3rd Person P.O.V.

"Fight call! I repeat get to stage for fight call!" Echoed through all the dressing rooms. All the ensemble members made their way to the stage for any stunts and to practice the fight scene. Everyone was running to the stage. It was a regular matinee for the newsies just a little bit more quiet.

They began practicing the scene with them joking around. "I love fight call." Josh said to Nico. "Why?" Nico asked. "Because we get to hang out with the oldies. Most of the time they don't like when we're in their dressing rooms." Josh said getting ready to jump from the incoming barrel with Anthony inside.

Ben was busy on the other side pulling Chaz up from the ground after he had been 'shoved '. That's when he spotted it. Familiar brown hair tied up in a high ponytail. They were talking to the one of the oldies. Just to be sure it was her he waited to see if she'd pull out a camera. The girl did so snapping a picture of the oldsies. They laughed then she walked off the stage.

Ben, while helping Jack fight one of the oldsies, paused the fight. "Jack I think I just saw Evalina." "You're probably just hallucinating, Jeff said she be here in two to three days." Jack reasoned. "Yeah but it's been two days." "Then where is she now?" Jack asked. Ben pointed to an area close by only to see nothing but air. "I swear she was just there." He groaned. "Don't worry, we all miss her too." Jack said. Eventually fight call was over and everyone went back to their dressing rooms. The boys had their door closed as some of them were still changing. 

"Ouch! Who leaves a foam roller in the middle of the hallway!" They heard someone shout from the hallway. Everyone looks around and Sky looks up bashfully. "That would probably be mine. I'll go get that." He says. Sky quickly made his way to the door just in time to catch who tripped on it. "You should really keep track of your stuff Skybelle. I don't want to brake anything." They said with a laugh. Sky looked at the person shocked. "Evalina?" He choked out. "Why do you sound so surprised to see me? I mean, I work here." She said as she began walking away. The others didn't hear their conversation as most of them were listening to their own music or the loud music resounding throughout the room. "B-but. You were gone. For two days! Without a word to any of us." Sky protested. He poked her face to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. 

"I have more than one job you know, I don't solely work for Newsies." She said bluntly. "Not even a phone call?" Sky asked. "I left my phone in my room when I left because I forgot it. " Evalina shrugged. "I'm going to go get some more pictures of the oldies." She said waving to Sky as she walked away. While Evalina didn't show it but she was very nervous. She was going to start slowly cutting her ties with them. She knew it would hurt her more than them. She sighed as she made her way to hang out with the oldsies. She knocked on the door and Kevin Carolan opened the door. "Hey, Kevin." "Hey, Eva. What brings you here?" 

"Thought I'd hang out with the 'oldsies' today and post about you guys it'll be an 'oldsies' appreciation day." Evalina said with a smile. "Plus I've been told it's not fair I'm always 'doting' on the boys and in their dressing room. So tonight I'm going to be in Dan and Jacob's. Then I'll do the girls next show and so on until it comes full circle." Evalina said with a smile. "Are you guys enjoying tour?" She asked as she sat down in a spare chair by the door. "How are you guys enjoying tour?" "It's fun. We get to travel doing what we love." Bill Bateman said. "Meh, it's like we're being paid to be chaperones for adult children." Micheal Gorman says. "You know you secretly love it." Evalina said with a smile. "We do, plus it's nice to get to bug them too, and pull the occasional prank." Mark Aldrich said. 

"Wait, what? You guys pull pranks on them?" Evalina asked surprised. "Oh yeah, one time we replaced their deodorant with cream cheese." Steve said coming the door in his Pulitzer outfit. "What? You guys.... since when?" Evalina asked. "We don't do it very often, the funniest part is that they think it was someone else in the ensemble." Bill says with a laugh. "Oh my gosh." Evalina said laughing.  "Next time you guys prank someone I'll help."

Meanwhile in the boys dressing room...

Sky stopped the music playing in the room. "Guys, Evalina's back." " Jeff said she'd be here tomorrow. " Chaz said stretching. "But I just saw her." Sky said. " stop pranking us, Sky. I get it, you're still upset about the deodorant thing. " Nico replied. "No, I'm serious. She be was just at the door she said she was going to visit the oldsies." Sky said. " I believe Sky. I swear I saw her earlier today but Jack said I was hallucinated." Ben said. When the boys finally realized that she was probably back they all ran to the Oldsies' dressing room to hear laughing. 

Josh knocked on the door. Steve opened it. "Hey boys. What can I do for you?" He asked. " Hey guys! " Michael , Mark, and Bill, exclaimed. "What brings you here?" Bill asked. "Oh ya know just... visiting." Josh said. Chaz, Josh, and Sky shuffled in. Evalina had her earphones in as she was looking through her camera.

They smiled. Sky crept behind her. Evalina, having music blasting didn't suspect a single thing. Sky and Josh positioned themselves in either side of her. The quickly grabbed one of her legs and one of her arms. Startled, Evalina pulled out her earbuds. "Well, it was nice visiting. We're just going to take back What a ours. Bye!" Sky said. They ran her out of the room. Evalina mouthed help to the oldsies. They all chuckled. Steve smiled then winked at her. This causes Evalina to blush, knowing he was referring to their previous conversation.

The newsies brought her to their dressing room. "What are you guys doing?" she asked with an irked expression. "You're gone for two days, without a word to us and you ask us what we're doing?" Sky asked. " We thought you got kidnapped or worse. " Jordan said. "I'm sorry, it was a work emergency. I had to go and in the midst of everything I forgot my phone. I'm sorry I worried you all." Evalina said.

The others sighed. "It's fine. We're just glad you're not dead in a basement." Jeff said. Everyone gave him a look while Evalina just laughed at the look on their faces. " What? It's happened in books before. " Jeff said. The others just shook their heads. "five minute call. This is your five minute call." Rang through the theater. Evalina took a few pictures then began her way to one of the empty dressing rooms.

She was suddenly stopped as she felt an arm on her shoulder. She jumped up and then turned around. It was Ben.... Platt. Wait! What was he doing here? !?!?! Evalina gave him a weird look. "What are you.... doing in Connecticut?" "I don't really know. Just thought I'd visit you know. Like tell you about Dear Evan Hansen and such. Pitch Perfect. The usual."

"Oh cool. So how have you been." Evalina asked causally. " Pretty good. We won a tony. " "Aww I'm so proud of you guys." Evalina gushed.

She was suddenly stopped as she felt an arm on her shoulder. She jumped and turned around. It was Ben. "Hey Ben. You gonna go warm u-mmph." She was interrupted by Ben pulling her into a fight hug. He hurried his head into the crook of her neck. "I was so worried when you left. You, you never came back or showed up. We thought something bad would happen." He said his eyes watering. Evalina suddenly felt increasingly more guilty after the shock wore off.

She slowly hugged him back. "I'm sorry I worried you." Ben held her right afraid she would disappear any moment. They stood there for a few minutes simply hugging each other. Then they heard the overture. They both released. the two of them had light pink dusting their cheeks. "You better get to places." She said. " I'll see you during the show. " he said waving.
