Chapter 21
~I felt the need to add this. ^~
(Y/n)'s pov*
I could still see everything the enchantress could see. She was in some room of the house practicing spells. Some of them simple and some of them evil and devious. Torture spells, love spells, killing spells, tricks, and a harmless plant spell. She turns pages after pages of spell books. She flip a page back and gazed at the lettering on the page. It was a spell to rid of another spirit inside you. "And this is how I'll get you out." She said. "I know you can hear and see me (y/n)."
She turned to a full length mirror behind her and looked into her... our eyes. "Once I learn this spell, you'll be gone."
With all the strength I had, I imagined myself resurfacing to my own mind and moving myself. I could hear the enchantress struggle. "Stop!" She screamed.
I ignored her and continued.
"Stop or I'll kill that precious little pet of yours!"
I stopped and saw her evily and insanely laughed at the mirror. She rushed to it and looked very closely at my face. "Get ready for this one."
She ran back to her table and started mixing ingredients. Not long after she fan with the bowl back to the mirror and looked in our eyes. "Goodnight." She grinned like an insane person and drank what was in the bowl.
I started losing vision again. My head felt dizzy and my entire world went black. When I opened my eyes again I found myself at camp. I was at the docks. I could move again. I stood up quickly and darted to my cabin. I bolted in and looked around frantically. "Percy?" I called.
I spotted him not even five feet away from me. I smiled widely and ran to hug him. He only frowned and stepped away.
I stopped and looked confused at him. "Percy, it's me. Your sister. Remember?"
"Of course I do. Why are you here?" He asked coldly.
"I-uh-i don't know."
"Get out." He whispered.
"What?! Why?"
"I said get out!" He yelled furiously.
I backed away to the door and ran out. Annabeth was just coming in. "Ugh it's you." She gave me a disgusted look.
I ran to the next cabin I could think of. Someone who would never hate me.
"Leo!" I called.
His head popped out from behind some machine he was working on. He had a hopeful look on his face. It went away when he looked at me. "Oh. What is it now (y/n)?" He sounded bored.
"You sound... annoyed."
He gave me a 'duh' look and went back to his machine.
"Why?"
"You know why. Now get out." He mumbled.
"Not until you tell me." I stood my ground.
Leo stopped. He put down his tools without looking and hopped over what he was working on to stand in front of me. He glared at me with a look I had never seen on his face before. "Get out."
"I want to know what it is I did." I kept my head up and my face straight and determined.
"Why don't you go ask someone else? I don't want to deal with you today. Or ever. Just get out and leave me alone." He hissed.
I backed away from him and turned away. I walked out of his cabin and looked around. People passing by looked at me weirdly. They seemed upset when they saw me. I ignored it the best I could and hung my head while I walked. I looked up to see if I could find someone to talk to. Camper after camper just glared and passed me. I scanned a crowd to find someone I knew well. I saw Jason and Piper talking and laughing with each other. I shuffled me way to them through the crowd of people. "Piper! Jason!" I called.
They looked at me and their smiles fell. "What (y/n)?" Jason asked.
"I don't know what I did wrong. Leo and Percy are both mad at me and I don't know why. When I tried asking they just sent me away. Please help me. At least tell me why they're upset with me."
"(Y/n) I think you know exactly why. Stop playing around." Jason growled.
"No. I don't! I don't know."
"YOU KILLED HIM!" Jason yelled in my face.
My eyes widened in shock. I stumbled back. "I've never killed anyone. Who are you talking about?"
"Nico!" Jason had tears in his eyes. "You chose your own life over his! You're the reason he died! You selfish little-"
"Jason stop." Piper cut in. "It's not worth it."
She grabbed his hand and led him away. He turned his head around to you. "I hate you!"
I watched him walk away. They all hate me for what I did. What did I do though? I can't remember. I can't remember why I can't remember. Something wasn't right. Nico wasn't dead. I had a feeling that he wasn't dead at least. When did I get here?
My thoughts were cut off by a person bumping into me. I turned to see Hazel. She was about to apologize with a smile before she saw me. Her smile turned to a frown and her eyes turned cold. "You! I hate you! We all hate you. Even Percy hates you. Do us a favor and just leave. Never come back. Die for all I care!"
It was fake. I know it is. No matter what I do or say, Percy would never hate me. Not even if I took his blue cookies. I ran back to my cabin where Percy was and I forced him to face me. "Do you hate me?"
"Wha-"
"Do you hate me for what I did?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"You were selfish and arrogant. All you do is bother everyone else with your problems. Did you even think twice or even once about Nico when you chose your own life over his?" He said coldly. "He didn't deserve such a backstabbing, heartless, annoying, and rude girl like you."
It hurt to hear these words come from him, but I felt like I had to.
"Everything i say is right, so yes, I do hate you. I hate you with a firey burning passion. And I'm sure that I am."
"No, you aren't." I said calmly.
"Yes i-"
"No, you aren't. Nothing you have said is right. I am nothing like that. I don't care how many people say it, I didn't kill Nico." This was my fear. My second worst fear. I'm afraid of being hated by everyone.
~Sorry, these fears are based off of my fears. If they aren't your fears then just pretend they're something else.~
"I don't need you or anyone to tell me what I am. I know what I am and it's none of that. As long as I know what I am then that's all that matters."
The cabin started crumbling away. The sky, Percy, and ground went with it. All that was left was dark black nothing. Then I saw a little bit of light ahead of me. It got bigger and I saw a wall that was dimly lit by a candle. Behind that candle was Nico. He was chained by his ankles to the ground.
"Oh just in time! I think your girlfriends back." The enchantresses voice rang through the room.
Nico looked into my eyes and backed away. "So, (y/n), I've just decided that while you were away I would get rid of a little problem of ours."
She looked down at our hands and I saw her holding a knife. She twirled it in her fingers and looked back to Nico. She inched twords him and jabbed the knife out. She was only half way to his heart when I stopped her. I moved my hand back and made us drop the knife. She growled and picked up the knife with her other hand. I used all the strength I had and gained control of myself for only a split second. In that second, I backed away from Nico. The enchantress came back and stepped back to him.
Every now and then, I would have control. I would make a small noise to let Nico know it was me in control. Whether it was a cry, scream, or a small word. I would make her move away or kick the knife. I could tell that I wouldn't be able to keep doing this. I lost it. She gained full control and picked up the knife. She walked over to Nico who was helplessly watching.
"(Y/n). (Y/n), listen to me. I know you're there. You can do this. You can control yourself."
I couldn't.
"Please."
She took the knife and dug it into his heart. His eyes filled with an empty look and his body went limp. The enchantress let me gain control. The knife, however, was still in my hand and his chest.
I screamed and jerked it out then threw it to the side. Nico fell to the ground. I fell to his side and layed his head on my lap. He stared up with a pained expression. "Nico? Nico? Hey, don't die on me. Ok? Please don't die. I'll get you help and we'll get out of here."
He shook his head. "You can't get out. She won't let you. Just let me die."
I shook my head. Tears fell from my eyes, down my cheeks, and onto his face. I wiped them away. "Don't die. Please."
His entire body stopped moving. His eyes fell onto one spot and only one. I couldn't hear him breathing.
"No no no no no no. You're not supposed to die today. You're supposed to have an amazing life. You're supposed to experience the world. You can't die now. Please come back, I need you."
My last tear slipped down my cheek when the enchantress came back. "Well that was fun." She said like it was nothing. She got up and left Nico's dead body in the dark basement.
Nico's pov*
~Before you came out of your fear.~
I sat with Annabelle for awhile. She slept and I watched the candle in front of me with my legs crossed. The light flickered and the trap door above my head opened. The enchantress came down and stood in front of me. "Let's chat."
"Won't (y/n) hear everything you say?"
"Nope!" She skipped around the room and landed on front of me. "She's in her second worst fear at the moment. So she's a little busy."
"What do you want?" I hissed.
"I have a plan that will kill your poor sweet (y/n)."
"Don't you touch-"
"OH I'm not gonna touch her at all. She will be fine. Physically." She grinned like the Cheshire cat.
"However, she may be emotionally scared for the rest of her short life"
"How?"
"Well, I'm going to make you seem as though you're not here and I'll make a fake version of you, then I'll kill that version of you." She had the same grin plastered on her face.
"You're sick."
"I know." She giggled and cast some spell on me. I couldn't speak or move. She skipped to another corner on the room and started some spell. Soon another me appeared. I watched the enchantress talk to fake me and (y/n).
She pulled out a knife and tried to stab fake me. She suddenly stopped and dropped it. She picked it up, but the same thing happened. I could tell (y/n) was trying to help me. I could see her in her eyes. She would get this pained yet strong look in her eyes, then they would go cold. They would switch between the two. When she was (y/n), she gave out some kind of cry or word. The enchantress just laughed like a maniac.
I watched her eyes go cold. She picked up the knife and stabbed me. Her eyes turned back to a soft look. She screamed and pulled the knife away and threw it. She layed my head on her lap and cried. It made me break inside to see her go through this. Her eyes went back to that insane and devious glare and she got up. "Well that was fun."
Before she closed the door, she let me go. I stumbled for the candle and relit it once again. Happiness came out from behind me and sat down. "She thinks I'm dead now."
Annabelle just nodded sadly.
"She'll still keep fighting though. She has Percy to fight for."
"And her revenge on the enchantress for 'killing' you."
I shook my head. "I wasn't that important to her anyway. I was just one of those people who comes and goes in someone's life."
"No! She loved- loves you. She'll fight for you. I know it!"
"I don't think so..." I stared at the candle again. Annabelle glared at me. "This is why you need me. You're always on gloomy."
"So?"
"Happiness is a necessity in life. Even if it's just a small bit of it. Try to think of the things that could go right in this situation rather than what could go wrong." Her little voice squeaked.
"I don't know what could go right."
Annabelle sighed. "You'll see one day."
"See what one day?"
"The bright side of everything."
~(Birthday update! Woop woop!!)
That was long. I can now say that this chapter was longer than chapter 7 of Pride and Prejudice. I got bored and counted every word. It was a long day.
So I'm going to be updating again very soon and that'll make this three, maybe four, updates in just one week. It's a miracle. I've had alot of extra time on my hands, so this is what I've been doing with it. I hoped that you like this chapter. I personally am not a fan of some of the things I've done, because I think they're stupid, but they're here forever now and there's nothing I can do about that... well there is, I'm just too lazy to change it.
Well, I hope you have a great day or night, ily!♡~
