Katherine sat down on the couch in their living room , the smell of pumpkin candles burning and the decorations up.

She was scrolling through the internet looking for a good couple's costume for her and jack .

He said "don't care" but she did .

She wanted good costumes that would surely win the costume contest in a few weeks .

After much research and Tumblr scrolling she decided on their costumes .

"Jack !" She called to the kitchen where he was cooking dinner .

"Yes ?" He asked .

"I have the perfect costume idea ! It is so wonderful !" She said closing her laptop.

"What is it?" He asked .

"Surprise ! But trust me you'll love it ! Swear by it!" She crossed her heart .

"Um... okay if you say so... just want to let you know I'm not wearing tights, a wig, makeup , heels or a skirt ... and I'm not gonna dress up as Brandon Urie from Panic ! At The Disco for a fourth year in a row" he said .

"Okay deal!" She ran to their bedroom to grab her purse so she could run off and grab supplies .

After an exciting trip to the craft and fabric store she began to sketch a basic idea .

When she was satisfied with the shape and such she went to her sewing machine.

She figured making Jack's would take the longest so she should start on that. With black fabric in her hands and a grey thread she began to make the shirt part of his costume, he already had pants that would fit the costume so there was no point in making some , plus it would save oh so valuable sewing time.

Once most of his and her costume was done she had to do some intense YouTube video watching .

Learning how to apply fake scars and make something look like an open flesh wound .

She also had to figure how to style her own hair , knotting it a handful of times and loosing rubber bands, snapping some of them in two .

She wanted to make her brows stronger and find her pair of shoes that would look so wonderful for their costumes !

She was excited to say the least , she knew jack had been trying to sneak peak over the past three or four days but she wasn't going to have it !
This surprise couple costume would  in fact be a surprise !

Once she was happy with the results she threw the costumes on two dress forms and added some finishing details .

A smile grew on her face when she saw the finished product.

"Jack ! Come see it's done !" She yelled into the living room where she could hear the game playing on their television.

He walked into the guest room to see two costumes , one all black and having a mask that was clearly bought at the Disney store that's he took some paint too and the other was a beige costume .

"So ?" She asked happily .

"Let's see ... Kylo Ren and Rey from the force Awakens ?"
