The Awards Show- William Karlsson
Y/N's POV:
Tonight is the night where I find out if I win the most prestigious award for my sport, snowboarding. Sure, I thought that I did fairly well, but I knew that there were snowboarders that had already proven themselves worthy of being here.
Anyhow, I just knew to enjoy the moment because who knew when the next time this would happen to me? My night started off with walking down the red carpet and seeing some of my fans, meeting them, and talking to reporters. This is my first time being invited to any awards show, so some of this was new to me.
As I was signing for a little girl, I looked over towards the entrance to the building and saw a guy with long blond hair talking to a reporter. I wondered who he was, and why was he here? I couldn't focus on these thoughts for much longer, as more fans and reporters vied for my attention.
By the time I was finished all of that, my hand ached, yet I had the world's biggest grin on my face. I never realized how many people knew me. And I had not met my biggest fan yet.
I walked to my seat and saw that someone was sitting right next to me, and it was the dude with long blonde hair. I saw that he was looking at me and I smiled at him. I sat down next to him and said, "Hi, My name's Y/F/N."
He said to me quietly, "I'm William. William Karlsson."
I looked towards him and smiled, "Well, William, why are you freaked out by me? I don't have a snowboard on me, I'm not that dangerous with out one."
He looked towards me and said, "It's just that I'm a huge fan of yours. Your moves, how you approach every situation, it's amazing how you can do that."
I blushed a little and said, "Thanks. I didn't realize that people thought of what I did for fun like that."
William smacked his head and mumbled, "Great. I just embarrassed myself in front of her."
I laughed a little and smiled, "William, you didn't do anything wrong. Trust me, I have had so many other people do crazier stuff around me. Mainly male snowboarders. Or crazy fangirls. Those are scary people."
He looked at me and I saw his light blue eyes for the first time. I smiled at him as he said, "Fangirls? Yeah, they're a little out there."
And who would have thought that I would be talking to one of my biggest fans about fans that think that we're the greatest human that have ever walked on the Earth. For example, I told him about a fan that once knew where I was during this one tournament at all times of the day. Heck, this fan even made a book about where I was. It was creepy!
William, meanwhile, had to deal with a fan on a cross country plane trip and the fan was even worse than my experience. The fan would not stop talking about William.
After sharing more horror stories of crazy fans, we just started talking about the awards show, and getting to know each other more. I had a feeling that by the end of the night, I would have a new best friend. Maybe something more, but that would be pushing the buttons a bit.

William's POV:
I thought that talking to my celebrity crush would be painful, but it's not. I don't get it, usually people freak out when meeting me, but now I see that the struggle is real. I'm on their side of meeting someone that they like.
But somehow, I connected with Y/N. Maybe it was over our insane fan experiences, but however it happen, I was sure happy about it. We talked about any and everything, from our sports to how to conquer the ever dreaded traveling days.
Finally, the awards show started and I focused on that, yet I made sure that Y/N was alright. She was nervous for sure, and I could see why. I think that she has a good shot at winning her category, Female Athlete of the Year.
I was nominated for Male Athlete of the Year, and I had a decent shot at winning that. Sure, I had a stellar breakout season, but I up against the likes of legends in their sports.
Sure enough the announcer said, "And now it's time to announce the winner of Female Athlete of the Year! First, let's take a look at our nominees:..."
I didn't even pay attention to that, I focused on how nervous Y/N was. She smiled when the camera was on her, yet I could see how much she was nervous. She looked at me and I smiled at her.
The host then said, "And your winner is...Y/F/N for snowboarding!"
She turned towards me and smiled. I said to her quietly, "Well don't just stand here! Go get it!"
She walked up on stage, that million dollar smile on her face and at that moment, I could have careless if I won. Y/N had won, and that's all that mattered to me.
She turned towards the mic and started to speak, "Well, first off, wow, I had no idea I would be standing here, this is so cool! I would like to thank my family, friends, my trainers, and last but certainly not least, my fans. Thank you so much!"
I stood up and clapped along with the crowd. She then walked back towards me and said, "That was scary!"
I smiled at her and said, "What was scary?"

Y/N's POV:
I walked back towards my seat and William after receiving my award. I saw down and said to him, "That was scary!"
He smiled and said, "What was scary?"
I recalled the fear of tripping on stage, my speech, and just other stuff like that. It was thrilling at the same time, it felt unreal.
He smiled at me and said, "Congrats on winning your award, Y/N. You deserved it."
I said, "Thanks. It just feels so unreal. It's weird."
Suddenly, I heard the announcer say, "And now it's for announcing the winner of Male Athlete of the Year. And your nominees are..."
I tuned them out because I saw that William was nervous. I quietly said to him, "You have nothing to be nervous about. You'll be fine."
The announcer the said, "And the winner is....Derek Jeter!"
I looked at William's face, and it sunk in disappointment. I turn towards him and said, "It's okay. Trust me, you're only starting your career. You'll have plenty of more chances to win."
He whispered back, "Nah, I won something else."
"And what is that?"
"Having you as a friend."
I smiled. Well, I guess we both had a good time at the awards show. Win or lose, we both got something out of it. And that's all that matters.

A/N: Request for this idea came from KrissiZIP! Really great idea, a lot of fun to write about!
So, many of you are wondering why I haven't been updating lately. Well, life happens. It's nothing bad, I assure you, but I've been at concerts, filming a podcast, and I am now an official college student!
Next up will answer the question: What happens when a player gets sick? The answer...well don't know yet, but soon you'll find out.
And last, THANK YOU FOR OVER 1.5 K VIEWS! I am freaking out over this...wow. Because of the feedback that I've been getting from all of the reads and readers, I have decided to enter this book into the 2016 Wattys. Hopefully it does well!
Finally, requests are always open! I keep track of them in the first chapter of this story now, that way no request is ever forgotten.
Thanks for reading!
