Third person's P.O.V.

"Will you at least tell me where we're going?" Evalina asked. "We're going.... to explore." Josh said. "Really?" Evalina deadpanned. Eventually they stopped at Schmackarys. "You abducted me to bring me to a cookie shop?" "Not just any cookie shop, the cookie shop." Sky contradicted. Eva sighed. They entered and each of them ordered. Eva got the cookies and cream, Ben got funfetti, Josh got some weird cookie sandwich, and Sky got chocolate chip. They all sat down and ate their cookies.

Suddenly Eva's phone buzzed. She was about to pick it up when Josh stole her phone. "Ooh, who's texting Evie?" There were only three possibilities: Ben, Uncle J, or Ana. And Eva hoped it wasn't Ben.

"Who's Ben? Your boyfriend?" Josh asked. A flicker of hurt and jealous flashed through Ben's face almost unnoticeable, almost. "Its none of your business, don't you know it's rude."

"You're not denying it." Josh continued. "I'm in liberty to not have to answer that question. I have a right to my own privacy. Now hand me the phone so I can read and respond." Evalina said getting upset.

She barely knew these boys and it's none of their business. "'Can you come at 10:50 instead, my friends want to meet you?' Is this Ben guy your boyfriend?" Josh continued. Evalina had had enough.

She snatched her phone out of Josh's hand. "Its none of your business now is it?" She stormed out of the cookie shop walking home.

Ben's P.O.V.

"I think you pushed her too hard, bro." I said. To say Josh felt bad was an understatement, he felt downright guilty. "I shouldn't have pried." Josh replied. "Just send her a text and apologize." Sky said.

"I'm not sure she's gonna forgive so easily." Josh said. "I'm sure she was just stressed. She'll forgive you." Sky contradicted.

"How about I text her." The two of them looked at me like I was crazy. "Hear me out, I can ask if she's still mad and then Josh can text her." Josh nodded and gave me her phone number. We all decided to go back to our hotel. I told Sky and Josh that I wanted to go for a walk.

I took out my phone and put in Evalina's contact. I'll text her when I'm done walking. I continued and began walking back, taking a detour through a nearby park. It was empty. At least I thought it was.

I was passing by the swing sets when I saw a girl. Upon further inspection I realized it was Evalina. I walked over to her. She looked lost in thought.

"You okay?" She looked up startled. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just my parents don't want me to go on tour." "Why?" She gave a sad, small, smile. "Because I taint our family line. I'm the imperfection they can never get rid of."

I looked at her confused. She was anything but imperfect. "I don't understand." I said. "I'm the mistake in my family, the black sheep. I'm held to higher standards I have to be perfect and my parents think me running away to travel the country is rebellious and will cause bad slander towards our name. My family despises me." She choked the last part out.

"How could your own loved ones.... do that to you?" I choked out. The thought of it simply made me want to cry. My family is so loving and supporting.

"They think that I'm bad for their perfect image. They all have blonde hair, green eyes, are tall. The perfect family image. Then there's me. I'm the exact opposite and my brother, my dad, and mom hate me for it."

I sat there shocked. We sat in silence for a few moments when Eva broke it. "Tell Josh I'm sorry for snapping with him. I just... don't want to be hated. He reminded me of an old friend who betrayed me. I'm not used to sharing everything and with the stress of deciding to go on tour and probably get disowned by my parents, it's just been a lot."

She stood up and dusted her lap off. "You should get going, goodnight, Ben." I don't know what got into me but I shot out of the swing and hugged her.

I felt her tense within my grasp but after a few moments of silence she relaxed into the hug.

"Thank... you." She didn't hug back but I could tell that she was sincere. I let go and she began walking away when she stopped. "Ben... please don't tell the others, you can tell Josh and Sky but that's it." She began walking away, eventually disappearing into the darkness. I walked back to our hotel too, prepared to answer many many questions.

Evalina's P.O.V.

I began walking away so shocked as to what happened. He just hugged me.... and I was fine with it. Was it just my moment of vulnerability allowing me to forget my fear and be comforted? Or was it that I needed to be comforted? Or was it that the hug was full of warmth and not cold and robotic? Did Ben know I don't like being touched?

These thoughts were running through my mind as everything replayed over and over again. I walked into my room and sat down on the bed. I checked my phone.

One missed call from Father

It's time to face him... it's now or never.
