Sunset Wedding- Roman Josi
Isabella's POV:
As I get ready to walk down the aisle to my future, I reflect on what my life has been like ever since that fateful night where I met my future husband.
If anyone had told me three years ago that I would be marrying my favorite hockey player, Roman Josi, then I would have told them that they were insane! But yet, today is the special day.
What has our relationship survived? Well, quite a bit, from winning Lord Stanley, to a season ending injury. Yet, through it all, Roman and I have stuck together. Everyone says we were made for each other.
Our relationship by any means isn't perfect, but then again, is anything truly perfect? According to me, the only perfect thing or being in this world is Roman. And according to him, I am the only perfect thing in the world.
I looked at myself in the mirror in my hotel room before I walked down to the beach. In it, I saw myself wearing a mermaid style white dress and my hair done flawlessly. I smiled at my reflection and I decided that this would be my last moment with my maiden name.
I walked outside of the hotel room door and saw the sun just hovering over the ocean. Roman and I had decided on sunset wedding because we both knew that the sun set meant that as a chapter of our lives were closing, another one would begin with that same sunset. I almost teared up at the mere thought of marrying the love of my life at sunset.
It was a short walk to the beach, and I already saw the whole team there, waiting for me. I saw my family waiting for me too. And who could forget, my maid of honor Wendy and Thompson?
Wendy was the first to spot me and pulled Thompson along with her. I walked a little quicker to catch up to her. She embraced me and said, "Isabella! Look at you dressed up like that!"
I laughed and replied, "Guess you would never expect me to look like this?" I was like Wendy, we were both tomboys and hated dressing up about as much as our love for any of the Predators rivals.
"No, you look gorgeous! Wait 'til Roman sees you in that!"
I laughed and looked at Thompson and said, "Well, I would never have met the love of life without you giving or selling your tickets to Wendy. I could never repay you for that."
He replied, "Yeah you can. Can you please tell Wendy to let go of my arm?" I started to laugh as I looked at Wendy's death grip on Thompson's arm.
"Wendy, can you please let go of Thompson? Don't you have Filip to hold onto?"
She laughed and said, "You're right." All three of us laughed as we walked down towards the beach. Towards my future.
As I was led down the aisle by my two friends, I saw my soon to be husband's teammates- no, brothers-and my family all standing up and smiling. My mother and father didn't mind that I was being walked down the aisle by Wendy and Thompson because they considered those two to be like my brother and sister that I never had.
And then, I finally saw Roman. I almost fainted at the sign of him, he looked so handsome in his suit and tie! His eyes seemed golden with the sun reflecting off of them. I then knew that this was the future I wanted.
Once I arrived at the end of the aisle, Wendy and Thompson embraced me as Wendy said, "See you on the other side?" I quietly laughed as those two let go of my hands and Roman took my smaller hands into his larger ones. Wendy, meanwhile, sat down with her boyfriend, Filip Forsberg, and Thompson sat down right next to Wendy.
I finally was able to relax as I looked at Roman and as the preacher started his quick speech. Out of the corner of my eye, I was able to see the sun starting to set and the colors start to appear.
The preacher then said, "Now, I know that you have both have prepared you vows, so, I'll give you two the floor to say those vows now. Roman, you can go first."
Roman started to speak, "Isabella, ever since our first picnic together, I knew that somehow, we were going to end up here at some point or another. I promise, in front of my teammates and our families that I will treat you like the princess that you are. I promise to always be there for you no matter what happens. I can't thank you enough for walking into my life and stealing my heart away, and I will always try to repay that each and everyday. I love you, Isabella."
I wiped a tear away as the preacher said, "Isabella, you may now say your vows to Roman."
I took a deep breath and started into my vows, "Roman, if anyone would have told me three years ago that I would be marrying you, I would have told them that they were crazy. Yet, here we are. These three years have been the best I have, and I can't believe I've spend them with you. I promise, in front of all of your teammates and our families, that I will always be there by your side, no matter what happens. You've changed me for the better, and I will spend everyday of my life enjoying life with you and trying to repay you for that. I love you, Roman Josi."
The preacher smiled and said, "May we have the rings please?"
Thompson got up and handed the rings to either me or Roman as the preacher explained what they meant. We put the rings on each other hands and I smiled as I saw the reflection of the ocean in the ring on my left hand.
The preacher finally said, "Do you, Isabella, take Roman to be your husband?"
I smiled as I said, "Yes."
"And do you, Roman, take Isabella to be your wife."
Roman smiled as he said, "Yes. I do."
The preacher then said, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
It was for sure, the world's best kiss. And as we kissed, the sun was finally able to set beyond the ocean.
That sunset was the start of a great new chapter of life for Roman and me. And I couldn't wait for it to happen.

A/N:
Requested by fanficsaddict22! Let me know how you like this! Sorry for the long wait!
Well, I got some explaining to do to all of the readers. I planned on posting this last Sunday, but my family's pet, T-Rex, suddenly passed away because of heart failure. As a result, I decided to delay writing this imagine for a week to recover from my emotions. But, I am doing ten times better and I just remind myself to #AlwaysKeepFighting
Anyhow, this past week has included going to a Predators game against Colorado. As a result, I can hardly speak today! It was so worth it!
Next idea....well, who knows? Maybe Rinne or something like that? I'll figure it out soon. Signing off with #AlwaysKeepWriting,
~Shannon (
