Stanley Cup Surprise- Olli Määttä
Olli's POV:
Tonight is Game Six of the Stanley Cup Finals for the Penguins. We were leading the series against the Sharks 3-2. We could win it all tonight.
But, it wouldn't be the same without my family here. I have full confidence that we can win it all tonight, but I really wanted my family to be here with me. They couldn't come because the game was cross country in San Jose. And that's fine, but it doesn't feel the same to me.
Anyhow, I start getting ready for practice, but suddenly, my phone rings. I looked down at it and I see a picture of the most beautiful woman in the whole world: my wife, Alicia. Throughout many seasons, she has been by my side through it all: injuries, bad seasons, possible trades, and the most important part: she's managed to deal with me.
I pick up as I smile, "Hey Alicia."
I could hear her happiness through the phone, "Hi Olli! I just wanted to say good luck in practice today!"
"Thanks Alicia. I miss you."
"Miss you too Olli. But you can't focus on that. You have to focus on tonight and practice." I hear a beeping noise through the phone and many people around her.
"Alicia, where in the world are you at?"
"Y/F/S (your favorite store.) Sorry, it's crazy in here!"
I smiled, "I'll let you get back to shopping then. Love you Alicia."
"Love you too Olli."
I then hung up and then continued to get ready for practice with a smile on my face knowing that Alicia was going to be watching at home....barring the lines shopping.

Alicia's POV:
Okay, I'm not at Y/F/S. I'm at the airport waiting for my flight to San Jose, California. I had to lie to Olli. Don't want him to find out about me being at the game.
I was standing near security when I called Olli, hence, all of the beeping noises and people. Once I hung up with him, I headed to the gate with fight number 336.
As I waited for the plane, I thought about what tonight's game meant to the Penguins. They could win it all tonight. Granted, far away from Pittsburgh, but never less, they could bring the Cup back where it belongs.
Next thing I knew, the flight was being called and as I boarded the plane, I smiled as I thought about seeing Olli again really soon.

Olli's POV:
Time marches closer and closer to faceoff, and I get more and more nervous. I pick up my phone and decided to call Alicia.
She picks up and says, "Hi Olli!"
"Hey Alicia. How was shopping?"
She took a deep breath and said, "Crazy, as usual, but I'm done with it. I'm on my way home."
"Are you going to watch tonight's game?"
She laughs and I could hear her smile, "Of course! I wouldn't miss the game for anything!"
I smiled and said, "You sure?"
"Yeah. No matter where you are, I'll be there supporting you, in spirit or if possible, in person."
A single man tear slipped down my face, "Always?"
"Always. I love you Olli."
"Love you too Alicia." I heard the team coming in and I quickly said into the phone, "I've gotta go before the team takes my phone again."
"Good luck tonight Olli. See you real soon!"
I then hung up the phone as the team walked in. The Captain, Sidney Crosby approaches me, "Were you talking to her again?"
"Yeah. You didn't take my phone though."
"I'll just have to try harder next time. You ready for tonight?"
"As ready as I'll ever be."

Alicia's POV:
After a hectic flight and hectic traffic, I finally made it to the SAP Center in San Jose, California. I was dressed in Olli's jersey, black jeans, and black shoes. Comfy for a plane trip, and still supporting my family.
I get into the arena and see that I am part of a small group of Penguins fans here. I go find my seat, and notice that I'm not too close to the glass, yet I'm close enough to see all of the action. Olli won't be able to see me, but I'll see him. This is going to be good.
Now, how to keep myself under control during the game.
I heard the announcer say, "Please rise for the National Anthem."
As I stood up, I took a deep breath, and found Olli. You've got this Olli. I believe in you.

Olli's POV- Later On
This game has to be the toughest game of my career. The Sharks would just not give up. It was a back and forth game not scorewise, but physical play was rough.
It's the final countdown now, and my team is leading 2-1. I get called out onto the ice to finish the game. I go out onto the ice and I give it everything I've got.
I intercepted the puck from a poor pass by San Jose and just start skating towards the goal. I shot it, and next thing I knew, the buzzer went off and my teammates were surrounding me saying, "Good job Olli!"
I fist bumped my teammates and got back into position. I looked at the clock and saw that there was less than a minute left.
The faceoff was won by the Sharks, and I just started to go after the puck. They shot at the net, and the horn sounded for the end of the game.
Our goalie held up his glove, and all I saw was a small black dot in his glove.
We had just won the Stanley Cup! Holy cow, this isn't real! It can't be! What just happened?
My teammates and I mob our goalie and celebrate: We Won. We're the final team standing.
I'm betting Alicia is so happy right now. I wish that she could be here right now.

Alicia's POV:
Olli's team won the Stanley Cup! I'm so glad that I got to see it live!
I walked-no, ran- towards the entrance for the family members of the players to come down. I saw all of the WAGS looking at me. Well, if I can surprise them, then there's a chance that I can surprise Olli.
I look ahead and see that the players are celebrating amongst themselves. They deserved this and so much more.
I saw Olli celebrating, and it seems like he was enjoying it, yet the excitement didn't quite reach his eyes. I knew why. I was going to change that very soon.
After what felt like an eternity, they finally let us all on the ice. I hid in the middle of the crowd, that way, Olli couldn't see me.
I got onto the ice and looked around for Olli, and I saw him talking to the Captain, Sidney Crosby. Sid saw me and all I did was I put my pointer finger to my lips.
I snuck up behind Olli and hugged him from behind, "Congrats Olli! Great goal!"
He jumped in shock, turned around and saw me. He looked at me and said, "You can't be here right now. This isn't real."
"Well, I said I would be here with you in spirit or if possible, in person. Always. So, here I am, right?"
Olli wiped a single tear off of his face, "This is so much better than winning the Cup. Thank you Alicia." He then hugged me and said, "Let's go take our picture together.
I smiled to myself. I'm betting I got him good.
