I had a strange dream last night, and I thought it would make a good concept for a book.

Maybe it was a sign or something... I don't know, but I'm gonna run it by you guys and see what you think of the basic plot I gathered from it.

First, the dream.

The dream was a very brief one. In it, a girl woke up in a bed and there was a guy next to the bed. Either he introduced himself as or she recognized him as her internal clock. (You guys know what that is, right? It's the way your body perceives time on its own. You know, when you're used to waking up and going to sleep at the same time every day.) The guy then picked her up in his arms and started carrying her off. She said that he didn't have to worry about her, but he said it was his job as her internal clock to watch over her. The room they were in was blue. Like, it looked like it was made of clouds. Like one of those dream worlds.

So, this made me think: What if that was a book?

Here's my idea: Whenever a girl goes to sleep, she goes to a dream world. Her dreams are different every night, based on what happened to her throughout the day she had. A few characters and such will remain constant, but the environment may greatly vary depending on what happened. Another constant is that every dream she has, her internal clock is there, to watch over her and to wake her up when her body wants her to, you know, like a real internal clock. Like a real internal clock, he be "thrown out of whack" if the girl stayed up late, whether he acted loopy or silly or just plain weird, I haven't decided, but that element would come into play.

I don't have a concrete title name yet, nor a full plot, but this concept seems interesting and big enough to expand into it's own thing.

So, what do you guys think? Should I try to make it it's own story here? Should I make another original story? (I say another because the one I told you guys I would do is on hold until SOMEBODY finishes making the cover for it.)
