The Girl In The Crowd - Part 1

Nialls pov
Everytime I am on stage, I can't help looking at everyone in the crowd. Since One Direction, I have been looking for the one girl that stands out, but is also herself.

This day, it might be the day. I was on stage in Dallas, Texas. The crowd is like any other: amazing and loud.

When I was singing "On The Loose" , I saw this girl in the front row. She was singing along, but her eyes looked somewhat sad. She sparked my interest, I knew I had to talk to her somehow.

I decided to ask her on stage, during my next song "Flicker", which I would sing to her.

"So before I start my next song, I would like to do something I haven't done yet this tour. I am going to ask someone on stage, to whom I am going to dedicate my next song too."

The crowd went crazy of course, everyone wanted to be on this stage with me, but I only wanted one person.

I looked around. "The girl on the front row, with the blue hair and my very own t-shirt on!" I pointed to her. At first, she hesitated. I could tell she would have never guessed to be so close to me. Maybe she was, kind of afraid. "Don't worry love, you don't have to dance, sing or anything else."

She nodded a yes and the guards got her on stage.

I walked up to her and gave her a big hug. I whispered in her ear "Don't worry. I'm here. You don't have to be afraid. I won't embarrass you".

She looked into my eyes and smiled at me. "Hi, I'm y/n."

"Hello everyone! I would like to introduce you, y/n!" The crowd started cheering.

"Y/'n you can sit over here and just enjoy my next song."

"My next song is going to be Flicker everyone!"

I sat down next to y/n and started playing the chords.

The whole crowd was silent and were holding up lights. I looked over at y/n. She was looking at me with teary eyes, but she smiled to let me know she was okay.

Still a flicker of hope that you first gave to me
That I wanna keep
Please don't leave
Please don't leave

She put her head on my shoulder and for a moment, it was just us two in this big venue. No one else. Me, my guitar and her. It felt normal. It felt great.

When the song ended, I put my guitar down. I turned to her so that nobody could hear me. "Hii y/n, you can sit on the side and watch the rest of the show there. If you'd like, wait until I'm done. I would love to talk to you more."

She looked at me one more time and whispered a "thank you". She walked to the side where I could see her. She smiled and nodded and I knew she was doing fine.

To be continued
