3rd Period P.O.V.

"What do you mean she just... disappeared?!?!" Ben asked. "I'm telling you, one minute she's there then the next... POOF! She's gone." Sky replied. 

Two hours prior...

"Yeah, she was acting really weird and she had her backpack with her." Sky told the others. Nico, Chaz, Jeff, Josh, and DeMarius thought he was just overreacting. "Well, I mean, if she said she was going to work then she was probably going to go do some work." Nico tried reasoning with Sky. "Yeah, he's right." Chaz agreed. "But doesn't it seem just a little suspicious that she's gOing to work on our day off with a big backpack, her laptop, camera, and the fact that she was in a rush." Sky continued. "I have to agree with Sky on this one. Evalina acts weird, sure, but never this weird." Josh replied. "She always travels light when she's working and usually just does her work in her hotel room." Sky said justifying his response. 

"Just wait a while, she'll probably be back in an hour or so." DeMarius said unconcerned. "Yeah, you need  to just be patient." Jeff said. "Now let's go explore." Chaz said. "We'll just hang back. I mean since Ben is here we can ask him about how his day went." Josh said wiggling his eyebrows. Sky smirked. They linked arms and skipped to the elevator. "Ta! Ta!" They cried in unison. 

Back to present....

"Well, she did say that she had somewhere, quote on quote, really important to be." Ben reasoned. "I'm sure she'll be back soon." He said. "For her boyfriend, you're really unconcerned." Josh said offhandedly. Ben's face turned very red. "Shut up! I don't even know if she likes me." Ben replied, his hands covering his face. "Yeah but you're Ben Cook. Back to the topic though, it's been two hours and her door hasn't so much as opened." Sky said flopping onto Josh's bed.  "She'll be back eventually. Plus she still has my hat." Ben replied.

"We better to get dinner. We can check on her after that." Josh said. " I want something that has to do with bacon. " "Yeah, yeah. Let's just get going." Sky said. " I don't wanna go. " Ben said. "But baaaaabe. I want food." Josh said tugging at his arm. "Then go alone. " "But I haven't seen you all day." Josh whined. " Fine. " Ben said getting out of bed.

They all decided to go out to a nearby pizzeria. After spending an hour and a half there they then went out to meet up with the others to go see a movie in a theater. As Dan Deluca put it, just a couple of regular guys doing regular guy things. After they had finished they all returned to the hotel. Sky broke off from the group with Josh, Ben, and DeMarius. "Honey, what am I doing here?" DeMarius asked. "Because... we're roommates." Sky said. "Real reason in five, four, three, two."DeMarius "Alright so you remember how I told you Evalina was acting weird earlier. Yeah so two or so hours later we went to go find her and she wasn't at her room so we're going to try again. Plus she accidentally stole Ben's hat. C'mon. Please, there's something going on, I just know it." 

"Let's just go check then. But I get to pick the movie tonight." DeMarius said. "YAY!" They all walked to her room. Josh knocked on the door. He waited a few minutes then tried again. "Maybe she just can't hear us. Try calling her." Sky suggested. Ben pulled out his phone and opened her contact. He lent against the wall. "No answer. All I got was voicemail." Ben said. "Try facetiming her." Sky suggested. "I don't, what? She's never face timed me wouldn't it be weird." "I can do it." DeMarius said pulling out his phone too. "You've face timed her?" Ben asked. "Yeah, sometimes she's on her computer and loses her phone and I just need to talk to her about something random." He said shrugging his shoulders. 

DeMarius tried. "She's not answering. I tried texting too. Maybe she's just busy or something. Just chill out guys, we'll see her at the show tomorrow. And if you're so curious just ask her then, or just keep trying to call her. Or just ask her uncle tomorrow." DeMarius said exasperated. "Fine. Let's go back to our rooms." Josh said.  "Let's just wait until tomorrow. We can just call or text her while we're in our rooms." Sky said sighing. "See you guys later." "Byee, we're going to go visit Steph and Ginna." Josh said. He dragged Ben with him to a room near Evalina's and knocked. "We've come to hang out." Ben said in a funny voice. 

So for the rest of the night Josh, Ben, Ginna, Stephanie, who were later joined by Dan and Jacob, talked and hung out eventually going to their designated rooms and going to sleep. 

The next day

"We're going to be late to breakfast!" Ben yelled. Josh simply rolled himself even more up in blankets. Ben quickly flicked open the blinds. Josh groaned. "UGH! Fine. FINE. I'll get ready." Josh said rolling out of the bed. Ben sat on his bed and fiddled with his phone as Josh rushed to get ready.

Eventually they made it to breakfast, thirty minutes late night I add. The boys and girls all are in peace having mindless banter and exchanging jokes or simply chatting about random things. No one thought to bring up the subject of Evalina because A, it had not crossed their minds and B, she was known not to usually show up to their meal meetings because she had work so it wasn't exactly out of the ordinary. 

"We better get going to theater so we still have time for warm ups." Stephanie said checking the time. "Yaay, two show day every day we're here." Sky said sarcastically. "We all know you secretly love it." Dan said with a laugh. "Yeah, yeah. Let's just get going." The group began walking towards the theater. Doing the occasional silly thing or just dancing in the street. Eventually they made it to the theater and they all went to their dressing rooms to find papers on their tables under each of their names. Of course this was no coincidence, as mentioned before Jeff Calhoun did in fact keep his promise and put all the papers in the dressing rooms making sure not to leave any trace of it behind even leaving some for a few crew members and himself as to not raise suspicion. 

"Are these..." Ben mumbled reading the paper. He looked over to the others who were doing the same. "Where did these come from?" Jordan asked. This time instead of multiple dressing rooms fit for three or four they had one big one for all the male ensemble. "I don't know but it looks like it's from that youtuber." Sky said as he finished reading it. Chaz jumped out of his chair laughing. "YES! You guys know this is the next clue to who she is, right?" Everyone chuckled at Chaz, he and pretty much everyone there loved anything from broadway.com. "Alright so we now know that said person is Italian-American. That's the hint." Chaz said. 

"Wait... Chaz we're not actually going to try and figure this out are we?" Jack asked. "Yes, yes we are." Chaz said triumphantly. "I'm just going to use google docs because we can't carry a literal cork board around." "You know we can't actually figure out who it is, right? I mean it's like looking for a needle in a hay stack." Ben said, scrolling through instagram. "Don't be such a Debbie Downer, Ben. Besides there are so many of us, we can just burn the hay stack. And we have two more clues, this girl clearly knows who we are, our tour schedule, and has connections in the theater and that she's Italian-American or American-Italian. Whichever way you know what I mean." 

"Easy it's Evalina." DeMarius said. Everyone looked at him. A multitude of 'no way's and 'yeah right's and 'that's not possible's circled the room. "Think about it, she's part Italian. Her uncle is our director, she knows our schedule because she's traveling with us, and she's always at the theater early." He said as he was grabbing his his clothes to get ready to change. "But why wouldn't she tell us, then." Josh said. "The question is why would she tell us. Think about it. How much do we really know about her. How often does she hang out with us when she has free time, she spends a lot of her time isolated or just sneaking around the theater if you think about it." Nick said slowly as realization dawned on him and the others. "We should ask her, I'm sure she'd be honest with us." Sky said. "Plus she'll be stuck with us for a year or all of tour so..." "We can ask her when she pops up again." Jack said. "What if it's not her?" Nico said. 

"Then we're back to the drawing board." Chaz said. They all continued to get ready with the occasional pop in from other cast mates and such. "This is your five minute call, I repeat your five minute call." Rung through the backstage. Everyone could hear the theater filling up and all the people there. "Have any of you guys seen Evalina? I have to return this jacket I borrowed from her." Stephanie said as she popped in, already fully dressed. "No, we haven't seen her since yesterday." Ben said. "She'll turn up some point during the show and if not just ask Jeff." Nick said shrugging. 

And so they did just that. Each of them were on the lookout to see if she would pass by at some point during the show. By intermission they were all confused. "Hey, Jeff. Where's Evalina? We haven't seen her all day and Stephanie wanted to return her jacket." Josh said as he had already gotten all his makeup and changed what he had to about his outfit. "She had work, she won't be back for another day." Jeff said. "But she works here." Josh said. "True but she has other jobs too. Now go get ready and get to places, we don't want a mishap like last time." Jeff said. "She has other jobs?" Josh asked confused. "Yeah, she doesn't just work at Newsies. She's a photographer so she probably gets other gigs or stuff like that so if she just disappears it's either because she went to visit her family or go do something for work. I'm pretty sure it's the latter. You can ask her when she gets back. She should be back in two days." 

Josh was surprised. "Okay, thanks Jeff." "No problem now go get to places." Josh walked back to the dressing rooms. "Did Jeff tell you where she was?" Nick asked curious as he was about to go to the stage. "About that, Jeff said she was either at her other job or with her family." Josh replied confused. " She has another job? " Nick asked confused. "That's what I was saying. Not only that Jeff doesn't even know where she is exactly. Almost like she leaves often." Josh said. " Guess we'll have to ask her when we get back. " Nick said shrugging as he made his way to the stage.

"It still doesn't make sense." Josh mumbled to himself. " what doesn't make sense? " Ben asked Josh, cigar in hand. "I asked Jeff Sr. where Evalina was and he said she was either at her other job or with her family. But doesn't she not like her family and vice versa?" Josh said. " True, I mean we did see the exchange between her and her brother. " Ben replied. "And another job, that she never mentioned." Josh said. " it doesn't add up. " he continued. "We'll just have to ask her when she gets back. It's the only logical thing because obviously she lost her phone or something because she's not answering any of our texts." Ben said, slightly worried.

So that's what they did. For the next two days the Newsies waited patiently for her to return and ask her about where she was. Knowing that she probably wouldn't be back until the day they were boarding the bus they waited. They did give the clue that E on Broadway had left for them at the live stream and a couple of people in the live stream had actually asked where the girl in some of their photos was. They said that she do was apart of the cast, I'm a way. Some people even asked some questions like what her favorite candy was because they had come seen the show and met Evalina at the stage door when she was taking pictures and actually conversed with her and would be seeing the show again at another time. The newsies decided that in one of the takeover days they would officially introduce her to stop all of the confusion.

I'm the 24th when Sky, Ben, and Josh were heading out to the theater they failed to notice the light coming from Evalina's room. Boy would they be in for a surprise at that matinee.
