Mother's Day with Moriko and Josei
Hello members of the Wattpad community! Happy Mother's Day! To celebrate this holiday dedicated to the women of the world who work so hard to raise their children, I've written a thing for the mother of one of the most popular FOD characters!
Warning: While there are no explicit spoilers to FOD, you'd probably find this more enjoyable, and it would make more sense, if you read at least some of the story. This does technically spoil a character's backstory, so go read it if you want to have fresh thoughts when you do!
There will be more coming soon! FOD will continue soon! Stay tuned for more exciting development in the story of Egan Trailblazer!
If I see a single "Part 69" comment, you're getting blocked. Enjoy the writing!

Moriko: Hey everyone! It's Moriko Hachimitsu here to give a special Mother's Day present to my super cool mom!
Josei: Hey guys, it's me! Josei Iten! I'm also here to give Hachimama a special day!
Hachimama: Aw, my two little girls... I'm so proud of you!
Josei: In honor of Mother's Day, we're going to introduce Hachimama to all of our awesome friends! Isn't that right, Mori?
Moriko: You bet your biscuits we are! First up, we have Egan Trailblazer, the protagonist of the story!
Egan: Hello Mrs. Hachimitsu. It's a pleasure to meet you.
Hachimama: It's nice to meet you too, Egan. You seem very polite.
Egan: I try my best to be respectful towards everyone. And today is Mother's Day, after all.
Hachimama: You'll be a fine protagonist, Egan.
Egan: I already am...
Josei: Moving on! This is Rin Sabisu, a waitress with a great memory and a huge heart!
Hachimama: Oh, I recognize you. You work at Sara's, right?
Rin: I do. You've never come by to eat though. I would remember you.
Hachimama: Sara's an old friend of mine. Her food's great, but I prefer a different style of cooking. Plus, I've got my hands full with my yoga studio and Josei.
Josei: Wow. To think we were that close to meeting before the events of the book happened.
Rin: That is astonishing.
Moriko: That sounds fun, but MOM LOOK! It's the purest little boy you'll ever see in your life! My little dewdrop, Troy Spring!
Troy: M-Moriko, you don't need to m-make that big of a deal over m-me.
Hachimama: Is this your little boyfriend, Moriko?
Troy: N-No-
Moriko: Yes, he is! Isn't he adorable?
Troy: M-M-Moriko!? Wh-When did we-
Hachimama: He's a shy one. I like him. I approve.
Troy: Moriko...
Josei: Hey, if you're going to show off Troy like that, then I'm skipping straight ahead to my best boy! Nise!
Nise: Nise Nise, reporting for duty!
Hachimama: Oh, I remember you. You're that little tailor that used to operate in the alley outside.
Nise: Yep, yep, yep! Nise Nisemono is a fantastic tailor and was very thankful that Mrs. Hachimitsu let him stay outside her studio!
Josei: He's so adorable!
Hachimama: You also picked a good one, Josei.
Moriko: Let's keep going. This is Cain Imp, the hothead of the group!
Cain: Fuck, there's no response to that I can say that'll make me look good.
Moriko: There's plenty, but you just can't think of them!
Cain: Hey! Say that again!
Hachimama: Don't you dare try to hurt my little girl.
Cain: Y-Yes, ma'am...
Hachimama: She'd kick your ass in the end.
Cain: WHAT!?
Josei: Moving on again! Next up we have Sumiko Genkakuna, the girl who kicks ass verbally instead of physically!
Sumiko: I feel like that is an inaccurate way of describing me.
Hachimama: You do look a bit intimidating. It's probably all the black.
Sumiko: I like the color.
Hachimama: I have to say, your hair is beautiful. It looks great like that. I always preferred keeping my hair long.
Sumiko: Your daughter seems to have inherited that opinion.
Moriko: You bet I have! Next up is Brett Bushel, a friendly tinkerer from a village not so far, far away.
Brett: Hello! It's nice to meet you.
Hachimama: Well, don't you look exotic. Has anyone ever told you that you remind them of a Bulbasaur?
Brett: Uh... No. Some people say my hair looks like a bush.
Moriko: It kinda does.
Hachimama: Does it bother you?
Brett: Not really. It kinda bothers me when people say it looks like weed and call me a pothead, though...
Hachimama: Ah, don't mind them. It doesn't matter what you look like. It only matters that you're proud of who you are.
Josei: That's Hachimama for you! Now we have Ame Kami! She's a weather-girl with a fiery determination inside!
Ame: That's right! Nice to meet you, Mrs. Hachimitsu.
Hachimama: Nice to meet you, too. Are you a good friend of Josei's?
Ame: I sure am! Josei is one of my best friends here!
Josei: Moriko is our friend, too! The three of us get along great!
Moriko: We sure do! I'm glad we got to meet each other.
Hachimama: I'm so proud of my girls. You have such wonderful friends here.
Ame: Nothing can bring us down!
Moriko: Alright, next up is Tim Snowdrop! He writes novels and wears all black because he's edgy!
Tim: Please refrain from calling me that.
Hachimama: You seem pretty mature.
Tim: That's because I am. Moriko and Josei's antics can sometimes be rather annoying. Though, they have a certain charm to them that keeps me from being angry.
Hachimama: You remind me of that librarian from earlier.
Tim: We're close.
Josei: Moving on once again! This is Kata Maindo! She plays darts!
Kata: I do more than that, but either way, it's a pleasure to meet you.
Hachimama: The pleasure is all mine. That's a nice scarf.
Kata: Thank you. Red is my favorite color.
Hachimama: I noticed.
Kata: Moriko must have inherited your love of the color pink.
Hachimama: I guess she has.
Kata: I hope you don't mind me asking, but what's your first name?
Hachimama: Saki. Saki Hachimitsu is my full name.
Kata: It's a nice name.
Moriko: You bet your biscuits it is! Over here is Reito Ame, the ice skater who's also a big mama's boy!
Reito: Not to be rude, but why isn't my mother here for this?
Moriko: Because my mother has a connection to me and Josei, and not just you. Plus, having two mothers would take a lot more time to write.
Reito: I guess that makes sense.
Hachimama: Hey, don't complain. If you want to do something for your mother, feel free to do it after this. I'm sure she's proud of you.
Reito: Thank you, ma'am.
Hachimama: Anytime. You should be proud for not disappointing her, too.
Reito: I'll make sure she can be proud of me!
Josei: Isn't he something? Anyway, now we have Megumi Ninmei. She's a receptionist!
Megumi: I'm not just a receptionist. I have a high IQ and I'm very good with numbers.
Hachimama: I was never good with numbers. I had to hire an accountant in order to make sure I could keep my studio running.
Megumi: So, is being a yoga instructor difficult?
Hachimama: No, it's not that bad. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it to see everyone so calm and relaxed at the end of every session.
Josei: I get to help sometimes, too!
Hachimama: Josei is one of the most flexible people I've ever met. She really enjoys doing yoga.
Megumi: Maybe I should try yoga sometime. It seems like it'd be nice to relax every now and then. I get stressed sometimes. Not from work, just from normal things in everyday life.
Josei: I feel that.
Megumi: It was nice to meet you, Mrs. Hachimitsu!
Hachimama: You too.
Moriko: So then, now we have Ishi Koishi! The stoic sculptor who is dating our wonderful Kata!
Ishi: Our relationship doesn't define either one of us. We love each other, but one does not control the life of the other.
Hachimama: I see you were raised right.
Ishi: ...You could say that.
Moriko: He's a bit distant, but I know he cares about us!
Ishi: Yes, I may appear distant or uninterested at times, but that's mainly due to being raised in... unusual circumstances.
Hachimama: Do you want to move on?
Ishi: Yes, I do. I don't wish to talk about that for now.
Moriko: Maybe you can tell Egan in your free time. Get it?
Ishi: No.
Moriko: Dammit.
Hachimama: I can see you're also a mature one.
Ishi: Indeed I am.
Hachimama: You may want to loosen up a bit.
Ishi: I try my best.
Josei: Well, I guess it's time to introduce you to the last one, Hikari Nakayama! She's certainly not the least, though. She hosts a game show and is super fun to be around!
Hikari: Hello, Mrs. Hachimitsu! You look beautiful!
Hachimama: Thank you. You do too.
Hikari: Thanks. It's kind of my job to look pleasing for the audience.
Hachimama: As long as you aren't dressing just for them.
Hikari: Of course not! I still dress the way I want to, just sometimes with a bit more flair for the crowd.
Hachimama: That sounds kinda fun.
Hikari: It is! I love my job!
Moriko: Well, that's everyone. What do you think, Mom?
Hachimama: Moriko, Josei, the two of you have made a bunch of wonderful friends. As your birthmother and adoptive mother, I'm so proud of you both.
Josei: Thanks, Hachimama! Happy Mother's Day.
Moriko: Happy Mother's Day!
Hachimama: And happy Mother's Day to everyone out there today!
Moriko: Thanks for reading!
Josei: Goodbye!
