"Happy birthday, Percy." Nico spoke as Percy was waking up, smiling and all. Percy wasn't much for letting others know his birthday, but he decided to make his crush an exception.

They're at Percy's home, with Paul and Sally. Nico and Sally made a cake, and Nico is waking Percy up with the best surprise of all: blue food.

He held it gently so Percy could see, then set it on the desk as Percy sat up, stretched and yawned.

"Baby... you didn't have to," he said sleepily, smiling at Nico.

Nico shrugged, "I know, but you're cute." He kissed Percy's lips briefly. "Now enjoy, your mom and I are going to go get the living room ready."

"Ready for what?" Percy asked.

Nico winked, "A date."

When Percy finally came out to the living room, blue frosting on his cheek, he looked around and his heart just filled with warmth. It was just Nico, lighting some candles with his back to Percy - his mom was nowhere in sight. The coffee table was moved to the back of the room, a blanket on the floor with a picnic basket replacing it. The TV was set to Percy's all-time favorite movie, "Journey to the Center of the Earth." There were blue balloons on the floor ceiling and a big sign that said, "Love you, baby! Happy birthday!" and a slightly bigger sign that said, "Happy birthday to the best son in the world!" that were by the kitchen.

When Nico turned around, Percy seemed to only notice him. "You're the best boyfriend ever," he said softly and matter-of-factly.

Nico blushed, "Get over here and give me a morning kiss then."
