events which took place.
"To commemorate our business partnership here, Y/N has some gifts. If you could do the honours."
"Of course." I reached out for the jewelled scarab which was to be given to Mr Kim Taehyung. I handed it over to him carefully as he turned the piece in his hand, admiring its beauty.
He glanced upon my face as if noticing me completely for the first time. Both of our eyes met.
His were brown and the deepest, the most beautiful I had ever seen like I could lose myself in those very eyes.
"Thank You....Y/N." His husky voice in almost a whisper as he pronounced each syllable present in my name slowly and curiously.
As he licked his luscious lips again, he continued the contact of the flesh just a little longer as I gulped at the sight unknowingly.
Jungkook cleared his throat loudly pulling both of us out of the moment. "Oh that's just lovely and poetic but what do I get?"
You don't deserve shit asshole.
I handed him the ancient dagger but as I did, he didn't miss the opportunity in facetiously making a point to touch my hand. I pulled up a face of disgust which he didn't care about.
A sigh left Jimin's mouth as he ignored Jungkook's action widely. "Thank you for the acquaintance. You may leave." Without glancing back, I left the room after giving a slight bow.
I am just glad I made through that WITHOUT passing out.
I headed towards the waiting hall situated at the designated floor not knowing what to do. I went through my phone getting bored after which the doors parted as Jimin greeted his goodbyes to the men.
Turns out hours had passed while I was too busy aww-ing over cat videos who were trying to eat cereal and bread crumbs.
I tucked my phone in the bag as soon as he started approaching towards the couch I sat on.
"You are still here ?" He asked astonishingly after glancing at the time of his watch. 11:16 pm it showed.
"Well, I wasn't sure if you needed me so..." I replied back with a sheepish grin while he heaved a sigh of relief. "How was the meeting ?"
"...satisfactory." He answered after giving a long pause. Lost in his own thoughts probably.
"Ok..ay... So do you still want my presence or maybe...should I go home...?" I asked hesitantly in the most formal way I could imagine. What else would you expect from an 18 year old who didn't give the literature test because she didn't feel like it that day.
"You are welcome to go home but it's completely your choice." Though he said that, it occurred to me as if his eyes suggested something else. Those angelic yet mysterious orbs sucking my whole existence within them.
His whole face, the jawline, the cheekbones, they seemed too perfect to be true. The silk-smooth skin shining beneath the dimly lit night lights.
"Uhh-Y/N....?" Zoning out whilst staring at someone's face can be creepy as Jimin sheepishly narrowed his eyes at my mouth agape. Gotta stop doing that.
"Oh-I guess I will head home then. Good Night!" I excused myself at lighting speed trying not to make a fool of myself. Again.
"Goodnight." He wished and turned on his heels, walking away towards the farther end of the long corridor.
"And yeah it's quite late so watch out for all those strangers in the dark. Bye!" He waved before disappearing behind the many walls.
I sighed and congratulated myself for having survived the day before moving out in the fresh Seoul air.
It was around midnight so no cab or taxi which could drop me off was visible on the empty main roads. Some street lights flickered as occasional drunkards came into sight around the dark corners of the city.
I tugged my coat tightly and walked at a slow pace taking in the view of the night. It felt almost impossible for such a bright place to be so dull. The ever hustling atmosphere was somewhat unbelievably quite.
The wind was blowing so softly for the leaves to dance a bit glorifying the sky. As the soft air kissed my cheeks, I shivered a bit with a sense of calm, peace and relief.
Just as I continued wandering, the sensation of someone beside me aroused. I looked behind but nope, no one was there.
I still continued walking with a faster pace as the footsteps became quite obvious. Soon I saw the shadow of a tall figure hovering over mine.
Before I knew it, my feet started taking me out of the scene at an incredibly high speed. Not having the courage to look back, I continously stepped ahead of myself.
It was at that moment when the unusual figure grabbed my hand, forcing me to face back. Terror and fright consumed my senses completely as the fragile heart hammered in my chest threatening to break out the next moment.
This is it. This is how I die.
"Hey." The unknown greeted as a memory came flashing back in my mind after hearing it. The voice. It felt familiar and somewhat comforting.
Me and him, playing on the swings, running on the soft grass. Grabbing each other's hair, wrestling as if our lives depended on it.
Promising each other we won't let go but we were small, young and innocent.
"My pink princess~" And after hearing those exact same words, a ton other childhood pictures flashed in my mind making it clear that the person was none other than him himself.
"Jin ?"
