Lily sat in the Starbucks waiting for Ben. "Hey, Lils."  He said as he sat down next to her. "Hey, Ben. What did you want to meet me about?" "Do I need a reason to just visit my lovely girlfriend in a coffee shop."

"I have an order for... Moose?" "Yes you do and that's my order so I'll be right back." Ben started laughing. He knew that his girlfriend loved to come up with the most absurd names whenever her order was called.

Lily came and sat back down. "Alright so what is it?" "I was wondering if you would come to the Tuck Everlasting reunion concert with me." "Sure."

Days had passed and the reunion concert had snuck up on both Lily and Ben. They were excited but for two totally different reasons.

"Alright, Lils. I gotta be there early so meet me in the wings?" "I know and I'll bring my violin because Andrew told me that I'm playing with the band/orchestra tonight."

"Okay, love you L." "Love you too." With that Ben departed his plan being set into action. He entered the theater with a smile on his face. "Alright Carolee and Micheal you guys know what you have to do, right?" "Yup." They chorused smiling. 

"Andrew, you do Andrew and make sure you convince Lily to go on for Carolee." "You got it, I'm so excited. You two are like the Broadway power couple." Andrew said. Ben blushed.

"Sarah, you remember to grab the box from my dressing room and to bring it back onstage got it?" "Got it. Good luck Ben. I'm sure she'll say yes." "I sure hope so."

Eventually everyone was getting ready and the theater was filling up. Lily was up in the wings with her violin in hand getting ready to tell Ben good luck for when he came out then run back to the pit.

"Heyyyy, Lily. I need a really really big favor. We need you to go on for Carolee for the first song we're doing tonight. "Oh no! Is she sick or hurt?" Lily asked looking past Andrew. "No she's fine. She just running late and don't worry about the song since you know all of the songs." "What am I singing?" "You'll know by opening chord. You know the choreography too so good luck and get out there. "

' I wonder why Andrew was acting so weird. Oh well, he's probably just nervous... but since when has Andrew ever been nervous?' Lily thought as she got out on stage. She smiled when she saw Sarah. "Hey kiddo, it's been a while." "You know I'm not a kid anymore, right?" Sarah asked while giggling.

"I know it feels like just yesterday was spending night." Lily said fondly. "Alright let's get ready."

The curtain came up and everyone began cheering. "What if I start to forget it?" Sarah or 'Winnie' asked. "Impossible. Besides your best memories haven't even happened yet." "Ya think?" Sarah asked. "I know."

"Every grown woman who stands at a mirror remembers one beautiful day. every girl past her prime knows the date and the time she looked most exquisite and she will revisit, revisit, revisit that day her most beautiful day for the rest of her life my most beautiful day, Pa took me dancing; everything fell into place my hair tied like so with a blackberry bow; a night in November that I will remember, remember, remember that day... my most beautiful day for the rest of my life each memory a sweet melody the heart clings to each passing day what time takes away the heart makes new. Looking back, looking back is something to look forward to... your most beautiful day for the rest of your life. " Lily sang as the cast danced around her. 

Ben came on stage instead of Micheal. Lily was glad because she kind of didn't want to kiss a guy who was like a dad to her. "April, May, June, July. A Sunday when the chapel's free. true love is in short supply.  " He sang. The music began to slow down, which wasn't  in the score but Lily just went with it and looked into Ben's eyes. "Lily, you are the most incredible person I have ever met." He said. 'Wait.... this isn't in the script...'  Lily thought as he continued. 

"For the past three years you have made me the happiest man on this planet. You are perfect in every single way. You know how to make me laugh and smile when I'm feeling down. You make the worst puns in the most serious of situations but I wouldn't have it any other way." Ben said while chuckling. "You complete me and I want to spend the rest of our lives together." At this point Lily had been silently crying tears of joy. She realized that this was unscripted. 

Ben then pulled out the box and opened it, to which the audience gasped and so did Lily. "Darling Lils.... marry me!" He said. Lily just nodded her head in shock. "Yes." Ben embraced her then kissed her. The crowd went wild. Everyone was taking pictures and videos and it was a sweet moment for everyone in the theater. 

Hello, hello, hello lovely fansies. I didn't post a chapter because the next chapter is really long and I wanted to build some anticipation but it'll probably be out later tonight or early tomorrow morning. I hope you enjoyed this little one-shot it's just to tie you over until the next chapter and I just thought it was a sweet idea that would be cute. I've decided since all my Newsies x OC stories have been in the past, I'm sure you're wondering oh weird author that happens to write the book(s) we read what do you mean? I've decided to write another story, because I have no social life and am sad and lonely (see that Tuck Everlasting quote I used just there ;}) I'm going to write a Ben Cook x OC or Josh Burrage x OC in present times.
