Newt: *rolls eyes* So how is coming out really that simple.

Tommy: You see, you just go, "Mom, Dad, I'm gay. You'll just have to learn to live with it."

Newt: Apparently you're not gay . . .

Tommy: Yes I am.

Newt: You . . . are?

Tommy: Yeah, and my parents were homophobic too. I just told them that they'd have to deal with it. It started out slowly, but eventually, they started to accept me.

Newt: So what you're saying is that I should go home and tell my parents that I'm me and that they have to accept it?

Tommy: Exactly!

Newt: . . . And it'll work?

Tommy: If your parents love you at all, it'll work.

Newt: Okay.
