Date: November 28, 2014 

3rd Person P.O.V.

Last night Evalina and the boys dresser for their dressing room set up Nico's station. Evalina left his birthday gift, which was a drawing of him in character and a jar filled with his favorite candies and a jar filled with notes from fans. 

The next morning she was coming to the theater to see Jeff when she ran into a girl. "I'm so sorry about that, I wasn't looking where I was going are you okay?" Evalina stuttered out nervously as she stood up from the ground offering a hand to the girl. As she grabbed the offered hand and stood up she realized she was taller than her by a good amount. Evalina stood there for a moment taking in more of her features.  She had golden blonde hair in a french braid and crystal clear blue eyes, this girl was ridiculously beautiful. "It's fine. Don't worry so much, I'm just on my way to my new job. My name is Katie, Katie Marie. How about yourself?" She asked Evalina. Shy at first but slowly becoming more confident in her words. 

"I'm Evalina. Pleasure to meet you. Sorry about bumping into you." She stuttered out rubbing the back of her neck nervously. Evalina was in black jeans and an oversized captain america sweater. Her hair was piled onto her head in a bun and she had her contacts and glasses on. Katie on the other hand was dress in a nike shirt and addidas pants carrying a duffel bag. "I already told you it's fine. Accidents happen." Katie said cheerily. There was an awkward silence for a moment. "Well, have a good day." Evalina said bowing her head slightly before walking towards her initial destination. After five minutes she noticed that there were a pair of footsteps going in the same direction as her. Coincidence? Stalker? Weirdo? Creeper? Kidnapper? Or one of the cast? 

She turned around to see it was Katie. Katie had her phone right in front of her face appearing slightly lost. Evalina paused in front of her deciding to help her out. She tapped her on the shoulder, slightly startling Katie. "You look lost. Do you need directions or some help?" She asked. "Actually... that would be nice." She hesitated at first but smiled at the brunette. "So where are you headed?" Evalina asked fidgeting with her fingers. "Oh, I'm headed to the Benedum theater." This shocked Evalina. ' Is this why Uncle Jeff wanted me to come early? New cast member?' "Are you joining the Newsies touring cast?" She asked curiously. Katie nodded enthusiastically. "Yup! I'm the new standby for Katherine!" She said enthusiastically "I thought that was Molly Jobe's job?" Evalina said. "Oh, I'm also apart of them ensemble." Katie said. "Ohhh, that makes more sense. Gina and the others will be happy there's a new Girlsie." She noted quietly to herself. 

"Follow me." Evalina said. "So how'd you guess I was in Newsies?" Katie asked curiously. "You're carrying around a dance bag plus it's at the theater." Evalina replied shrugging. "Are you a fansie or something?" She asked. "Not exactly." "Then what do you do?" "I'm the photographer. Plus my Uncle is the director." She said. "Ohhh, so you're Jeff got you the job?" She asked. Evalina was slightly irked by what she said. "No, he had no idea I was joining. I was looking for some jobs and I got contacted by Disney and some of the producers saying they liked my work then I sent them my portfolio, that's how I got in. Not favoritism or nepotism." Evalina said snapping more than she meant to. "Oh, sorry if I offended you, I just thought..." Katie said quietly feeling bad about how inconsiderate her words were. "No it's fine." Evalina said with a sigh. "Just a common misconception. "

Throughout the walk Katie warmed up to Evalina, a lot. She felt naturally drawn to her kind demeanor. "Looks like we're here. Do you have your pass?" She asked Katie. The blonde nodded her head enthusiastically some stray hairs falling out of her braid. They went to the stage door and knocked waiting for someone to let them in. It was the guard. "Hey Pete." Evalina said with a smile to the older man. "Hey, kiddo. Who's your friend?" He asked. Pete had been working at this theater for over two decades. "New cast member. Her names Katie." Evalina explained. "Nice to meet ya." Pete said. Katie gave him a shy smile and a wave before they continued on their way. "Alright you can go to the stage. Just go down the hallway take two lefts then a right and you'll find yourself on the left wing. I have to go set my stuff down." Evalina said with a small smile before walking off to where her things were. 

Katie's P.O.V.

I smiled slightly at Evalina before taking her directions and going to the stage. As I was taking the second to last turn when she bumped headfirst into someone. "Oof!" I said as I rubbed my forehead. The other person seemed disoriented as well. "Sorry about that." They mumbled. As I looked at them my mouth hung open. They were absolutely beautiful. He had messy dark blonde curls piled up on his head, bright blue eyes, and freckles all over his face. I felt a blush creep on my face. I quickly closed my mouth realizing I probably looked stupid. I noticed him look at me with a confused expression. "I'm sorry but I don't think you work here." He said hesitantly. "I've never seen you around here? Do you work here? Or did you sneak in because otherwise I'm going to have to ask security to escort you out." He said. 

"Umm, no I'm here for my job. I'm the new ensemble member." I said nervously, twirling my hair and keeping my head down out of habit. He must've realized who I was because recognition. "Oh! You must be Katie. Nice to meet you! Sorry about that, we've had some warnings about crazy fans sneaking in." He apologized. I smiled slightly. He's so cute! Wait! Katie, you can't like someone the first time you meet them! Have you heard of love at first sight? I shook away the thoughts as the two sides of my conscious were fighting against each other. 

"It's fine...." I trailed off realizing I didn't know his name. "Oh! My name is Ben, Ben Cook. Sorry about that, I'm a little scatterbrained, it is early in the morning." He, Ben, said with a chuckle. I smiled, I could listen to him all day. That probably sounds weird. Back in track. "Could you show me to the stage?" I asked politely. "I would bu-" that's when a red headed boy came tumbling into Ben. "Hey Ben what's taking you so long? It's not that hard to find Lin-who are you?" He asked as soon as he saw her there. Ben got him lightly giving him a look.

"What!" Sky asked. I giggled slightly at their behavior. "Katie meet Sky, Sky this is our new cast member Katie." Realization seemed to dawn on Sky ( a/n:heh... heh... weather pun 😂 I need to stop) as he took a closer look. "Ohhhh, nice to meet you. I'm sorry about that. Well, since Ben is here I guess he'll show you to the stage and I'll go get our Cheshire of a photographer." Ben and I looked at him confused. "What! She always manages to disappear and reappear. Maybe since she calls me Skybelle we should call her Repunzel because she's always in her perch or just not there." He mumbled. "We'll work it out." He said with a laugh. "Since you two look busy I'll just go get Lina." He said, winking at Ben before waltzing away. "Wai-" Ben tried calling out but Sky was already gone.

Ben smiled at me awkwardly. "We should get going." He said with a slight laugh. We made our way to the stage making small talk. I found out that Ben and I had a lot in common. We both were in Billy Elliot, but I was in the London cast, we both love dancing, and our first musical was Spring Awakening. Ben was about half an inch taller than me, I realized when one of the boys from the cast pointed it out. "Is everyone here?" Mr. Calhoun asked.

"No, Evie and Skybelle are on there way." A boy with really dark hair and bright blue eyes said. I recognized him as Nick Masson from the Newsies Instagram. "I guess we'll wait." We waited about two minutes when all of a sudden we heard shouts of protest. " Skylar whatever your middle name is Flaherty! Put me down! I need to get my cartridge! "

Ben's P.O.V.

We were waiting for Sky and Evalina to come in when we all heard her telling at Sky causing most of us to laugh. "Skylar whatever your middle name is Flaherty! Put me down! I need to get my cartridge!" " it's Edward and I have it in my hand. " Sky said while laughing. We all turned out attention to the left wing as we saw Sky carrying a struggling Evalina. "Fine." She said as she pouted. Sky just smiled. I felt a pang of jealousy. Wait... Jealousy? But I'm not the jealous type. But seeing Evalina getting carried by Sky and the two of them laughing and smiling made me want to be in his place or to go Rio her out of his grasp. I shook my head trying to rid myself of the thoughts.

3rd Person P.O.V.

"Out me down I have to take pictures." " No. " "But I have a job to do." Evalina pleaded. "Fine but only if you... I'll come up with something. Ooh! I know! you have to do three things." "That's kind of unfair. I just want to do my job which is what I get paid for." Evalina said pouting. "Uncle Jeff you're not going to help me out?" She pleaded. Jeff just chuckled "you heard him." He said with a smile. It was nice seeing Evalina interact with at least one of the boys for longer than two minutes .

She grunted in frustration. "Fine. What is it?" Sky out her down for a minute and whispered them so only she could hear. Evalina's face paled as she heard his requests. A look of fear on her face. "But..." "No buts. Either that or you can't do you job." Evalina gulped before nodding. Sky smiled the set her down. She hurriedly went over to Jeff C. waiting for the announcement. "Alright everyone. As we said we've been looking for another ensemble member. so everyone welcome Katie Marie." Katie smiled shyly and gave a slight wave.

" Alright everyone introduce yourselves and one thing you like to do or something you like and before anyone asks no you can not say dancing or singing or acting or musicals. " Jeff C. deadpanned.

"Hi I'm Nick and I like... to eat." He said with a laugh. " I'm Ben and I like Schmackary's cookies. " "Hey! That's what I was gonna say!" Jacob shouted . "I've never met someone who thinks so much like me! Jinx! Jinx again! Our mental synchronization has but only one explanation." " You! " "and I" "Were just meant to be!" Ben and Jacob sang with others joining in. Everyone laughed and they continued their introductions.

"I'm Sky and I love Aladdin." " I'm Dan and I love dogs and Evalina." he said pulling her into a hug. "Don't we all." Stephanie said with a laugh. " I'm Evalina and I like photography... " "that doesn't count that's your job." Nico shouted. "Fine... I love... this cast and youtube... a lot." She mumbled . "Awwww, we love you and youtube too!" And variations of such were exclaimed .

"Alright now that we all know who everyone is.... Ben! Why don't you give Katie a quick tour with Sky and Evalina." They all agreed and After Evalina taking many pictures she walked over to Ben and Sky. She sighed walking over. "I don't wanna walk." she grumbled when she was there. "Then don't." Ben suggest with a laugh. " and how do you expect me to do that. " she said playfully glaring.

Ben internally cheered. This was the most she had willingly talked to him in a month, sad isn't it. All the boys were internally cheering deciding not to bring it up so they didn't jinx it. But what they don't know is that this was all because of Sky's deal with her. "I'm gonna let her ride on my back. Part of the deal three things in return for three things." Sky said with a smirk. Ben scowled slightly in jealousy but quickly covered it up.

" You know that wasn't apart of the deal" Evalina said with a slight scowl. "I'm just tired because I was up late last night working. Katie overheard the last part as she was walking over. "Why do you have to work late at night?" She asked confused. "Princess Evie here has a second job." "Princess?" Evalina asked turning to Ben as she rubbed her eyes, tired. 'She's so cute!' He thought. "Oh! Uh Sky and I were trying to figure out what your princess name would be since he's 'Skybelle.'" Ben said nervously. Evalina simply shrugged turning her attention back to Sky.

"Oh come on you know you want to." He said wiggling his eyebrows. Evalina shook her head. " No! Plus I'm a huge potato you probably can't even lift me. " Evalina said trying to avoid the situation. Katie watched confused as Evalina and Sky argued about her getting on his back. "Is this a common occurrence?" Katie asked turning to Ben. "It used to be." He said with a sad smile. " What do you mean? " Katie asked intruiged. "For the past month Evalina has been so anxious and burying herself in her work. She would barely talk to us and would barely eat or sleep. This is the longest we've all been in a room with her. She'll leave for days sometimes. Everyone's worried about her but at least today she seems to be happy." Ben said quietly as Evalina and Sky argued. Eventually it resulted in her in Sky's back.

" Light as a cloud. " he said with a smile. Evalina gave him a look as she adjusted her glasses. "I thought it was light as a feather." She deadpanned . "Well since I'm sky and not a bird it's light as a cloud." Sky said proudly almost as if he had just solved one of the hardest math problems in the world. Evalina shook her head at him but laughed lightly. "Alright, let's get this tour started." Sky said Evalina clapped her hands when he made the gesture making all four of them laugh. "So here is where all of our props are. Remember never touch a prop that's not your own." Ben said as he gestured to the shelf. " I always have trouble remembering that rule. " Evalina said with a laugh.

"What do you mean?" Katie asked curiously. " Well sometimes when people are out and we don't have enough swings or standbys she'll step in. She's an unofficial cast member. Then she's does pictures as well. " Sky said. "Katie, Ben get together so I can take a quick picture." Evalina said. The two of them nodded Katie and Ben stood next to each other and Ben decided since they looked slightly uncomfortable he wrapped one arm around her shoulder. What he didn't know was it was quite the opposite and caused Katie's face to decrypt in red.

For the next thirty minutes the four of them went around to dressing rooms, shortcuts, and the front of the theater. When the tour was over everyone dispersed to their designated dressing rooms. When Sky and Ben went in they smiled seeing Nico's station. "So Sky what were the three requirements for you to put Evalina down?" " She had to stop ignoring us and avoiding us, she had to tell me why she was doing it, and she had to take me, Ben, and Josh with her next time she had to leave because of her other job. " Sky said triumphantly. All the boys were surprised. "What! you all know she wouldn't have told us willingly." Sky reasoned. "What's the catch?" Nick asked. " I can't tell anyone her reasoning. " Sky said slightly sad. "But it's better than not having her around us at all for the next two years." He said. "I agree. But you know what she didn't say. That none of could find out or that you couldn't give us hints." Josh said with a smirk. "You guys are unbelievable." Jeff said with a laugh.
