"Are you ready?" My maid of honor asked me. "I'm so nervous. What if he isn't here? What if he thinks I look ugly and leaves me? What if I fall?" I rambled. "You'll be fine, trust me. I just saw him, he's here. He was just telling me that you're gonna be the most beautiful bride in the world. Now, I'll go get your dad and let's go. Jack's waiting." she told me and smiled, walking out the door. When my dad walked in, the tears started coming. "Baby girl." he breathed out. "You look ravishing." he told me and I smiled. "Thank you, daddy." I linked my arm with his and we started walking towards the doors. When the doors opened, I was being stared at by hundreds of me and Jack's loved ones, his teammates, my coworkers, my family, his family, everyone. But the only person I was looking at was Jack. Tears were filled in his eyes. "You look gorgeous baby." he told me. "Thank you." The priest started talking but I wasn't listening. I was thinking about my vows, which I had worked so hard to prepare. "The lovely couple have prepared their vows." I nodded at Jack to go first. "When I first met you in the 7th grade, when you moved to my town, I couldn't stop thinking about you. The first time I had talked to you, was freshman year of high school. I saw you crying in the hall and asked you what happened and if you were okay. You were hesitant to answer, but finally you opened up to me and told me that one of the guys I played hockey with had stood you up, and then kissed your best friend. I beat him up at practice that day. I vow to you that through this marriage, you will always feel like you are enough, and you will never be alone. I will always be there to wipe your tears and be the first one to call you beautiful. You will never have to go through anything alone. You will never worry that you are not loved, because believe me I will tell you everyday. I believe God sent you to me and that you are the one I'm destined to be with." The tears couldn't stop flowing down either of our cheeks as the priest handed us each a tissue, and we wiped our eyes. Jack signaled at me to start my vows. "Can't top that, but I'll try." I said, letting out a shaky laugh which signaled a laugh throughout the rows of people. "First of all, I want to say thank you for the 7 years of my life I've known you. The first 2 years we didn't talk, but what you don't know is how much happiness you provided me despite the fact that you didn't know I existed. Simply going to your games (which you didn't even I was at,) provided me with a shelter when I didn't have anyone else. Thank you for being the person I can go to in the toughest times of my life. Through this marriage and with this ring, I give to you my love, eternal commitment, and I promise to be with you through sickness and health, through better and worse, richer and poor. Thank you for accepting me, and thank you for opening your door to me the day I came over to your house my freshman year with snow in my hair and snot on my face. Thank you for being the missing piece of my puzzle. I love you." I whispered weakly and he smiled. "Repeat after me." the priest said to Jack and he nodded. "I, Jack Robert Eichel, take you, Y/F/N, to be my lawfully wedded wife." he repeats the words and the priest turns and looks at me. "I, Y/F/N, take Jack Robert Eichel to be my lawfully wedded husband." I repeat the words and the priest smiles. "By the power vested in me in the state of New York, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." he smiles at us and Jack pulls me into his arms, dipping me and kissing me on the lips. Cheers erupt in the church, and some whistles. Jack picks me up bridal style and we run out of the church, the last thing I see is Ryan O'Reilly popping a confetti popper until the last thing I see is the beautiful eyes of my h​usband. My husband. Y​a, that sounds about right.
