Dougie Hamilton (Carolina Hurricanes)

"Alex!" I yelled, chasing my nephew across threw the hallways of Scotiabank Saddledome. My nephew was about 4 feet tall, and of course like everyone in the arena, was dressed in a Gaudreau jersey. How the heck was I going to find the little brat? I kept running, and tears starting pooling up in my eyes, afraid I had lost him. I wiped my eyes and groaned when my smeared mascara had hit the sleeves of my Hamilton jersey. I started running again and ran into what felt like a brick wall. My 5'3" frame was being smothered by this probably 6'5" giant. I looked up, and kept looking up, and finally my eyes met.. Dougie Hamilton's eyes? What the hell is happening? "Umm, hi?" I muttered sheepishly. "Hi beautiful. Is this your son?" a blush appeared on my face, and I sighed in relief that he had found Alex. "If she says no, will that get her a date with you?" My 7 year old nephew asked and I blushed madly, and Dougie chuckled. "I'm his aunt." I said and he nodded. He set Alex down at my feet and I wrapped my arms around his small body. "Thank you so, so much Dougie. You have no idea how thankful I am that you found Alex. My sister would have flipped a shi- table over if she found out I lost him." I said quickly stopping myself from swearing in front of Alex and the attractive man I had just met. "So if he's not yours, does that mean your single?" he asked and I nodded, playing with my fingers. "So, could I take you out on a date sometime? Like after the game, like I mean on a different day. Sorry, crap never mind. It's okay if you don't want to. We could always like, just hang out as friends, I'd be okay with that too. Unless you don't want to be friends either, that would be awkward." he rambled and I stood on my tiptoes, stretching to kiss his cheek. "I'd love to go on a date with you." I whispered in his ear and he blushed. "Here, where's your phone? I'll type my number in." he told me and I grabbed my phone out of my back pocket. My eyes then widened, remembering that my background was indeed a picture of me in my Hamilton jersey, kissing a poster of him I had in my room. He looked over and saw it, cracking a smile. "It's official. Your the cutest fricken thing in the world." he told me and I blushed. "What about me?" Alex asked and we laughed. "You too, bud." Dougie said and Alex smiled proudly. "I'd love to stay and chat, but I have to get to the game. Hey buddy, how about I get you and your pretty aunt who's name I never got back into the locker room after the game? I'm sure the team would love to meet you." he said and Alex's eyes widened. "Oh my gosh! I would get to see Gio! And Johnny! And Sean! And Joe Colborne! And Karri Ramo! Wow! That would be awesome!" he said as his eyes kept widened after each player he mentioned. "That would be awesome, Dougie. Thank you so much." I said and he nodded pulling me into a hug. "By the way, it's Y/N." I said winking and walking away, grabbing Alex's hand and walking to our seats. Man, was this a story to tell at dinner tomorrow.
