New Avengers

Tyler led everyone to the bar with Tony sling over his shoulder since he was unconscious, his armor barely recognizable.

"I could use a drink right about now." Falcon muttered as he went behind the counter to make himself a drink.

"So, uh, welcome to my house I guess." Tyler announced awkwardly as he carefully laid Tony down on one of the couches as if he was made of glass, sitting down on the other one facing him.

"Ow, my head feels like it got punched in by the Hulk." Tony groaned softly as he woke up, glancing over at his son as he slowly sat up.

"Take it easy Dad, you got beat to hell and back." Tyler warned.

"I'm fine, it's not the worst concussion I've had." Tony shrugged, tossing the remaining scraps of armor still attached to him behind the couch he was sitting on.

"What is it you wanted to talk about?" Sean prompted Peter nervously as he sat down by Tyler, Mark sitting on the other side of him while Robin and Felix stood behind the couch.

"Look son, I can't be a hero forever. I'm old, I can't do half of the things I used to be able to do." Peter sighed, suddenly looking ten years older to Sean as he looked into his eyes.

"It's time you started considering joining the Avengers and taking my place." Peter stated, tone tinged with heart-break.

"What?! There's no way!" Sean exclaimed in excitement.

"But Signe..." Sean added with a thoughtful frown.

"It's your choice." Peter reminded him gently.

"I...I don't know." Sean admitted as he ran a hand through his hair.

"We've all talked about this, and we believe that this is the best course of action." Steve chimed in.

"Wait, for Tyler and so too?" Mark interjected.

Steve nodded, Mark and Tyler frowning thoughtfully as they considered their options and the consequences they would have.

"I'll do it." Tyler decided hesitantly, self doubt flashing in his eyes.

"I know you'll do great son." Tony smirked, reaching over and ruffling his hair playfully.

"But I don't have powers, what would I do to help?" Mark huffed in irritation.

"Wait, the symbiote!" Mark remembered, looking over at Peter since he had it last.

"No way, I'm burning it the first chance I get." Peter answered without hesitation.

"But I can give you this." Steve spoke up, offering him his shield.

"Are...are you sure?" Mark asked in barely contained excitement that shone in his eyes.

"I know you'll make me proud." Steve nodded, tossing him the shield.

Mark caught it with one hand and looked at his reflection off of its surprisingly shiny surface, determination burning in his eyes.

"I'll do it." Mark declared, smiling as he first bumped his dad.

"And Sean?" Peter prompted.

"But Signe-"

"I'll have her flown over here and given everything she needs if that will change your decision." Tony offered.

"Will she be safe?" Sean asked worriedly.

"As long as you're in the city she will." Peter assured him.

"I guess I got nothing to lose since I quit college-"

"You what?!" Peter snapped, catching Sean off guard.

"I quit college." Sean repeated meekly, swallowing hard as he braced himself for the lecture he knew was coming.

"That's my boy!" Tony cheered, earning a glare from Peter.

"Hey good for you man." Falcon agreed, downing another shot of whatever he was drinking.

"I mean, uh, stay in school, don't do drugs and stuff." Tony corrected himself while shaking his head since Peter wasn't watching much to Sean's amusement.

"Honestly I'm not surprised, that college really does suck." Peter chuckled.

"Uh, about quitting college, I kinda quit too." Mark chimed in.

"Fair enough, I trust that you know what you want in life." Steve replied carelessly.

"So what's your decision?" Peter changed the subject.

Sean glanced between his friends and his dad, already knowing the decision he wanted to make.

"I can't."

"You can't?" Peter repeated in surprise.

"I want to live a normal life with Signe in a house with a dog and have kids together. I can't do any of that if I'm gone saving the world in a busy, crowded city." Sean explained.

"I understand, but are you sure?" Tony interjected.

"I'm positive." Sean nodded, looking down at his green gloved hand covered in black spiderwebs like his father's.

"I know you'll do great things no matter what you choose." Peter smiled sadly as he pulled Sean in for a hug.

"I love you." Sean whispered.

"I know." Peter replied with a weary sigh as he pulled away.

"So what are you going to do now?" Mark asked Sean.

"I'm gonna save he world in a different way." Sean promised with a grin.

Tony gave him enough money to move to Brighton with Signe and get a house, Felix moving with him while Robin went back to Sweden since they didn't have to live in the mansion.

Mark and Tyler went back to LA and rented a house together, making friends with a guy called Ethan.

While they were all different people with different powers, that all had one thing in common.

They were all the next generation that was going to save the world with their superpowers and influence in the internet since they all had channels.
