You stared at him from across the room.
Your eyes met his and you immediately turned around blushing.
You were in love with the one and only Nico.
Being around him made you feel like different, like a better version of yourself. You felt powerful and confident yet you never had the guts to talk to him.
"Y/n I'm going to need you to focus on me boo." You're best friend Leo said. "This project means a lot to me so please, find another time to gush about Nico."
"Quit talking so loud" You hissed.
"You mean quit talking about Nico?" Leo said even louder with a smirk on his face.
You scoffed.
Nico turned around when he heard his name and mugged Leo. "If you wanna say anything to me come up to my face instead of gossiping like a girl"
"Assuming much?" Leo said with an attitude.
You nodded.
The bell rang and the room emptied quickly. You say there staring at the wall.
Dammit, he really is an asshole.

In the hallway, everyone crowded around Leo's locker. You pushed your way through  and saw Nico pushing Leo around.
"Hey, dickhead get off of him!" You yelled trying to pull Nico off.
Nico decided that was the best moment to swing at Leo, he ended up hitting both of you. You winched as Nico's fist met Leo's face, and you realized too late that his elbow was coming straight at you.
You fell back and were caught by the gasping crowd.
You touched your nose and felt the blood pouring out.
Nico looked back at you and immediately made a run for it.
Leo was  face down on the shiny hallway floor.
You helped Leo up and shook him a bit.
"Hey Leo, I'm going to need you to wake up." Someone poured water on his face and Leo flinched.
"I-I'm okay" He scoffed and got up. The crowd soon disappeared, but they're quiet whispering didn't.
"He's an asshole. Why do you always fall for assholes?"
You gulped and felt the tears coming.
"I'm sorry."
"No, please don't cry. I hate it when you cry." Leo immediately responded.
He hugged you and you sobbed in his arms.
"I'm so sorry." You said in between sobs.
He lead you out the stupid building.
"Come on (y/n) let's go watch Riverdale." He said putting his arm around you in a protective way.
"My nose is still running"
