You were at your boyfriend, Corey Crawford's apartment on Christmas Day to exchange gifts. You were at the mall the day before, comparing a large amount of gifts. You finally decided on a nice looking watch that Corey had been talking about for ages. You thought that wasn't enough, so you also got him a special edition Blackhawks tuque that he had also wanted.

After you knocked on his apartment door, you wondered what he had gotten you. Blackhawks merchandise? Maybe jewelry? You couldn't wait to see what he got you. Corey opened the door with a smile. "Hey babe! Merry Christmas. Come on in, it's just you and me today." Corey greeted. "Merry Christmas to you too." You say, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Right away, you both sat on the floor near the almost bare tree, except for a few gifts from Corey to you. You eagerly put the presents you got him under the tree and Corey, playing Santa, takes a present from under the tree. "To Corey. From Y/N" He says, then makes a horrible Santa noise. He opens it and it was the tuque, and Corey was happy. He put it on and gave you a kiss. "Thanks babe. How'd you know?" You chuckle, knowing he knows that he told you he wanted it. After he opened the watch, he gave a present from you. You open it, but nothing is in there. You stand and spin to look at Corey for an explanation you see Corey and you squeal and started to tear up. Corey was on one knee. "Y/N, I have fallen for you. Every bit of you I have fallen for. You are the most beautiful girl ever. Will you do me the honours and marry me?" Corey asks, opening a tiny square box holding a beautiful diamond ring. "Yes! Yes Yes Yes! 100 times yes! I love you Corey!" You scream, you had been waiting for this for years. Corey leaves the room, and comes back with a box with holes. "That's not all."  Corey says, gesturing to the box. How could this day get any better? You ask yourself, then open the box. A chocolate brown blur flies out and starts to lick you. "Ahhhh!!!! SO CUTE" You scream once again, then look at Corey. "The ring was enough, but what's the puppy for?" You ask, holding your new dog. "The dog is a celebration of our marriage." Corey explained. "How'd you know I'd say yes?" You question. "I didn't." Corey smirked. You just smiled. "Corey?" "Yea?" "Thank you. For everything." You say, kissing him. "What do you want to name the dog?" Corey asks. "I know." You say smiling. "What?" Corey asks anxiously. "Basil." You say, still smiling. "Why Basil? Why not Chocolate, or something else? She isn't even green!" Corey complains. "It's a cool name, so shut up." You say, then laugh. "I love you." You say, dragging him to his room. You jump on the bed and he jumps on you. "I love you too."
