Katherine sat down on her bed , and looked out the window . She should have been there ... She should have stopped it. Clara's death was all her fault .

"Let's go out tonight !" Clara said jumping on Katherine's bed .

Katherine pushed her glasses back up her nose "studying " Katherine said and went back to her history textbook .

"There could be cute guys !"

"I have a boyfriend and so do you ... Does the name David Jacobs ring a bell ?" Katherine asked .

"Ugh ! Fine ! You stay in here and have a pity party al by yourself! I'm gonna get the girls and we're gonna party ... Have fun with Thomas Jefferson and James Madison !" Clara said walking out the door .

"Always do !" Katherine said and she went back to her book .

Katherine was sitting on her bed and she could still hear my phone ring .

"Hello ?" Katherine asked putting her cup of noodles down .

"Are you Katherine Pulitzer?"

"Yes who is this ?" Katherine asked .

"Hello , I'm officer Rony, you're the first speed dial in Clara McDowell's phone ..."

"Yes I am ... What's up ?"

"Clara's been in a horrible car crash... She's in a coma down at St. Anna's hospital " he said .

"Oh my god ... Okay thank you " Katherine said and she threw her shoes and sweater on .

Katherine sat on her bed and remembered the IV's and cords hooked up her Clara .

Katherine walked in , Clara laid pale and lifeless on the hospital bed . "How is she ?" Katherine asked .

The doctor sighed "she's not doing too well ... I'd take the time to say my final goodbye if I was you miss " he said and walked out .

Katherine sat down and grabbed Clara's hand with barley any color ."why did I let you go ? Why didn't I go with you ? Why was it not me sitting in the damn bed ? I can't go on without you ... Clara .... Please don't leave me ... You're the closest thing I have to a sister ... I loved you .... You're my family " Katherine said crying .

Davey put his hand on Katherine's shoulder and rubbed it . "She loved you too ... She always said how smart and fun and how far you're gonna go in life " he said .

Katherine sighed and then felt Jack's warm embrace "she wouldn't want you to cry " Jack said .

Katherine hugged him and buried her face in his chest "I can't say goodbye"

Katherine looked to the city below her , the cars driving  and it still full of life even at 2:30 in the morning.

Katherine could hear that sound she'd never wanna hear again .

"Beep ... Beep ... Beep ... Beep ....beep ... Beeeeerep " and the machine went flat .

Katherine cried harder into Jack's chest . Davey kissed Clara's forehead and went to hug the other two .

Katherine turned to see him and she hugged him as well "why ?" She asked . Davey sighed and ran his hand down her hair .

A nurse came in and escorted them out . Katherine climbed tightly onto Jack's arm and davey's hand .

"It's ally my fault " Katherine said .

Jack sat down next to her "no it's not ... Even if you would have gone with her this would have happened ... Even if she stayed home it would happen ... There's a reason why Katherine " Jack said .

Davey sat down "she didn't leave this world wanting you to blame yourself every waking moment " Davey told her .

"How can you act so calm ? You're girlfriend just died !" Katherine serenaded .

"I know , but I know that she wouldn't want me to cry ... She would want me to be happy that's he's up in heaven with her brothers ... She's gonna watch over you ... I'm not crying because she lived life as best as she could for 25 years ... God decided that he wanted another angel " Davey said rubbing her back .

Katherine nodded "another angel " she said and leaned head on Jack's shoulder and grabbed Davey's hand .

"We're gonna be okay " Davey said .
"Heaven will watch over us "

"They do have another angel " she said bad Jack kissed her forehead .
