Blood is also the color of roses (Major trigger warning)

Blood is the color of roses.
Red, like the lips of his lover.
Delicate and clean like the petals on the stem.
Fresh like from under the rain.
Yet why does it hurt and roses are pleasant?

Blood is also the color of roses is an old book I wrote. I basically put all my angst into it. For those who don't know, it was a very triggering work. I wrote it as a teenager who was experiencing abuse, and untreated mental illness like depression, anxiety and potentially ptsd/cptsd. Additionally, I have a close relative with severe Schizophrenia and as a psychology nerd I dove into research about the illness, so that's why it's incorporated - I, myself, do not experience that specific illness OR psychosis specifically. So, it was very gorey, very raw, and very dark. In order to cope with my struggles, I wrote this book. I ended up unpublishing it because of how detrimental it could be for others to read, or for me to keep writing once I was getting better. But, I've decided to pick a few of the 52 chapters to republish here. I'll be posting them here in a few chapters as compilation chapters. Please enjoy, BUT please do NOT do anything that the character/s in the books do, and REACH OUT TO RESOURCES if you're in crisis. READ AT OWN RISK and please DO NOT READ IF YOU MAY BE POTENTIALLY TRIGGERED. It is NOT for younger audiences. Thank you.
