requested by huggyhughes

A/N: heyyy!!! i'm back finally. i've been on a little bit of a hiatus because of writers block. now that hockey's back, my inspiration had come back!!! i'm so sorry if you've requested something forever ago. i promise i'll get to it as soon as i can. have a nice day/night!

"quinny, what if they don't like me?" you asked with your head on quinn's shoulder.

you had met your boyfriend quinn in vancouver at a canucks season ticket holder party. your father was a huge canucks fan and had season tickets. you decided to tag along with your father because you were the one accompanying him to a majority of the games anyway and that was were you met quinn hughes. you hit it off and he asked for your number which you gave to him. the rest is history.

at the moment, you were traveling to the hughes house in plymouth, michigan for a few weeks so quinn could visit his family and you could meet them. you would be an absolute fool if you were to say you weren't nervous. your silence was enough to tell quinn that you were afraid.

"kendall, you're gonna be fine. they're gonna love you." he whispered in your ear and kissed your forehead.

you looked down at the floor.

"quinn? can i ask you a question?"

"anything ken."

"why are you wearing crocs?" you asked with a smirk.

"oh this again." he groaned.

"quinn, you could've chosen any other shoe for an 8 hour flight, but you chose your crocs."

"yeah, comfort. the versatility of crocs is unmatched." quinn said.

"please tell me you brought other shoes." you begged.

"yes, i brought other shoes, my dearly beloved." he joked.

"they're so ugly." you looked up at his face.

"shh." he put his hand over your mouth.

8 hours later, the plane landed on the ground in detroit at 6:00 pm.

"my mom and dad are here to pick us up." quinn said.

you nodded, rubbing your eyes tiredly.

you were almost thankful that you were so tired from the flights. it had made your nerves go down.

you guys quickly grabbed your suitcases and made your way out into the detroit evening.

quinn placed his hand on your lower back, "over there kendall." he pointed with his other hand.

you looked up and saw the hughes parents looking around the airport for you and quinn. you nodded at quinn and he began to guide you over there.

"hi mom." quinn said.

quinn's mother turned and saw you guys.

"oh quinn, i missed you."

quinn brought his mother into a hug. you smiled at the sight as you stood awkwardly behind them.

"ah you must me kendall. we've heard so much about you." quinn's mom said.

you stuck out your hand to shake her hand, but she pulled you into a hug instead.

you saw that quinn had moved to talk to his father.

"it's so nice to finally meet you kendall. thank you for keeping quinn sane in vancouver. you help him more than you think." she said as she pulled away from the hug.

"it's no problem mrs. hughes. he can be a handful, but i do love him." you smiled.

"oh please kendall, call me ellen." she smiled back.

"it's nice to meet you ellen."

"it's nice to meet you too kendall. the boys are going to love you." ellen said with a comforting hand on your shoulder.

"i hope so." you laughed.

you moved to quinn's father.

you shine his hand, "kendall."

"jim."

"it's nice to meet you mr. hughes." you smiled.

"just jim please."

you nodded.

"let's get home now. i'm sure you're so excited to meet luke and jack." ellen said sarcastically.

"pieces of work." she mumbled under her breath.

you chuckled quietly as quinn made it back to your side.

"how are you doing sweetheart?" quinn whispered so only you could hear.

"i'm okay quinny."

he smiled, "good. see, i told you there was nothing to worry about."

"not so fast hughes, i have to get past your brothers now."

he rolled his eyes dramatically, "whatever. if i like you, my brothers are going to. there's nothing not to like." he smirked.

"quinn, shut the hell up."

he laughed loudly.

it was a short 30 minute drive to plymouth. you got in a quick power nap.

"sleepy head, wake up." quinn tapped your face.

you smacked his hand away and glared at him. he laughed once again.

"we're here."

you looked out the front car window and saw the hughes household.

"you're gonna be okay." quinn whispered in your ear with a smile.

he climbed out of the car and you followed close behind.

"oh look it's quinton." you heard a masculine voice.

you turned around with quinn to see that it was jack. your attention was taken away from jack to see luke stumbling out of the house.

quinn moved towards his brothers and gave them hugs.

"this is my girlfriend, kendall." quinn gestures towards you.

"boys be nice or you're not eating dinner tonight!" ellen yelled sarcastically from across the car.

luke and jack made a face at each other.

"mom, we're not animals!" luke yelled back.

"hey i'm luke." he shook your hand.

"jack." jack then shook your hand.

"kendall." you finally said.

"we've heard a lot about you kendall." jack smirked towards quinn.

"i hope all good things." you turned your head towards quinn.

"hey, you know i have nothing to complain about." quinn put up his arms in surrender.

luke suddenly made a noise of disgust. everyone's eyes went to him as he got on the driveway ground.

"quinn? crocs? bro, i thought you were better than that." luke said, getting up of the ground.

jack began laughing uncontrollably.

"dude, what are those? they're so ugly. this is what you spend your money on." he said with tears in his eyes from laughing.

"THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I SAID." you yelled out.

"you guys are rude to my crocs. you're disrespecting the croc." quinn said.

"dude said the versatility was unmatched. i was like 'bro have you tried nike?'" you said laughing.

jack and luke began to laugh even harder. jack and luke put their arms around your shoulder and began to pull you into the house.

"hey!" quinn yelled, "that's my girlfriend."

"you can have her back when you take off your crocs." luke said.

"kendall." quinn said.

you smiled mischievously and waved. quinn shook his head, but smiled.

he never doubted it for a second. he knew you were going to get along with his brothers. you fit right in.
