Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton Oilers)

"Babe please, don't worry. I promise my parents will love you, my siblings too." I tried to calm Leon down but he just kept pacing the room, running his hands through his once styled hair, which he had now ruined. "I just don't want to be the reason you and your parents and siblings fight." he told me. "We're a pretty good family, I don't think you can break us, Leon." I told him and he nodded, kissing the top of my head gently. "Have I mentioned how beautiful you look today." he told me, kissing me without any intention of stopping and I giggled. "Later, but we have to go." he groaned and grabbed my hand, leading me out the door. The drive there was an hour of laughs, kisses, and singing, but we finally made it. "Y/N! How good it is to see you! And you must be Leo! Come on in!" my mom exclaimed. He looked at me and I frowned. "Mom, it's Leon." I corrected her. "Oh sorry, dear. Leon! That's it. Come on in and say hi to your siblings." she said motioning us in. I grabbed Leon's hand and walked into the family room. "Hey sis." I heard my oldest brother, Anthony say. I was always closest to him. "Tony!" I yelled, running to give him a hug. "How's it going, little sis?" he asked me after he set me down. "You must be the guy who keeps my sister and Oilers fans happy everyday! I'm Anthony, and you must be Leon." my brother greeted Leon and I smiled at the fact that he had been so kind with him. I had always gotten along well with most of my family, except for my dad. I had fought a lot with my other brother, but that was just sibling stuff. Me and my dad were always arguing. "Crystal! Hey girl! Brooks! How are you?" I greeted my sister and her fiance, hugging both of them. "I'm Leon." Leon told them, going to shake his hand which Brooks took but my sister immediately shoved away and pulled him into a hug. "I'm a hugger." she told him after she pulled away from him grinning. "Where's Christian?" I asked about my younger brother, whom I was still younger than. I was the baby of the house. "He's in the basement, probably playing video games." she told me and I rolled my eyes. My brother is 21 years old and he still spends his life and money playing video games. "Christian! Come meet Leon!" I yelled downstairs to my brother. A while later he came up, opening the door. "Hey, Y/N/N. Is this him?" he asked and I nodded smiling. "Hey bro, I'm Christian." he told him holding out his hand to shake. "Leon, nice to meet you." he replied and Chris nodded. "Y/D/N! Come meet Y/N's boyfriend!" my mom yelled to my dad and I groaned eternally. Oh great. Heavy footsteps came down the stairs and I saw my father approach. Leon looked at me, petrified and I squeezed his hand and gave him the best reassuring smile I could. This was the hard part. "What's your name son?" my dad's voice boomed and Leon gulped. "Leon. It's a pleasure to meet you sir." Leon told him and stuck out his hand but my dad walked by it. I gave Leon a sad smile and squeezed his hand. "I'm sure Y/N told you to say that." he muttered. "Dad! That's a lie!" I screeched at him. "Y/D/N..." my mom trailed off. "Dad, Leon is a great guy if you would give him a chance. We've been dating for a year and I thought you would be ready to meet him and at least be accepting of him." I said and grabbed Leon's hand, walking him towards the dinner table. "Where are you going, young lady?" my dad asked. "To eat? After all that is what we came here for." I told him. "No, you aren't. You can't talk to me like that. You can't just show up to our house, disrespect me, and stand up for your petty boyfriend who's just gonna cheat on you and plays for a crappy hockey team. Leave." he boomed. "Y/D/N!" my mother yelled. "I said leave!" he yelled and I took a step towards the door, tears forming in my eyes. "To everyone else, I'm sorry it had to be like this. I'm sorry me and dad got in the way of us being the perfect family. I'll leave now." I said tears forming in my eyes. Leon was quick to grab my hand. I hugged my siblings and Brooks, hand still laced with Leon's. I squeezed my mother, letting go of Leon's hand for a second. We both wiped our tears. I walked out of the door, shooting daggers at my father. Just as I walked out the door, I looked my father dead in the eyes and told him one thing. "This broken family is your fault. And I hope you remember that for the rest of your life." I told him, grabbing Leon's hand and running out of the house as fast as I can. I sprinted to the car, dragging Leon behind me, just trying to get out of there. I refused to let any tears fall until I got into the driveway of my apartment. After a grueling hour drive home with no words said, we finally made to Leon's house. I assume that he didn't really want me by myself after my father kicked me out of my own house. We walked through the door and the second the door was closed, I threw myself at Leon and cried in his arms. He rubbed my back and whispered sweet nothings in my ear, but nothing would really make me feel better at that point; I was broken, I was homeless. Not literally, but I had no home; my family kicked me out. "I want you to stay here for a bit." he told me after I had calmed down a bit and I nodded as he kissed me softly on the forehead. "I'm sorry I got you kicked out of your household." he told me and I shook my head. "It's not your fault, baby. I figured he wouldn't like you because you make me happy and that's what he hated. He hated that I had a good life and that I was the girl who loved hockey, not the girl who got the best grades and I turned down a full ride for volleyball to move out here and go to University of Alberta. He hated that something made me happy that wasn't pro volleyball. He wanted me to go pro and instead, I fell in love with a pro." I told him, kissing him softly on the lips. "You are my home."

hope you guys liked this :))
