💔Trying to make it up to you because I love you💔
I still can't accept what happened in III ep 13 so I'm gonna write them tryna make up because grrrrr. They're objects and it takes place a few days after episode 13.
Nickel had felt very bad ever since Balloon broke their friendship. He didn't know why and how Balloon was so upset about it, he was just trying to make the others comfortable so he wouldn't have a higher chance to be eliminated. And to make the others somewhat more comfortable.
He didn't even know why he himself was so sad that Balloon left. He used to hate Balloon, and now he wished they'd just stayed friends and that he hadn't said those things. Hell, he could've defended Balloon, but he didn't. He didn't defend his second best friend, who now wasn't his friend anymore.
Now that he thought about it, Balloon made him have such weird feelings in general. They were friends, sure, but he always felt a weird sensation around him. He felt the need to protect him be there for him, maybe even... love him? He felt his cheeks heat up. It would be nice, right? Being in a relationship with Balloon, falling asleep in his warm embrace, pressing against his body while falling asleep peacefully, wouldn't that be nice?
But then he remembered again; Balloon didn't want to speak to him. He thought it was all that stupid luck that got them so close together, but Nickel knew it was more than that. Balloon had changed not just himself, but also him. He had made Nickel softer, which didn't make Nickel so happy at first, but now he wished he could be like that forever. Being soft and wholesome instead of a sarcastic asshole like he was in season 2.
Nickel sighed, readjusting himself on the sand, where he sat while looking at the sea. It was evening and the sun was setting. It was a beautiful sight. If only Balloon was with him to watch it.
Ugh! Why was he so pathetically sad about this?! He needed to make it up to Balloon, but how? He sighed again. If only he hadn't said those things...
Nickel got snapped out of his thoughts by footsteps approaching him. He looked over, only to see Balloon sitting down next to him, albeit with some space between them. He obviously wanted to avoid Nickel. Nickel decided to try to talk to Balloon. Maybe he could make it up now.
"Hey Balloon," Nickel greeted him, "nice sunset am I right?"
Balloon ignored Nickel. Nickel scooted closer to Balloon.
"Hey, c'mon, you know how I've changed. I would never betray you like this, my luck was never- I didn't- I-"
"Nickel, you said it yourself, it wasn't real." Balloon said, turning away from Nickel.
"I just didn't want any of us to be eliminated!" Nickel said.
"Well, I'm glad you care more about the game than defending me then." Balloon looked down.
Nickel sighed. He was mad, mad at himself for not fucking knowing how to make it up.
"Ugh, I'm sorry, okay?" He said, more harshly than intended, "Why are you so upset about it anyway? I was trying to protect you- us- our alliance!"
"Yeah, you were trying to protect us, sure, saying things like this about our friendship like it isn't even real. You still think I'm a helpless bitch who can't do anything. You can't let go of the past, can you?!" Balloon snapped back.
"Well, maybe I can!" Nickel yelled. Fuck this, he was mad at what all happened between them and needed to let it out in some way. "I care about you, Balloon! I want to protect you because I care about you! Don't you get that?"
"WELL, MAYBE I AM UPSET ABOUT IT BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT YOU! YES, NICKEL, I STILL CARE, I LIKED YOU, NICKEL! NO, I LOVED YOU! I ACTUALLY FUCKING LOVED YOU, NICKEL!" Balloon screamed. He was equally as mad, he felt betrayed and heartbroken and he let it out now too. "I loved you, Nickel," he said softly, "I always have... But it seems it's too late for that now. You fucked it up."
Balloon wanted to get up, but Nickel stopped him by grabbing his arm.
"Balloon, wait." He said.
Balloon looked at him, small tears visible in his eyes.
"What? Say whatever you need to say now, Nickel. After that I'm leaving."
"I... I lo-... I like-... Fuck, I LOVE YOU TOO!" Nickel just shouted out, in Balloon's face.
Balloon looked at Nickel, his mouth slightly agape, his cheeks starting to heat up. Nickel felt himself blush as well.
"That's why I want to protect you, Balloon, it's because I love you. I... you changed me, Balloon, you turned me into a soft bitch, but you made me feel so much better because of that... Hell, I'll sound pathetic when I say this, but... I want to be there for you, I need you, Balloon, I love you and I need you... And... I'm... I'm sorry."
Nickel looked down, hiding his face which had tears streaming down and his cheeks redder than Balloon's face. Balloon sat down. Tears were streaming down his face as well. He looked at Nickel.
"Is this true?" He asked.
Nickel nodded.
"I mean it. And I really am sorry," he said, choking out a sob, "I... I don't know how to say it otherwise."
Balloon thought. Should he forgive Nickel? He had given him tons of second chances, but Nickel fucked them all up. Maybe he should think about it for a while?
"I... I don't know if I can forgive you yet..." Balloon said, "I've given you so many chances and you fucked them all up, and yet I still feel those things towards you. I... I need some time to think..."
Nickel felt a pang of sadness in his heart, but he also had hope. Maybe Balloon would forgive him after a while.
"I understand," he said sincerely, "take all the time you need."
"...Thank you." Balloon said.
He looked at the sea again, where the sun had set completely. The only thing left were stars and the moon, which reflected into the water. Nickel looked at the sea too, thinking. Balloon meant the world to him and he was glad he could apologize to him, but he still felt guilty. If Balloon wouldn't forgive him, he would never forgive himself. But maybe Balloon would forgive him eventually. If that'd happen he'd feel happy.
But until then he decided to just wait. He'd wait until Balloon had thought about it.
Meanwhile, Balloon was also thinking. Nickel had confessed quite much feelings to him and if he had to be honest, he felt the same about it. He needed Nickel too. But on the other hand, what if he got betrayed again? He wouldn't want that. But Nickel did seem genuine when he confessed. Hell, he seemed desperate, even. Maybe Balloon could give him one more chance. If Nickel blew that chance, it'd be over. He had seen how Nickel had changed so maybe it'd turn out great after all.
He decided to forgive, but not forget. He wouldn't hold a grudge over it, but he would remember. Maybe it'd go well. Maybe they could become a couple too. Balloon had thought about it a few times and it did seem like a nice scenario.
"Nickel," Balloon said, turning to Nickel.
"Yeah?" Nickel looked back at Balloon, hope filling him.
"I have decided to forgive you, but I won't forget what happened." Balloon said.
Nickel nodded.
"I get it." He said.
Balloon smiled softly.
"Thanks."
Nickel smiled too.
"No prob."
The two kept watching the stars and the sea quietly. It would take a bit to regain what they had, but for now it'd be okay. They were no longer having beef. They'd talk about those love feelings later, but for now the silence between them was all that counted.
I'm no longer featuring the word count in stories so yeah lmaooooo. Hope y'all enjoyed! I might make a part 2 where they get into a relationship lol. Stay tuned!!
