person a and person b had dated during their time in high school and they were madly in love. however, as most puppy loves go, they ended up breaking up for the better. it was a hard but mutual decision as the couple prepared to go to separate schools and begin their own lives, moving away and on from their first love.

fast forward a few years, person a and b are graduated from college and back in new york city. person a is on their way to work and they decide to stop into a coffee shop to help prepare them for the day. however, as they turn to leave, person a is shocked to come face to face with the last person they'd think, person b.
