He has 3 religions: Hindu, Christian and Muslim.

I remember reading the novel for the first time, when I was in high school. The book appeared to be so monotonous and plain that I could not finish even the first half. 

But I can finally finish the book now, in another light this time.

I stayed in a Buddha temple for almost a week when I was 15.

I read a little about Muslim 2 years later, at the age of 17.

I moved to live next to a Christian church when I entered university and went to a church myself on a Sunday morning the following year. 

Ever since then, religions have found their ways to enter my life, despite not being too prominent, they surely are a part of it. I would think about them now and then, their doctrines, the meanings (if any) of life and such.

I can relate so much with Pi and his view on religions. 

Besides, I also really admire the work of translation by Trịnh Lữ. I have heard about him before but never actually read his version of The great Gatsby. However, based on the excellent performance he has shown via The life of Pi, I am sure that he could only do better than the version I have read. 

Maybe I will try reading his version some time, only if I run out of thing to read. Honestly speaking, I am not really an avid reader though.
