You were going to do it.
You opened the messaging app with a shaky finger.
You took a deep breath and began typing
"hey this might ruin our friendship, but i really like you and i think you're really cute."
You hesitated, but pressed send. You let out a scream as 3 dots popped up.
Your breathing started getting quicker.
"you're fine too"
A smile spread across your face.
"ha thanks ;)" You replied with a relief.

You've been talking to Nico in a friend way for quite some time. He always called you cute or complimented you making you feel special. And of course, you fell for it. The feelings you had for Nico grew out of control. You knew it'd end up biting you in the ass but you didn't care and tried to push it aside.

A few weeks went by since you told Nico your feelings for him. You did notice some slight changes in his behavior. Some days he'd act like a complete stranger towards you and other days he would act completely in love with you. You tried to ignore it but you couldn't, it frustrated you. You were sure he was just playing you like a fiddle now. You tried to push those feelings away but you really liked him, some could even say loved.

You entered your only class with Nico smiling.
The two of you usually sat together and passed notes most of the hour. Today, Nico was sitting towards the back with all his guy friends. The smile on your face disappeared in a flash. You quickly sat with your friend Piper and flashed her a weak smile.
"Hey Piper, how's it going?"
"Why don't you tell me?" Piper said with concern in her voice.
"I'm sorry, what?" You said with anxiety building up.
"Why aren't you two sitting together?" Piper whispered.
"I-uh-I d-don't wanna talk about it" You said biting your lip.
"Tell me!" Piper said using her charmspeak powers.
You slowly got up realizing what she was doing and started walking towards the door.
"y/n please sit down." Mr.Halpert said annoyed.
You being you, ignored him and walked out.
Piper turned to look at Nico, who was staring blankly at the door and his usual seat.

You were sitting in a booth at your favorite diner sipping a milkshake. Maybe he was just joking. Maybe he thought I was just joking.
So many different thoughts ran through your head as you sipped your milkshake.

Meanwhile Nico sat in class debating if he should go after you or not. He decided to stay and that you needed some alone time.
After the class, he  started looking for you.
"hey where'd you go?" Nico typed as he walked out of the school.
"don't worry about it." you replied.
Nico stared at the screen in frustration. He dialed your number.
"Can I help you?" You said annoyed.
"Where are you?" Nico said walking towards one of your favorite places to stress eat.
"Looking for someone who's gonna treat me right." You said coldly.
"y/n what are you talking about?"
"Just forget it okay?" You hung up and sighed.

The door's bell rang as Nico stepped into the diner.
You rolled your eyes and quickly got up to leave.
Nico basically ran to you and pulled you into a hug.
You pushed him off, all that confusion and anger building up.
"What's wrong?" Nico said with worry.
You ignored his question and tried to walk past him.
"Hey! y/n I'm talking to you, please."
"Do you even care about me Nico? Do I make you happy? Do I pop into your mind everyday? Does my smile bring butterflies to your stomach? Do you feel the same way I feel towards you? Cause I really want something special with you and I might sound crazy but you always throw off different vibes. One day you like me back, the next you ignore me and can't even say hello or anything. Quit playing with my feelings or so help me Ni-"
Nico pulled you into a kiss.
The two of you pulled away. You looked up at him confused.
"So is that a yes?"
Nico smiled and nodded. "Of course."
