His leave felt like it was going far too fast. He still had one week left but he knew it would end before it began.

Hotshot strayed from his thoughts as he smiled at the sight before him. He watched his mate gently play with their one week old as they sat on the floor.

Medix blew a raspberry into Starlight's tummy and then nuzzled her sweet chubby face as she giggled excessively.

Hotshot fell in love at the sight. He fell even harder when his mate cradled their sweet little femme and gave her a soft kiss to the forehelm.

Starlight was just the happiest little sparkling. Throughout her first week of life, she barely ever cried. She only cried when she needed something, like being fed.

Otherwise, she was quite the ray of sunshine. She loved getting attention. Especially from her uncle Wedge.

But what she loved the most was being loved by both of her parents.

And also taking her naps with her daddy.

Hotshot loved those naps too. He would always let Starlight recharge on his chestplates.

Preferably, over his spark. It helped soothe her.

Hotshot sometimes will pretend to recharge not only to soothe his daughter, but to see his mate walk into their room and almost pass out at the adorable sight.

Medix does the same thing too but instead of watching his mate pass out, he'll accidentally wake up their daughter from giggling too much after his goofy mate dives into the berth and snuggles his family.

Hotshot chuckled softly as his mate cooed to their daughter. This week was definitely one he'll remember.

Medix giggled as Starlight nuzzled him, "oh my! You're such a sweet and affectionate little femme! And do you know what happens to sweet and affectionate little femmes??"

Starlight immediately bursted out giggling as her mother gave her an excessive amount of the dreaded "mommy kisses."

Medix then gently layed her down on her little play mat and started tickling her.

A huge smile plastered his faceplates as Starlight happily giggled and kicked her little legs, "she's resisting! It seems like I'll need some backup. I'm calling in Daddy Big Dork!"

Hotshot wore a goofy smile as he plopped down onto the floor, "never fear! Backup is here!"

Hotshot then proceeded to tackle his mate, "I've got him Starlight! Run! Be free!!"

"Curses! I've been double crossed!", Medix said as Hotshot wrestled him.

Starlight giggled as she watched her parents playfully wrestle each other.

Hotshot then pinned his mate to the ground, "victory is mine! Now I shall take my damsel in distress!"

Starlight couldn't stop giggling as her daddy took her into his strong arms and nuzzled her sweet face.

Just then, Whirl and Hoist came through the groundbridge with their arms around each other. They then looked over to see the little family playing with each other.

"Why is Medix on the floor?", Whirl asked while giggling.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm dead!", Medix said as he remained on the floor.

Hotshot snorted softly as he cradled his daughter, "what's up guys? You telling us that you two are finally getting married?"

Hoist rolled his optics playfully as Whirl giggled at his side, "no-"

"Then whatever you have to say is irrelevant. Come back when you two finally get engaged", Hotshot smirked.

"The Recruits wish to see both of you", Whirl said.

Medix immediately shot up, "all of them???"

"Yep!"

"Do they want us to bring Starlight too???"

"Only if you want to bring her", Hoist said, "either way, they really want to see you."

"Honey!", Medix turned to Hotshot, "Get the baby carrier!!"

Hotshot uncovered Starlight's audios, "babe you don't have to yell. I'm right here."

"In which you shouldn't be. You should be getting the baby carrier!", Medix demanded.

Hotshot immediately handed Starlight to his mate and then booked it out of the room.

Whirl chuckled as she and Hoist approached their friend, "wow. You've got him on such a short leash! What's your secret??"

"I keep up the illusion that I'm still sparked. It works every time! At least until he remembers that my mood swings are gone."

"Good to know honey!", Hotshot said as he walked in the room wearing the baby carrier, "now let's go and see the recruits."

"PROFESSOR MEDIX!!"

Medix bursted out laughing as he was tacklehugged by his beloved students.

Hotshot stepped through the groundbridge at that moment, chuckling softly as Starlight giggled in her baby carrier, "not even one step through and you've already been attacked!"

"I guess now we all know who the favorite teacher is", Hoist joked.

He and Whirl bursted out laughing at Hotshot's offended look.

Medix laughed happily as the team of recruits hugged him tightly, "well hello to you too Cosima, Hollow, Blue Screen, Scarlet Moon, and Iron Bolt! I've surely been missed!"

"Well, you're our favorite teacher Professor Medix!", Scarlet giggled.

"Well actually... we like the other professors too", Blue said sheepishly.

Cosima elbowed him, "but we still missed you so much!"

Medix smiled sweetly as he hugged the team of recruits, "I've missed all of you too."

Hotshot turned to Whirl and Hoist as Medix hugged the recruits, "where are the other teams? I thought they missed Medix too."

"Oh they do!", Whirl spoke up, "They're just attending their classes at the moment."
"Plus, they're all younger than this team and we thought it would be better for Starlight to meet recruits with some experience", Hoist said.

Hotshot looked over at his mate who was happily talking with the recruits, "that's... actually really smart. Thanks guys."

Hoist and Whirl smiled as they parted ways from Hotshot.

Hotshot approached the team and his mate as they talked with each other. He then looked down and smiled at his daughter who looked at them curiously.

Medix giggled as the recruits kept asking him questions.

"How long were you in labor for??"

"Did it hurt??"

"Would you have another sparkling??"

"Can we retake our test?"

"Was Coach Hotshot with you the whole time??"

"Oh my goodness!", Medix interrupted, "one at a time ple-"

Suddenly, the team of recruits let out a loud gasp when they finally noticed Hotshot with Starlight in the baby carrier.

"Is that her??? Is that Starlight??", the recruits exclaimed.

"It is!", Hotshot said as Starlight looked over at the recruits.

"Do you all want to see her?", Medix asked.

"Yes please!", the recruits cheered as they followed their teachers out of the room toward the break area.

"Mommy's got you sweetie", Medix cooed as he gently took Starlight out of the baby carrier and into his arms.

Hotshot watched his mate show their sparkling to their students as he took off the baby carrier. He started giggling as he watched the recruits awe at the little femme.

Starlight became a little shy as the recruits got a little closer, eventually hiding her face in her mother's chestplates when they got too close for comfort.

"Aww! She's shy!", Scarlet said sweetly.

"Trust me, she's not. It's all an act", Medix said as he tickled Starlight's tummy, "she actually loves attention."

Starlight bursted out giggling as her mother continued to tickle her. She then began to coo happily at the recruits once her mother stopped tickling her.

"Ohh my gosh! She's so cute!!!"

"She's so adorable!!"

"Look how chubby and precious she is!!"

"Is that a star birthmark on her upper left cheekplate?"

"Wait what??"

All the recruits immediately got a good look at the birthmark, "it is!"

Hotshot and Medix bursted out laughing.

"Yep! Pretty neat, huh?", Hotshot chuckled.

"Is that why you named her Starlight?", Hollow smirked.

"Guilty as charged", Hotshot said as Starlight played with his large digit.

Cosima smiled as she approached the little family, "can we hold her, please?"

"Of course sweetie", Medix said happily, "just as long as you're all careful with her."

Cosima's faceplates lit up as Starlight was carefully handed to her, "yes ma'am."

Hotshot snickered as he watched the recruits gush over his daughter.

He then started wheezing when his mate gave him a look, "what's the matter baby? Don't like the Recruits being polite to you?"

"I can't believe you've gotten them to start calling me "ma'am" too."

"You're welcome!", Hotshot said as he cheekily wrapped his arm around his mate and brought him in close.

Medix rolled his optics playfully as he leaned into his mate.

The parents then smiled as they watched each of their sweet students interact with their precious little femme.

Then, suddenly, the door slid open revealing Wedge along with the other teams of recruits behind him. All of them had excitement written on each of their faceplates.

But none of them were as excited as the giant orange construction bot.

"UNCLE WEDGE IS HERE!!", Wedge yelled as Starlight immediately perked up at his voice, "Where's my favorite little niece???"

"NOPE", Hotshot said as he immediately booted his best friend out of the room and locked the door.
