You were at the NHL All-star Game, pregnant, watching your husband, Matt Duchene play in the All-star game. Your baby was due in a week, and you couldn't wait. You had gotten an ultrasound a week earlier and the doctor said it was a girl. Back to the game. Matt was out there for the draw, but the game was casual, no one really tried on them. Right off the bat Matt tipped it through Jonathan Toews's legs at he split the D and scored on Jonathan Quick. The goal horn sounded, and you jumped your feet. As you did though, you looked down and saw a wet puddle. You were having your baby. You panicked and screamed, which got everyone's attention around you. Someone called an ambulance, and a doctor at the game came and sat beside her. (A/N I'm sorry I've never experienced pregnancy so here I go.) Contractions kicked in. After the contractions getting worse, the doctor told you to push. Just then, you realized everyone on the ice went to the bench but Matt was nowhere to be seen "Where is he?" You ask yourself. Just then, Matt came from the curtains and flew down the stairs to you. "Hey Y/N." He said, out of breath, giving you a quick peck on the cheeks. "Sorry to interrupt the moment but, the baby's coming out." The doctor said calmly. You continued to push and soon the baby was out. "She's beautiful." Matt said. "Can I hold her?" You gave your beautiful baby girl to your husband. "What should we name her?" Matt asks, not lifting his head. "I know!" You exclaim. "What?" Asks Matt. "Her first name should be Ella. You choose the middle name." You say whist smiling. "Louise, after my mom (not true)." Matt responds. "I love you Y/N." Matt says, kissing your forehead. " I love you too Matt, I love you too." You say while smiling.
