"Get out!" You heard the front door slam. You sat down on the couch with many holes inside your broken home. You heard someone coming down the stairs and you quickly wiped your tears. 

"Hey Leo what's up?" You said smiling. "You tell me (y/n)." "Everything is fine." "What did he do to you?" "No-nothing. I just got a little pissed off." "You don't have to pretend everything's okay. I'm here for you and I'll always will be. If he hurts you, I get to hurt him." "Leo please calm down. He was just in one of his moods and I was in one of mine." "Hmm." Leo walked back up the stairs and you sighed.

You were currently living in a house with a few other demigods. You thought leaving camp would be a great way to start over. Turns out the real world is harder than you thought. Nico was the one holding you together. That was until he started acting different. 

You laid down on your bare mattress thinking to yourself.  "Why am I never enough?" You sobbed. Nico acting different was definitely your fault, at least that's what you told yourself. Your phone rang and you basically ran to it. "He-hello?" "I'm sorry." "Please, don't be sorry. You did nothing wrong." "I love you." "I love you too Nico." "See you tomorrow? Same time?" "Sure." "Goodnight love." "Goodnight Nico." You sighed in relief. "Everything's okay" You told yourself. 

But of course, everything was not okay. Nico came to pick you up at 3. You dressed casually. 

"Hey love." "Hi neeks." "Let's go get a bite to eat?" "Why not?" You smiled. 

Nico drove to McDonald's. 

"I'll get two happy meals." "They'll be ready in a few." "Thanks." 

Nico grabbed your hand and lead you to a table. A blonde,tall, tan girl came up to you and Nico. "Oh Nico! Last night was great, are we on again tonight?" Your face turned bright red. You slowly stood up and flipped Nico off. "You're such an asshole." You walked out and called Leo. "Hey, can y-you come pick me up? Nico h-he cheated." "I-I'll be there in a minute, where are you?" "McDonald's."  

You hung up and wiped a tear. Nico came outside, happy meals in his hands. "(y/n) Nothing happened last night. I-I don't even know her!" You looked at Nico for a long time. "You're pathetic." Leo's red and gold truck parked in front of you and out came a mad Leo. He swung at Nico. Nico stepped back. "I didn't do anything!" "She's like my sister you fucktard. I can't believe you hurt her." Leo swing again and hit him. "Come on Leo, it's not worth it." "If he's not worth it why do you cry over him?" You stepped inside the truck quietly thinking about that question while Leo yelled at Nico. "I'll see you in hell!" 

"Was that really necessary?" "You are like a sister to me. I hate seeing you cry and worry because of an idiot like Nico. You deserve the world (y/n). Don't be with someone like that just because you think you're "happy"." "H-he.." You tried to think of something to defend Nico. "He's kind, he is. He's just not himself right now." "Quit defending someone who won't defend you." The ride home was full of silence. You held your tears back.

"Thank you Leo. I-I've never met anyone who's cared for me so much." You sobbed and Leo hugged you. "I'm always gonna be here (y/n)."
