Becoming Mrs. Wilson- Tom Wilson
Taylor's POV:
Today was the most thrilling day of my life! I am getting married to the love of my life, Tom Wilson. Our relationship has been anything but ordinary, but at the end of each day, Tom and I loved each other through thick and thin.
What has our relationship included? Well, I had to adjust my life to a hockey player's schedule, which I would do that and more for Tom. Going to away games, following the trade rumors like they were a religion and screaming my heart out at each for Tom to not get injured and to play his best, that was my new beautiful life. And I wouldn't trade it away for anything in the world. If anyone would have told me that I would be standing in a long white dress going to marry the Tom Wilson three years ago, then I would have called them a lunatic.
I finally see my reflection in the mirror and see myself in the white dress of my dreams, and I smile at the thought of seeing how handsome Tom would look. My hair was done flawlessly and I smiled at my reflection.
My father came into the room and said, "Wow, I never thought that my baby girl would ever grow up and get married. You look amazing, honey."
Tears came into my eyes as I replied, "Thanks Dad. I have a question for you: What did you feel like when you were marrying Mom?"
He smiled as we walked out of the room and towards the door that would be our entrance, "Well, I'm betting Tom is feeling the same thing as I was. I was excited to be marrying the woman of my dreams, your mother. I was nervous because I didn't want to mess up the vows or drop the ring. But most of all, I knew that this was going to start a new chapter of my life. I wasn't going to be alone in this chapter, because I had your mother by my side. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but I wouldn't trade anything away from that."
As we got into position behind the door, I saw my mother waiting for the two of us. When she spots us, she comes up to the two of us and gives the two of us a hug and says, "Wow. Taylor, you look so amazing! I can't believe that my daughter is getting married!" Tears start to form in her eyes and my dad tries to comfort her.
As I watch my mother and father interact with each other, I see that they still love each other. It reminded me of when Tom comforted me whenever something bad would happen to me. I smiled and hoped that Tom and I would stay together forever.
Sooner than I knew it, my father grabbed my arm and said to me, "You ready?"
"Yeah." The piano then started playing 'Here Comes the Bride,' and we started to walk down the aisle together. As the doors opened, I finally was able to see Tom, and he took my breathe away. I could see tears forming in his eyes and tears formed in my own.
After what felt like an eternity, we finally made it to the alter. The preacher asked, "Who gives the bride away on this fine day?"
My father spoke up, "I do. I am the father of the bride."
I hugged my father one final time and said in his ear, "I love you, Daddy."
A single man tear rolled down his face as he gave my hand to Tom. I smiled as the preacher started his speech about how special today was for everyone here, mainly for Tom and me. Today would be the day where we would unite our lives together in a new chapter. As the preacher went one, I quickly looked over to my father and remembered his speech that he gave earlier about his feelings. How the preacher and my father sounded so similar at that moment.
The preacher then said, "Now, these two would like to say their vows to each other."
Tom started off, "Taylor, from the first day I met you, I knew that you were my soulmate. I thought that when I first saw you, I thought that a guy like me would never be lucky enough to have a girl like you. You've dealt with any and everything with such style and grace that it amazes me how you deal with my crazy lifestyle. Not a moment goes by each and everyday that I don't think about your adorable smile, or how your eyes light up, or how you always make me fall in love with you even harder. I promise to you, in front of all of these family members, that I will treat you like a princess forever and I will always put you first above all else. I love you Taylor."
Tears slipped down my face as Tom finished his vows. I took a deep breath and started with my vows, "Tom, ever since I've met you, my life has been so amazing and different. I wouldn't trade these past few years for anything in the world. You always make me smile when you do the simplest acts, you always make me laugh at your jokes, and you always are there to comfort me when I need it the most. I am ready to start this new chapter of life with you by my side, and I wouldn't want anything else. Right here, I promise to always root you on during your games, help you out when needed, but above that, to enjoy this journey with my best friend. I love you, Tom."
After that, and everyone recovered, the preacher was asking, "Do you, Taylor, take Thomas Wilson as your husband?"
I smiled as I said, "I do."
The preacher then asked Tom, "Do you, Thomas Wilson, take Taylor to be your wife?"
I saw the smile on his face and the smile reached his eyes as he said, "I do."
The preacher then said, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Tom and I then kissed as everyone cheered and clapped. I could just say that it was definitely the world's best kiss. After the kiss, we then looked out at the crowd and I saw my mother and father smiling. I then looked at my husband and smiled.
Next thing I knew, Tom had picked me up bridal style and carried me out of the room and brought me to the limo that would take the two of us to the reception.
We both got into the car and Tom said, "I can now finally call you mine, Mrs. Wilson."
I smiled and said, "I like the sound of that."
