Two days passed by since Taehyung moved into the castle and till now Jungkook didn't even move a finger....

At first even though the prince refused to train he did give in to Tae's non stop nagging and trained a bit but from the very next day onwards he didn't even care to come out of his room

Taehyung tried to talk to Jin about this but the elder just told him that's his responsibility to make sure that the prince is well trained and that he would have to find a way on his on

To say Taehyung was frustrated would be an understatement... He knows the reason behind Jungkook's hate for guards and anyone working for royals but that doesn't mean he would have to hate everyone single one..some might be actually genuine...and he can't understand why Jungkook is fine with Jin and Yoongi and not him

Taehyung was simply sitting in the courtyard... thinking of ways to get the prince to train when the said male walked out towards the kitchen

' Prince' Taehyung ran behind him and saw the prince gulping down some water

' What?' Jungkook asked nonchalantly...walking back to his chamber

' We need to train'

' No...we don't'

Taehyung had to take in a much needed deep breath to stop himself from kicking the utterly annoying man
' It's my responsibility to make sure you are safe'

' Then do that' Jungkook shrugged 'Who is stopping you?'

' You! I can't do anything until you cooperate with me...this is not how things work!!!' Taehyung exclaimed exasperated 'What will you do if someone attacks you?'

' You are here for that' Jungkook replied....'To protect me'

'I-what will you do if I am not here?'

' Are you planning to leave me Kim?' Jungkook completely turned towards him ' Thought you were different'

' That's not important now' Taehyung shook his head controlling his anger 'You can't step back just because you trust me-'

' No no wait' Jungkook chuckled in disbelief 'Trust? That also on you? Who told you such non sense?'

' What?'

' I absolutely detest you and you think I trust you? No Kim...If anything I trust my cruel fate which will make sure that am alive to see how much more of a hell my life can be'

' Why are you being an idiot and punishing yourself... don't act like you know everything-'

' I do know everything and no! I don't need the advice of someone whose father was one the people who destroyed my life!'

' What?' Taehyung frowned..his heart beats picking up

' Your father was my appa's most trusted guard who was there when my eomma was taken away from me..he was one of those guards who sided with Jongwook and killed my maid and guard..he was the one who threw me into this pit of darkness and I assigned you here so that I can make your life a living hell!' Jungkook spat as he glared at a silently crying Taehyung ' I'll destroy the whole world if it means I could get to see you perish in agony!'

A sob left Taehyung's mouth ' Just because my father was someone cruel doesn't mean I would be the one to be punished.... You know what your royal highness...you are an absolute monster who never thinks before speaking'

Jungkook scoffed turning away..ready to lock himself in his chamber when

' Oneday when the whole Astraxus will burn in the sins of its ruler... I'll make sure you will be one to ebb away....' Taehyung voice dripped venom as he continued 'And I'll happily destroy myself if it means I'll get to see your destruction!'

' How could you talk to him like that Taehyung!'

' Then what do expect me to do? Worship him?' Taehyung spat

' He didn't mean any of what he told' Jin sighed 'He is a kind soul Taehyung ah..he is just-'

' Broken' Taehyung completed him ' I have heard that a million times hyung and am fed up by that...I can't stay here anymo-'

' Jongwook will kill you the moment you step out of here and Jungkook knows that' Jin revealed

' Me?'

' Appa...was King JaeHoon's most trusted guard...and it's true that Jongwook asked him to take Queen Haein away but he refused.... Appa accepted death than betraying his King and Queen' Jin explained ' You were just a kid of seven and Appa managed to run away with us both... Appa adored Jungkook and he had promised the late King to do everything to make sure Jungkook is safe... and Years later I came back to keep that promise of him..knowing well that Jongwook won't recognize me..but...you Tae... you are different'

Taehyung listened with wide Bambi eyes as Jin continued

'  The whole Astraxians have black hair except two people...one Jungkook...and second you... I didn't have the heart to leave you alone for a long time..I needed you somewhere near me in front of my eyes and Jungkook knew about all this from me and that's why he agreed to have you here in this castle.... I don't know why he said all that to you Tae...but he didn't mean any of it.... No matter who you are...I know how skilled you are and that no one can protect Jungkook more than you....so it was a win win situation..and knowing Jongwook well I was sure that he won't keep a foot in here..so in short you both were safe behind these palace walls.... It's our responsibility to keep appa's promise Tae...You are now a warrior and we warriors keeps our responsibilities and promises above everything...even above life and love'

Taehyung swallowed the lump in his throat as he looked at Jin ' I-is it true that Jongwook has already started making plans to kill the prince?'

Jin's eyes saddened as he nodded ' Jungkook's powers are to be unleashed when he turns 23.. which he did the day you came here.... Jongwook knows that Kook has no idea about his powers nor have any control over them and he will for sure take advantage of the situation...We have to be more alert or else we will loose the prince'

Taehyung's heart dropped...a tear falling down his eyes as he took a step back... Jungkook's words ringing in his mind again and again as he ran inside... Jin's calls falling deaf to his ears...all he could hear was the defeated voice of the prince

The countdown for my last days might have already been started by the king...bear me for a little bit more

Jungkook was leaning on the wall looking out of his window... lost in thoughts when the door to his chamber banged opened revealing a heavily panting Taehyung

' Kim Taehyung!' Jungkook sighed ' Were you planning to kill me by scaring me-'

' I won't let anything happen to you' Taehyung breathed out and saw the puzzled look on the Prince 'Jin hyung told me everything...told me why you accepted to keep me here-'

' I don't know what you are talking about' Jungkook turned around..his back facing Taehyung

' I know you don't trust anyone who works for the royals....but' Taehyung took in a deep breath ' I will never let anything happen to you...I will always be loyal to you...I won't leave your side and go behind power nor wealth'

' Taehyung.. you should just go-'

' Kim Taehyung will always be Jeon Jungkook's'

The noise made by the boots echoed through the corridor with his each step...the diamonds on the silk robe shining effortlessly...his snow white locks bouncing ever so softly and his emerald eyes lost in deep thoughts as he pushed open the door... getting in... only to lock it behind him....again

Jungkook eyed the numerous canvases stacked up at one side of the chamber...he walked towards them...his mind in a frenzy swirl as he picked an empty canvas fixing it upon the stand....a pallet full of vibrant colors set beside it.... It was as if Jungkook was moving in some daze....a certain image has been stuck in his head for days now and no matter how many times he tried to forget it...the more it became etched in his memory...so finally he decided to get that image onto his canvas hoping to forget all about it once he finished

Minutes turned into hours and hours lead to midnight and still Jungkook was working on his painting.... He stretched his arms driving away the tiredness creeping up his bones when he heard a loud thud from outside...

What is he upto now? Jungkook thought standing up... looking back at the portrait one more time before walking out..but before making sure that he has locked the door

Jungkook looked around the castle for his guard who was nowhere to be found...he looked in the garden only to find it empty too

Ofcourse he won't come here after I warned him Jungkook thought to himself before walking back in....

May be he is training Jungkook was sure to find Taehyung here but to his dismay even the courtyard was empty... He was about to walk away when he felt something move behind him making him turn around swiftly

' Taehyung?' He called out.. not being able to see anyone...and the fact that the dancing flames of the torches and the moonlight were the only light guiding him was not helping at all

Jungkook moved forward slowly...a strange feeling settling in him as the seconds passed.. ' If this is some stupid prank of your's Taehyung then I swear-'

Jungkook's whole being froze when four men jumped out from the darkness... surrounding him..with sharp shining swords in their arms

' Who are you?' Jungkook swallowed.. trying to sound brave but only he knew how badly his whole body was shaking in fear 'What do you all want'

' Look at him acting all brave' One of the men commented... the rest of them laughing and even before Jungkook could process any of these..one of the men lunged forward... with his sword held out

Something in Jungkook snapped at that as he dodged the attack...He quickly picked one of the swords that were hung over the wall behind him.. ready to attack when another man lurched towards him.... Jungkook's grip over the sword loosening with each attack as he steped more and more backwards

I should have just trained while Taehyung told me-wait! Tae? Where is he? Is he fine- Jungkook was so into his thoughts that he didn't pay attention to the strikes coming against him.. causing him to stumble into a piller...the sword swatted out of his hand with a wide deep cut on his biceps from where oozed out thick red blood

' Who sent you?' Jungkook asked...his arm aching as he held his uninjured hand out...his eyes gleaming and fingertips glowing in a greenish hue

A victorious glint flashed through Jungkook's eyes when he saw them cowering at the sight of it.. but that didn't last long as the four of them attacked together.... Jungkook used his whole focus to pin down two of the men using just his powers while he somehow kept on dodging the attacks of the other two...

Jungkook knew he wasn't strong in anyway.... neither did he know any swordskills nor does he have any control over his powers and that was proven to be true when the sword dug deep into his leg.. making him cry out in pain and drop to the ground...along with loosing his existing control over his powers resulting in the men getting back to their feet...

Jungkook groaned in pain as he tried to get up...his body growing weak...he raised his arm again... focusing his whole power onto that before sending a globe of fire which instead of stopping the men..hit the walls setting the curtains on fire....

Jungkook wanted to slap himself for being an asshole all this while instead of listening to any of his hyungs... With defeated eyes he looked at the men who now had an evil smile as they approached the prince who was ready to accept his death when arrows came piercing out of their chest from behind making the four of them fall on their knees...and behind them stood Taehyung

Jungkook felt relief washing over him at the sight of Taehyung who rushed to his side... cupping his cheeks

'Are you all alright? Am so sorry I came late' Taehyung rambled ' There were more men... I had to get rid of them all before coming here'

As Taehyung's rambling continued all Jungkook could see was the panic and concern filled chocolates orbs staring down at him...with a deep frown etched on his pretty face...a deep cut on his forehead...Jungkook felt his own cheeks burn where Taehyung was holding him...

'Taehyung' Jungkook whispered and saw the other's voice die down

' Prince...we need to call for help... wait for me here I'll go call someone-' Taehyung abruptly stopped...his eyes filling with tears as his hands slipped down from Jungkook's cheeks to his chest... fingers curling over the silk shirt as his knees buckled

Jungkook's soul left his body when blood oozed out of Taehyung's mouth...his body jerking as he fell into Jungkook's arms and that's when he saw one of the men standing behind Taehyung with a bloodied sword in his hand and dirty smirk on his face.... Jungkook's senses shut down as anger and fear took over.. blinding him as he raised his hand..his whole aura turning dark... An evil smile crept over Jungkook's features when he saw the smirk faltering and fear creeping over the man's features as he held Taehyung closer to his chest... holding out his palm out open

A loud scream echoed through the castle as fire enveloped the man completely...his whole body burning up as the flames engulfed him and Jungkook stood there watching him with a satisfied smile...

' Jungkook!!'

'I just hope they haven't killed each other yet' Jin commented with an eye roll

'Am not saying this because he is my brother...but' Namjoon started seriously 'Jungkook is actually pretty annoying when he is stubborn'

Yoongi and Jin broke out into a fit of laughter at that.... The three of them were on their way to meet Jungkook and Tae at the castle

' You are the one who spoiled him this much Kim Namjoon!' Yoongi snickered

' He is my brother...he should get what he want...and if he needs to act all bratty then he is allowed that too' Namjoon shrugged

' Moving on' Yoongi shook his head' I must say Jin hyung.. Taehyung is really good kid...he is so genuine about what he does... and must say...he is too pretty to be real'

' Yeah.. just like his hyung' Namjoon froze..his eyes widening a bit realizing what he just said...

He turned towards Yoongi who was looking at him with a raised brow and Jin who looked mortified

' Your highness' Yoongi called with a teasing smile

' I mean that Jin hyung is also very genuine in what he does...' Namjoon quickly corrected.. nodding to himself ' I-'

' Is that smoke?' Jin's alarmed voice caught both Yoongi and Namjoon's attention both of them looking at the direction Jin was pointing to only to see smoke coming out

' What's happening in there?' Yoongi asked as all of them rushed to the castle only to have their heart stop at the sight of a heavily bleeding Taehyung in Jungkook's arms who was glaring at the burning body of someone while the curtains behind him set ablaze

' Jungkook!'

The loud voice of Jin seemed to pull Jungkook out of whatever state he was in into reality.....His legs giving up as he fell on to the ground with Taehyung in his arms...both of them covered in blood...

Namjoon ran forward pulling the curtains down while Yoongi brought some water...both of them somehow managing to stop the fire

' Hey... Taehyung' Jungkook called out panicked as the other laid lifeless in his arms

' What happened in here?'Jin cried out running towards them...' Taehyung ah'

' Who are they?' Namjoon questioned..but everything fell deaf to the prince's ears....

' Tae' Jungkook patted his cheeks ' O-open your eyes please'

' He is bleeding a lot' Jungkook heard Jin say...' Namjoon ah... please go call the healers...quick'

' Jungkook can you answer me?' Yoongi tried again but the prince just sat their holding Taehyung's body that was slowly turning cold..

Jin pulled out some cloth holding it over Taehyung's wounds... trying to do anything that he knows to stop the bleeding

' Jungkook ah...' Jin held onto him ' W-who...Talk to hyung.... Taehyung wake up'

Yoongi's heart broke at the sight in front of him...he looked back at the burnt body of god knows who and some dead men around it...he was about to try asking Jungkook again when

' Joon?' Yoongi frowned seeing the elder prince walking in defeatedly ' Why...are you alone?'

Jin raised his head at that looking at the prince
' Where is the healer Namjoon?'

' Everyone refused to come' Namjoon breathed out

' What?'

' No one is willing to come to the castel...n-nor is anyone ready to heal the one harmed in the presence of Jungkook' Namjoon's voice trembled

' What the hell are you talking about?' Jin yelled 'Why? Even Kook is hurt-why are you even asking for the permission!! You are the prince and you can simply order them to come!'.

' I can't do anything when it come to the Cursed Prince of Astraxus!' Namjoon yelled back..the whole castle falling silent ' The healers were willing to be exiled rather than treat someone harmed in the presence of the cursed Prince....'

A sob slipped past Jin's lips as he clasped his hand over his mouth...

' L-let's try once again Namjoon ah' Yoongi spoke up ' I'll beg them to come...we can-'

' What are you doing?' Jin's desperate call grabbed both Joon and Yoongi's attention...both of them turning around only to see Jungkook standing up with Taehyung in his arms

But Jungkook paid no heed as he walked towards Taehyung's chamber.... blood dripping on the floor as the rest of them followed him

Jungkook laid Taehyung on the bed...the white sheets turning crimson in a seconds as Jungkook managed to kneel down beside the bed.... He closed his eyes... bring his hand up.. resting his two fingers over Taehyung's forehead..while his other hand rested against his own chest.... Suddenly a green glow emerged all over Jungkook's frame...sparkling glitters shimmering over him...

Jin's eyes widened when he saw deep silver patterns forming over Taehyung's neck and arms as the wound over his chest closed...the skin healing as if he never was harmed....

Taehyung gasped drawing in a deep breath.. breaking down into loud coughs the moment Jungkook removed his hands...

He jolted up in place... turning towards Jungkook..eyes wide in horror

' Are you alright?' Taehyung held onto his hand ' Why are you on the ground..your leg is injured-' And that's when Taehyung remembered it....the unbearable pain he felt when the sword pierced in through his back and out of his chest... He brought his shaky hands up... touching his chest where there should have been the wound...he should have been dead by now.. then how-

'Am alive?' He asked looks up at Jungkook who looked as if he saw some ghost...' What's wrong with you?'

' Taehyung ah' Namjoon finally called ' Y-you look different'

' What?' Taehyung frowned... before getting down the bed and walking towards the mirror..his own eyes widened when he saw the dark silver strands in between his blue locks and the deep grey orbs that replaced his chocolatey ones

' What happened to me?'

Instead of answering Jin just closed the distance pulling the younger into his arms 'Hyung is just happy to get you back baby...I thought I lost you'

Taehyung pulled back..still not completely understanding everything ' Hyung?'

' I was wrong...I shouldn't have brought you here...' Jin saw Jungkook whipping his head towards him the moment he said that ' Let's take you back...you don't belong here-'

' Hyung relax' Taehyung stepped back ' What's wrong with you...am fine'

' You almost died Taehyung!'

' But I didn't...see...I am alive'

' I don't care..Am taking you back-'

' I am not going anywhere' Taehyung shook his head 'I promised to stay here and protect the prince'

' But-'

' For us warriors our responsibilities are above everything...even above life and love' Taehyung's voice deepened as he proclaimed

' I am Prince Jungkook's..and am not leaving him here...not after what I saw today!'

' So in short...you ended up using your magic to bring me back to life?' Taehyung asked as Jungkook silently nodded

The elders had left after much persuasion from Taehyung who refused to leave the castle no matter what...Even though Jin... still a bit adamant... obliged somehow after Namjoon talked to him... And after that Taehyung asked Jungkook to explain what ever that happened

' Oh..' Taehyung was taken a back ' I didn't expect you to do that'

' Why?' Now Jungkook looked offended

' Because you told that you'd happily destroy the whole world if you could see me die' Taehyung reasoned out

' Woahh.. Don't play the victim! Even you said that you'd gladly destroy yourself rather than see me live...and then look at you getting killed in an attempt to protect me' Jungkook ranted...a big pout on his lips

' That was before I knew everything....' Taehyung argued ' After that I told you that'd I'd never let anything happen to you'

' Then I also told all that before knowing-' Jungkook stopped..his cheeks heating up

' Knowing what?'

' Knowing...you'

' Me?' Taehyung blinked ' What do you mean?'

' Kim Taehyung ' Jungkook inhaled deeply ' I am ready to start the training...and I apologize for being a brat all this while'

A small smile bloomed on Taehyung's lips hearing that...' Look at you being so adorable'

' Don't make me regret bringing you back to life' Jungkook scoffed making Taehyung laugh

' Am sorry my prince' Taehyung bowed dramatically 'But before that...you need to heal yourself...oh-why don't you use your magic on yourself..'

' I can't' Jungkook smiled sheepishness ' I can't use my magic on myself... also Healing powers can be used only once in a lifetime'

' And you used that for me?' Taehyung frowned 'You shouldn't have done that for someone like me...what if someday someone important to you might need it... Am not worth-'

' Somethings are worth more important that people think..' Jungkook cut him off ' And I'd use my magic a million times if it's to save you'

' Oh' Taehyung's heart flipped..heat creeping up his cheeks as he stared at the prince

' Kim Taehyung' Jungkook smiled 'You should go rest now... it's too late already'

' Yeah' Taehyung nodded standing up..still feeling all fluttery' Goodnight'

Taehyung almost reached the door when Jungkook called him again..making him roll his eyes playfully and turn around... ready to hear some bratty reply as always when Jungkook spoke

' I trust you Bambi'
